so i've only watched a couple episodes from the last few seasons. I watched the ending of an episode last night and chef turned into a darth vader-esque child molester. is that part of him quitting or just an old episode?

they used the old lines of chef from all the previous seasons for that episode because the voice actor quit. At the end of that episode, chef was killed. no more chef.

I heard he actually just had a stroke, and that press release about quitting because of scientology was issued by scientologists. apparently he has a wife and new kid, and actually needs the income from the show, so he'll be back.
