Awesome job working the osis. Thats my favorite trick right now but I still only get it like maybe 2 times out of 10 so I'm gonna start working that one.

My mosher didn't come either and I was hoping it would be here today. Whatcha gonna do?

Osis is my favourite too! When I first saw real footbag, osis really stood out to me. I guess it's 'cause of the behind-the-back look and because it's a slower, styley move that a beginner can see and understand.

And don't sweat it about your Mosher. It will come. And the longer you wait, the more excited you will be when it does! We should both post pictures when we get them and see who got the most wicked-awesome colour-scheme!!

You both got real nice footbags!

They were actually made one after another so they are very very close in style.

I am sure both of you will love them long time! :)

My shirts came in the mail today!! I think they look pretty sweet! Though there is room for improvement. They're on sale in the FOR SALE section. Check it out! And you'd better buy one for yo mama before somebody else does!

I got my Mosher and Peng bags today! I'll post pics of them later (look up to see the Peng bag). They look and feel awesome- it kills me that I'm stuck in the office today. And it's so nice outside too! Being an adult (or at least a 29-year-old boy) who likes to kick beanbags is a hard thing to be! Yeah... I'm 29 now... Well 28, but tomorrow is my birthday!

Tom- if you read this- what are the rules for the puzzle you made me?!! Can I re-use the letters? Do I have to make words with letters that are connected? Can I go diagonally?

Here, I'll try and re-create it incase someone else want's to figure it out. But don't post the answer until I've had a go at it myself!!!!

[H][H][N]
[T][O][E][V]
[Y][R][G][E]

Toms only instructions were: Find as many words as possible.

So far I found (depending on the rules):
Try
to
hit
groin
then
go
vent
the
green
hot
vein
never
ever
get
rot
in
it

thorn
hint

You're evil Peng! And to think I've already ordered my second shirt design in your size! Won't you give me some sort of direction? I won't sleep until I solve that puzzle!

The card was wicked! Of course, my favourite part was the "man cannon" drawing!!!!!

Perhaps I should scan it in when I get home.....

I'm so jealous now because mine didn't come yet. But I guess it's because you live closer to eachother.

Had a good weekend. Played with Greenwood (Slowsis) on friday and he gave me a bunch of great tips on my form, posture, and on a few moves. I hit my first paradox mirage! I even hit it mid-string (and in the same string as an osis!) Also, I got got my Haniabag in the mail!

Life is sweet right now, though it would be sweeter if I could firgure out Tom and Peng's damn puzzle.....

I thought I'd dust off this old blog and give it a fresh post:

I've been playing over a year now. I know I progress much more slowly than all the yougsters, but I'm proud of what I've accomplished so far. I continue to practice almost every day and I'm still having a blast doing it.

This is where I'm at right now (august 06, for future ref). On top of a pretty solid foundation of kicks and basic stalls I can do:

CONSISTENT TRICKS
Strong clipper
Mirage
SS mirage
Pickup
Leg over
ATW

CAN HIT MOST OF THE TIME TRICKS
Butterfly
Flip clipper
Osis

CAN HIT SOME OF THE TIME TRICKS
Pdx mirage
Far leg over
Dyno

NEED A FEW ATTEMPTS TRICKS
Ducking clipper, osis
Infinity
Swirl
Sidewalk
Tap
DLO

Right now I think I need to work on endurance and string length. I think that covers it. BTW I hit my first stepping/sidewalk today!!! And swirl!!

Whatever Mike. You say you're learning slow, but you're SOOOOO much better now than ever before. I think if you keep on going the way you are right now, you'll be shredding the big adds in the near future. Keep up the good work, dude.

No big ADDs for me, Skippy. But my tiltless is improving. My runs are longer now, and it feels good. I've learned to slow my game down - and it really helps my consistency. Even my flip clipper is good when I do a deep slow catch and release.

I can almost do stepping and atomic sets. I've hit sidewalk a bunch of times mid-string, and tap too. Footed atom smasher. That is my dream move. Cant wait to get those. Pixie is ever elusive for me....

I started a new drill this week. I cant shred in my appartment 'cause it makes too much noise, but I can practice ATW and things that don't require jumping/stomping. I've started schooling swirls- 100 attempts per side. It takes less than half an hour, so I may increase it to 200 per side. I've only hit it a few times so far, but then, it's only been 2 days.

Oh, and I got a Felix bag! Tom bought it for me at worlds. I'm almost affraid to kick it!

Alright. Kickass2 was so much fun!

My will to improve is now stronger (by about 5%). Sometimes, in footbag, I hit a mental obstacle. Like, for instance, working on a single move for 8 months with no success. Or, watching some kid less than half my age and only 6 months of experience beat me in circle competition.

When these things happen I feel I have only 2 choices (though there are more). 1: quit. 2: train harder.

So far, I've always opted for 'train harder'. But really, there are other important things in my life that deserve time, so I can't just keep spending more and more time kicking the bag around. I have to turn 'harder' into 'better', or 'smarter'.

I have 1 - 2 hours max per day to spend on footbag. I spend most of this time drilling instead of just playing. I'm usually working on a single move that is eluding me (flip osis at the moment). When it gets tiring I'll switch it up and work on something else. I don't have much of a plan, or even immediate goals to acheive. I'll just work on whatever pops into my head.

I'm going to change that now and see how it works out. I'll give myself some challenges and set some personal records to beat. I'm also going to focus even more on flip osis and not give up on it so easily.

So, here is my records list. (I'll set them all next session)

Alternating clippers: 10ish

Consecutive left foot clipper: 15ish
Consecutive right foot clipper: 10 ish

Diving clippers: 2

Infinity: 1 (can only do it one way  )

Consecutive left foot mirage: 20 ish
Consecutive right foot mirage: 10 ish

Legovers: ?

Pickups: ?

========

I'll need to come up with some good drills too. Please suggest something if you happen to be reading this!

Nice. Glad you like it Nate! Remenber to wash it inside out!
I work on the clipper > far legover link alot. Will have to start both-siding more it in my strings though. Clipper>pickup>mirage>legover. Got it. Will add that to the mix.
