I cook regularly because I try to have all of us eat supper together. It cuts down on grocery costs and we all eat better food this way that is good for us. There's 3 of us in the apartment, Tom, Joel (our roomate), and me. Oh... and the cat Lotus, who loves tuna water.

I think I'm a good cook. I'm really good at making one-pot cooking and casseroles. Anything I can whip together in less than 1/2 hour and covers all the food groups is my kind of cooking. I never use recipes, but I have 2 of the best prep cooks who help out and make things easy and quick. I make a mean pot of chili and a wicked crepe.

On the menu for tomorrow:

Roasted fingerling potatoes with rosemary and thyme
Asparagus with balsamic reduction
Fresh bread
Angel hair pasta with olive oil, garlic, and lemon
And a key lime sorbet if I get around to it.

Mmmm...

No. That's HAMburger. Lamb can be LAMBburger...just like TURKEYburger is for turkey. :P

EDIT: You know what? Hamburger should be beefburger...or steak or cow. Why is it called that when it comes from a cow and not a pig?

I've been shopping all organic and eating 2-3 meals a day at home.

I make Blackberry Pancakes, Oatmeal, Coffee, and Omelettes better than anyone. Oh and Vegan Milkshakes.

Immigrants to the United States from German-speaking countries brought with them some of their favorite foods. One of them was Hamburg Steak. The Germans simply flavored shredded low-grade beef with regional spices, and both cooked and raw it became a standard meal among the poorer classes. In the seaport town of Hamburg, it acquired the name Hamburg steak. Today, this hamburger patty is no longer called Hamburg Steak in Germany but rather "Frikadelle," "Frikandelle" or "Bulette," orginally Italian and French words.

haha, just googled "hamburger origin"

Today I turned the oven on with a spin which set it to a random number that was hot. Then I put torillas flat and spread basil and pesto marinera sauce on them with 4 dollops of whipped cream cheese topped with dill black peppers and olive oil . They were crunchy and able to be held in one hand. and good. Ashley said they were great.

lately i've been making a lot of curry.

I fry up garlic, ginger, lots of basil, 2 inch long cuts of scallion, and a lot whatever hot peppers I have growing out back, let the garlic brown, then add the chicken. when that's almost cooked through I add soy sauce, pepper, soy sauce, a can of coconut milk, and green peppers.

I'm the world's greatest trail chef.

From vegan to omnivorous cuisine, I make dishes on the trail that are better than what I have been served in any restaurant.

I made (from scratch, screw you pillsbury) southern style biscuits yesterday, my god...I love that smell...

I can't brag about anything though, I need to follow the recipe exactly or I've ruined dinner...

Can I brag about my baking? Yesterday we had people over so I made a pumpkin swirl cheesecake from scratch including the crust. Everyone loved it. It was my first time making a cheesecake so it took some time, but I don't think I could have done a better job.

How's that for bragging?
