Why don't you post on .org?

This section is specifically for serious non-footbag debate and discussion.

Just a note :

the lack of edit button- you can post the same post under your first post which got mistakes in it -- > solved

Advantage: threads could not be changed after one person delete all their posts after posting or edit out the meaning. I want to remind to Damon's post s. Not to judge if it is good or bad to delete his posts out of any reasons- it will change all the threads he was posting.

the lack of pms- there is an email button --> solved

Advantage: email provider like gmail or others make much more services available than the pm box. In my case I lost much information of my inbox or I get angry because the users box was full and he didn't get my message. If you are not satisfied with your email provider - I still got 90 googlemail accounts left , so do not hesitate to send me an EMail. :-)

the lack of action at f.org- that is up to you - I am quite sure that if people would be around other there , there would be the same replies and posts at f.org too.

Advantage : newbs won't stay newbs for such a long time until they found out about modified and the excellent support by its members.

Really I think it is cool to have two forums because it is always better to have somekind of options if you do not like one of them.
Moreover both boards could produce smart things which you can learn.

I got nothing against people who do not like to answer all those questions of the newbs.
I just think it is nonsense to ignore this longtermeffects the change of the whole community would have.

Up to now I cannot think of one hindering aspect which cannot be solved by one big change of users.

I do not give a damn about where I post , where I have my blog, or where I add my answers to vids, I do it here or on f.org .

Modified is clearly the better choice for freestylists. The community at .org just have alot of new people. Which can be annoying. It's like reception before going to Basic Training... They teach you alot of the bare basics, postion of attention, saluting, left, right, and about face, soldier's creed, army values, at ease stance, just things that you need to know so that you don't get your nuts chopped off during the shark attack when you go "down range."

Newbs should start out at .org, learn alot of the basics. atw, mirage, clippers, and maybe some butterflies before coming here to learn the more advanced basics such as illusion, paradax mirage, symposium mirage, stepping, etc.

It's not exactly fair to just flat out say that you don't like .org, because really, you have to give them props... Newbs start out there, they keep em there while they learn the absolute bare basics, and then then learn about modified... It's a good thing.

I prefer modified over .org due to the fact that I can ask more complicated questions here, and the PMing factor is much better.

I'm sorry, but there is a reason for PMing. It's call convenience. So no, the problem is NOT solved through giving an e-mail. Not everyone has their e-mail for display (Atleast I don't think.), not to mention you have to open a new window, or leave the site to go to your e-mail, sign in, compose the e-mail and send it. THen go back to the forum to continue about your business. Problem NOT solved.

Editing your statments is the beutiful part about using online forums... You can always take back what you say... in real life. If you're really pissed off and you say something that you REALLY should not have said... Too fuckin bad, you said it. Online however. You can say that bad thing, post it, then come back 5 minutes later after gaining your head back, and then change what you said to somehting more civilized, or to say what you actually mean. I say alot of shit that I don't really mean... I mean, come on, shit happens. I joke with my girlfriend all the time. I'll say, "Your mom." She'll say, "You uncle.", I'll say, "Your dad." and then I'm like, shit... sorry. Because her dad died when she was like 5. I always forget about that, because when I'm messing around with her, my sense of humor doesn't check in with reality before choosing what to say... I wish I didn't do that, but it happens. I'm just glad that my girlfriend is very understanding of that. Wouldn't have lasted 2 days with any other girl with something like that in her past.

You kinda need to be able to edit your posts... It's like a right that everyone has on the internet... I'm sorry, but reading something that someone said in one post, then reading the correctino post below it... Well, that doesn't work...Because you can't use tone through text... So they will immediately take the above post and apply that to whatever else you say. negative + a positive = still a negative. You have to be dealing with "half-full" people in order for them to see the positive post as what you really want to say.

But I'm rambling. Bottom line. .org is more for the newbs, and I thank .org for sorting through that for us. Modified is the step up. Sure the videos and extras on there are nice... But no one responds to them anyway, as stated above.

Peace,
Fred.
