Yeah I once tried to get him to put up links to footbag.org and I now have the opinion that everybody at that site is completely crazy and that they have a completely negative effect on the popularity of footbag and on footbag as a sport.

I remember when I started to find information about the fabulous worlds of freestyle thought Internet. First I got some knowlege about freestyle from the finnish site, footbag.fi
Then I checked some international sites: I luckily tried to type both footbag.com AND footbag.org adresses to the Internet Explorers adress bar :P Man, I was lucky.

I read some parts of Danceman-Bloughys "footbag dance" book from footbag.com and noticed that it's completely full of baja.
Also comparing to the footbag that are sold on footbag.fi and the stores in Finland I had to laugh for the fanzy crapola kicking sacks that footbag.com sells.

Agh, only thinking of those gollies makes me angry.

Moreover, these players often make these feats look so easy and natural that they might go unnoticed by the casual fan or observer. Basketball has its Michael Jordan, boxing has its Muhammad Ali, football has Barry Sanders, baseball has Pete Rose, hockey has Wayne Gretsky, tennis has Pete Sampras, golf has Tiger Woods, cycling has Lance Armstrong, and soccer has Pele. These men have become icons in the world of sport, and as such they have become synonymous with human excellence.

But what of the great players and innovators of the sports that are not so well-entrenched within the fabric of our society? What of the athletes who have risen to stellar heights in their own unique sport, despite the fact that the sport itself exists in relative obscurity? What can be said or written about these men and women and their contributions to not only the world of sport, but to the sport of life in general? Well, in the game of footbag one name stands out like a shining star; that name is Steve Blough. The interview that follows is an attempt to get to know this man, “The Danceman”, a true living legend amongst legions of footbaggers world wide.

The stupid thing about blowchi is that it isnt even footbag dance. If steve blow dances like that its because he lacks skill and imagination, as if any of us didnt already know this.

Hey guys. First post here, I just had to throw in some comments.

Ok, so I read some things over at footbag.com.

Really, I don't see how Footbag Dance is any more friendly to group footbagging than shredding is. With Footbag Dance, one could go on a tangent in a circle and hog the footbag for 30 kicks, shredders can do the same. A shredder would just do more stalls rather than a bunch of outside kicks. So I don't see how he justifies saying Footbag Dance is more fit for a circle. Experienced Dance players, and shredders alike both can be bag hogs.

Referencing this article: http://www.freestylefootbag.com/stall.htm

Assuming that what he calls "perpetual stallers" we call shredders:
Stalling interrupts that process when one kicker does his/her stopping-the-footbag thing which is a individual effort.
Isn't kicking the footbag to yourself over and over also an individual effort? Again, I'm coming back to the bag hogs in a circle can come from either style.
the definition of freestyle it is footbag kicking that is highly individualistic and creative and can involve spins, jumps, traveling, gymnastic moves, use of other objects, moving with music, stalling, etc
Isn't that also the definition of shredding? Last time I watched a good shredding vid there were spins, jumps, and moving with music, oh yeah, and stalling.

It seems like this guy just doesn't understand what shredding is about, or maybe I don't and this post was just completely wrong. Lol.
