no one has mentioned

MACHINE HEAD (my fav band)
or At The Gates, Soilwork hmm I was thinking of some others but I forgot now.

I'm mainly into metalcore and stuff but my fave metal bands would have to include the above

+

Daysend
Frankenbok
Dark Tranquility
Strapping Young Lad
Trivium
Alchemist

and lots more

edit: how could I forget OPETH!!!

I saw them live a couple of months ago...it was one of the best shows of seen. The next day I saw Hatebreed, which was up there too.

I don't like Dream Theatre. They are all really talented, but they use that talent to make long, boring, wanky songs

DragonForce anyone? They play the best speed metal I have ever heard.

Btw I don't like Cannibal Corpse just because of the titles of songs. They rock. I just like their music. :)

Dream Theatre rocks hardcore! John Petruci is one of the best, if not the best guitarist out there. Their keyboardist is fuckin badass, and the drummer is nuts. Very talented bunch of guys. Didn't the singer used to sing Opera?

Alot of the metal bands that have been mentioned don't have any redeeming qualities. Lots of screaming and powerchords. awesome....

Metallica, and Pantera pwn them all. Fucking awesome lyrics, and all the band members are godlike.

Metal Bands I kick to

Post by Brad_R »

My two favorite metal bands to kick to are Tool and Primus. I like to kick to Aenima, Latarlus, and 10,00 days of tools albums. The only primus albums that I really like to shred to is Frizzle Fry, the whole album is hard hitting. I've seen TOOL four times in concert and Primus twice. They both don't miss a note. And tool always adds something extra. Of the heavier bands that I don't kick to, are The Locust and Lightening Bolt. I once put in Lightening Bolt down town, and people asked me to turn it way down. But when I blair the doors, they are all cool. Well, that is my two cents.

Yeah, I can't get my name in the footer or whatever it is called. So I'm putting it here temporarily.

I'm Brad Robinson, sometimes goes as Brad ARRRR!

I am sooooo excited!!!!!!

Both these bands are soooo awesome. Epica is practically one of my favourites. (Here's a shred video I made to their Illusive Consensus: http://www.hackrifice.com/shred/060600-grant.wmv )
