video magazine would be great (like 411vm in skateboarding), but online should come first, then print, then video. It's a matter of time and resource, each type of publication requiring more of both in that order.

I don't see why flipsider can't be all the things you guys want from a mag and more.

flipsider *can* be that first step, but most people just want to talk and not do. The medium is there, folks. Do something! prove me wrong! Write engaging articles (tourney reports, interviews, historical perspectives, evolutionary observations, ____your_idea_here____) and compliment your text with images (still and/or moving).

Not every article has to be a masterpiece. The site is also a blog, which means when something noteworthy happens, people can post a brief summary with links to the real stuff (takes 3 minutes of your life). Allan Haggett has been pretty active at freedomfootbags.com/blog if you want a good example. There has been a lot happening, but I can't (won't!) do everything myself.

Actually you don't send *me* anything, you submit them yourself directly to the site. It's really easy. Actually the interface is a little tricky the first time you use it (that why I wrote a tutorial), but it's very powerful (more than just a simple text field, like on forums).

I disagree. I think people don't photograph the sport well. Look at some of the stills from BOTS; Jere knows how to shoot.
