Sorry for the late response, but I only have the internet at work
What I hit was gyro whirl, now that I think about it.

Well lets see,
This past Friday and Saturday were pretty slow. I kicked for a total of 4 hours those two days. 2 hours Friday, 2 hours Saturday. Those days I pretty much schooled the basics. My legs are starting to get sore, so I have been thinking about taking a day off, but at the same time I CANT GET ENOUGH! Friday I played alone, so it was sort of a light session. I dont think I hit anything new. The same with Saturday. I went down to the spot that everyone shreds at, where all the breakdancers are, but only one person, chahan, was there. :( He said he only had about 2 hours to shred, so we sort of got right into it. I dont like playing outside when its cold. My legs do not warm up at all. Plus I am starting to feel shin splints again, which sucks. I think that brings me to yesterday. Yesterday I went to a park where the `other` group of shredders are. I dont know why everyone doesnt just meet at one location or the other. I prefer the spot where all of the breakdancers are. It was cold as hell yesterday, and windy, but I still had some good strings:
I hit:
phoenix (bsos)
barfly (bsos)
torque (bsos) and pdx. torque (all in one string)
The people I played with yesterday were not too energetic about shreddin, which made it harder for me to get into it. We played for just about 3 hours, then went to dinner. Yuko, who took first in last year`s sick two at the Japan nationals, is getting a lot better. Her ripwalks are looking nicer, and it looks like she barely uses any energy to do them.
After dinner, everyone went their separate ways. On my way back home (it took about 40 minutes from where we ate), I noticed that I really wanted to shred some more. As I got back to my station, I found myself walking to where I normally shred, lacing up, and shreddin :D I schooled spins, torques a little, swirls, and pixie sets.
I hit:
spinning osis > spinning osis
dyno > pdx. Drifter (bs)
gyro ducking clipper
gyro ducking butterfly

I felt really strong going into the session, which was sweet :) , after just over an hour, I decided that I was done. My legs were sort of sore, and I figure today I would rest. The problem is, I want to shred RIGHT NOW!
I am taking a Kanji (japanese character) test on the 5th of February, so I should study for that more than I am, but all I want to do is shred
I think that is about it, no new flirting or anything of the sort, except Saturday an old man came up and started talking to us about footbag. He also took some video of us, and then took our picture :D
I want to start schoolin nuclear some more. Justin Dale has a nice nuclear set. :!:

Hey Zach!

My girlfriend wants to head back out that way, and I guess I woulnt mind going back, except that I dont know if I will have the money to.
Plus, summer in Japan is really sweet!
The amount of women that are beautiful are off the chain :!:
Plus I get to shred in front of them, and I get to see cherry blossoms and shred by castles, which will be filmed, or so I hope.

So, I guess to answer your question, Im still not sure.

Are you coming to Japan this summer?

Now for Yesterday,

Yesterday was the first day in a long while that I did NOT kick 8O
I think it was one of the better decisions that I made yesterday. My legs needed a rest, I just wouldn`t listen to them, and Im glad I did yeterday.
I`m really glad that Kenzo is out here too, because he is getting really good and it`s making me push myself. I also hate the fact that Kenzo is out here, because he is getting really good...
I plan on drilling stepping today, and swirls, spins and torques. I noticed that I have been saying that for almost a week now, and I have not seen much progress  At least its fun :D I am going to start doing more consecutives also. It seems that all of the good players that I know are also good at consecutives, which makes sense, but for some reason I just never do them. (at least not as much as I want to)
That is all for yesterday. I will post about today`s shred tomorrow, so...

Yesterday was a really rewarding session, although I didn`t realize it until after I got home.

I was excited to play, since I took the day off two days ago. As I arrived at the station, I looked around at the masses of people going their own separate ways. I sat down at the spot where I shred, and began to stretch. My right inside shin has been funny lately, and so has my upper outside left leg. I really think it is because its cold
After stretching I did a really slow warm up, which I should do everytime.
I did a lot of pixie > op toe (rpt), duck clip (rpt) bs, and so on. I wasnt feeling that I had a lot of energy, so the session wasnt intense like it usually is, however I realized that I was schooling and linking what I wanted to, and I was showing an improvement in control. I was pushing as hard as I normally do, but at the same time my sets were a lot nicer, and thus I wasnt using as much energy to do them. I ended up playing for about 3 hours, but I rested numerous times to stretch. It was a really fast 3 hours, and I am looking foward to todays shred, especially because my girlfriend said she is going to make me dinner while I am kickin, so when I am done, I can go home to her, and dinner 8O :D excellent...
I hit:
ddd (seal)
linked swirl and rev swirl (only strong side, unfortunately)
dimwalk swirl 8O < that felt good
fairy ss mirage x 10
spinning clipper > zulu clipper (rpt) < thanks for the drill tip
swirl > swirl < that felt really good because now I know I am getting better at them :D
phoenix > symp whirl

Thank you ...

I have decided to add this post separately, as opposed to editing it in to the previous post.

Ive noticed recently that my motivation hasnt been as high as it was. Im not sure, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that I havent been doing drills and consecutives  SO, from this day on, I will try my best to update and post new drills and consecutives so that I have something to shoot for when I shred.
This first entry shouldnt be that hard to complete (with the exception of rubberman  ), so let`s see how it goes.
This is what I plan to hit today(Jan. 25th 2006):

EDIT::
Blue = Completed
Red = Not Completed

Butterfly > Butterfly (rpt) x 25
osis > osis (rpt) x 12
div. clipper > zulu clipper (rpt) x 10
gyro clip x 10 (bs)
rubberman
Torque x 3 (bs)

The torques might give me some trouble, but I will do my best. Plus, as in my previous post, my girlfriend (Hitomi, for anyone that wants to know :) ), is going to make me dinner tonight, and she can cook some GOOD Japanese food...

Hello again blog :)
As it turns out, those drills were harder than I thought
This is what I hit yesteday

Infinity x 53
osis > osis x 9
gyro clipper x 5
div. clip > zulu clip x 3

It took a lot more time that I thought it would, but I know it will pay off :D
I played for about 2hours, a little shorter than I wanted to, but my girlfriend and the dinner she made for me were waiting, so I called it quits after 2 hours.
My shred started up with stretching, as usual, followed by alternating pixies and clippers. Then I moved to butterflys, and after a few gyro/ spinning clippers, I busted out my 53 consecutive butterflys :o
Now if I could only do that with all of my tricks... :?
About an hour into my shred, I noticed a man watching me from time to time, as he paced from point A (where I was) to point B (30 feet from where I was), and back. I was wearing my Ipod, so I couldnt hear anything, but as we made eye contact, I noticed his mouth move. I took one of the headphones out of my ear. As it turned out, he knew a lot of english words, but didnt know how to use them too well. He ended up talking to me about, well, about, um, I dont think he said one thing to me that I really cared about  I dont think that he understood that I was in the middle of a shred, and by talking with him about nothing, all that was happening was that my legs were cooling down. After about 15 minutes, I told him to please feel free to watch my shred. I also told him I was getting cold, so I was going to get back into it.

By the end of my session, I still didnt feel satisfied  , although Im not sure why. I completed some of the challenges that I set for myself, and I got to shred, but for some reason that wasnt enough... I though about taking a couple days off, sort of because I think it would boost my motivation, and because my left upper leg just wont loosen up. I feel like it is about to cramp up at any minute during my shred. plus my right leg is funny too, but I really feel that playing in the cold has something to do with it.
well, today I will try to hit the drills that I havent completed in my last post. I will also have fun playing :D

I had a pretty decent shred yesterday, although, due to my right shin feeling funny, I didnt really push myself :(
My session started out with the usual. Stretching and then pixie sets. I then followed that up with fairy sets, and then clipper sets. My butterflys felt a lot better since I did those consecutives :) Just after stretching, before actually touching the bag, this girl Masayo that I havent seen in a long time walked by me. I stood up and waved to her. She came over and we talked for about 10 minutes. Just as she left, my girlfriend came through the ticket gate at the station. The timing couldnt have been better. My girlfriend already feels that its weird how many of my friends are girls, and not 30 seconds before she came through the ticket gate, I was telling Masayo that her shirt was a little short, and I touched the area of her lower stomach, above her pants, and below where her shirt ended, on her bare skin :D I dont think my girlfriend would have liked that
anyway,
The session was going good until I realized how much coffee I drank, and how much I hadnt gone to the bathroom :x I packed up my stuff and made my way to the bathroom. After feeling relieved I decided to relocate to a spot where I like to play when its warm. It is almost in the station, but its at the bottom of and staircase leading outside, where a group of breakdancers usually are. The ground is less slippery than in the station, but its a little cooler than inside the station. From that point, I sort of shredded, but mostly drilled stepping. I realized that the reason my upper left leg is in pain is because it is being used just about the same amount as my right leg 8O :D That is good to know...
Yesterday I hit:

Ripwalk x 5 (not close to Kenzo`s 29, but I will get there  )
gyro clipper x 6 (i think the last one was off the toe)
duck plo (bsos)
div leg over
duck p. (far) pickup

swirls still giving me problems  I think I should spend a whole day schoolin those, or even bringing a bag with me to work and tryin them throughout the day...
More to come...

EDIT:
I forgot, yesterday my girlfriend met up with me where I shred. She borrowed my shoes, which are way too big, mind you, and hit toe delay > toe delay twice!! The first time she stayed on the same foot, then the second time she alternated feet!!!!!
That was awesome...

Hey! I hit 5 consecutive ripwalks today too! We should battle.
As for swirls, have you tried setting up a stationary object and just dexing around it continuously? I found that helped me get the motions fluid and fast. Then again, I don't do many swirls and I'm not all that good at them. Anyway, maybe give it a try.

RIPWALK BATTLE!!!
That sounds fun :D
I accept. Today I will school them, and try to get it on video, but I only have a digi camera, so I dont know if that will work.
Thanks for the advice on swirls. I thought about doing that, after reading that thats what you did, but I just havent yet...
I should read your blog more...

what sort of object are you taking about.
