The wiccan religion is where you get the pentagram from. If it's pointing with two points down, it's for the wiccan and their belief of the elements and the equality of the sexes. If it's turned upside down, it is of the satanists (of from what I've read, the originals weren't so bad; they didn't sacrifice virgins or the like, that's where those damned fanatics come in like they do with so many other religions) and is supposed to represent the head of Baal (if you draw a star and flip it upside down, the two points at the top are the horns, the two on the side are also horns, and the one on the bottom represents his goatee). Try reading parts of the Satanic Bible. The later parts are pretty insipid, but the book does have its moments. Or for more wiccan info, consult the Necronomicon.

The satanists that I've met have been incredibly nice and like to give to the community and have good morals, etc. They have told me that satanism is more of a philosophy than a religion, whereas devil worshipping is a religion and that devil worshipping is evil or whatnot, and that it gives satanism a bad name.

But when you think about it, it's all semantics, because the goals for satanism and many other major religions are fairly similar.

But I need to read up some more on satanism vs. devil worshipping to know if what I'm saying really has any truth to it.

hmm....somehow the wiccan topic which has nothing to do with satan has turned into talk about satan worshipping and the necronomicon. Christian propaganda wins again.

Wiccanism and Satanism both share the pentagram, therefore they are tied. The fact that they have two different meanings is what makes them different. That and their beliefs, but they both dwelve into the black arts. I didn't make this pro-Christian, I simply stated a point earlier, butthole.

Being satanist or wiccan doesn't necessarily make you evil or anything. There are lots of nice people in said cults. Cults/sects/religions, like any other practice, have fanatics that take things too far and many times, only the bad things are heard from about them. At least the wicca and satanists haven't led a Crusade or jihad. Though, the satanists do have their village idiot in the name of Anton Szandor LaVey (author of the Satanic Bible, which has it's points, but the dude is a nut).

similar symbols don't make a connection. The swastika was a symbol of peace for thousands of years before the Nazis took it as their symbol.

by the way, would it be possible for you to make a contradictory point without making some reference to the anus or anal sex? that would be just delightful.

My friend does wiccan and everytime we went into his room to hit bongs, you would feel a good energy present and it was always a good time in there.
