I made my first 32 panel bag this morning, there is a picture in my blog. :)

I also hit a ton of pickups both sides today, they are looking better.

Nice job on the 27 consecutive legovers, Zach. :P

I worked on atomic some today, but mostly concentrated on fairy set.
-4 or 5 atomsmashers both sides
-3 or 4 fairy smashers strongside
-2 fairy smashers flipside (first time I managed to hit them)

I think my atomic form is pretty good, and I'm figuring out how to get a consistently high set with fairys.

I'm Josh M. and I am a solo kicker most of the time. I'm tiltlessand now almost guiltless.

I didn't kick today, but I kicked yesturday with a couple of other shredders. First time I've kicked with anyone since the last time I went down to Tucson. Only real highlights were that I came really close to getting ripped warrior again. I tried twice and both times I had the perfect set for doing it! I just need to skool it a little more.

later..

I had another session today after two resting days. I think that I'm getting a shin splint in my right shin so I put spenco's into my G-units along with the G-unit insole. My left ankle kinda hurts when I play also, right where it cranks, but not when I'm cranking it which is strange. And my groin is tight on the right side. Damn injuries!

Anyway, I went for some fairy tricks after reading sen's post about hitting fairy ducking butter (props on that one), today was the first time I actually tried fairy's as a set.

I hit a few new things:

Butter>infinity>ducking clip>rpt

Butter>infinity>gyro clip>ssbutter>infinity>gyro clip off the foot

Fear and fairy opp butter (fairy beater or something?) BS

Leg beater and fairy beater in one string

Smear>pixie ss mirage (crispy terrage?)>rpt, but the last contact was footed

It was a good day, if I feel alright tomorrow (which I hope I do) I'll have another session.

Josh nice job on almost hitting ripped warrior, thats a sweet trick. I can't duck out of any sets, even though my pixie is consistent and my stepping is almost as consistent as my pixie. I just cannot get any power out of them. Oh well...

Good luck on that trick!

Wow, nice job on all the fairy stuff guys. Kinda makes me wish I weren't entering into the fairy game so late. :? And nice job with those beers, Kamil. Keep practicing-- I bet you can get 5 for sure!

I only played 30 minutes today because I was tired from lack of sleep, but I hit atomsmasher BS, tap BS, fear BS, fairy ss mirage BS, and fairy butterfly strongside in that time. I need a lot more work on those sets though.

GREAT SESH!!!

Post by sen »

Woke up late this morning. Missed my chance to go in the ministry like I had planned today. Sat around all morning watching TV and videos and then decided to shred for a bit.

A bit turned into my longest session in a while... an hour and forty five minutes. I started off planning to work my flip whirl like crazy. I did. I haven't really ever worked them too much. I never really skool anything actually, but that's a story for later. My work on flip whirls went really well. Alot better than I expected. It was fun to work on them too. Anyways, had a good session. Did more than just whirl work too, but the highlights will show that. I should be more upset that I never got flip tomahawk after trying it soo many times and footing quite a few. But my flip whirl isn't great yet, and I've never been good at ducking onto that side. *shrug* I'm happy I was able to foot it!

<b>Highlights</b>
osis>whirl>osis>whirl
Footed Flip Tomahawk
Pixie ss illusion bs
fear>smear bs
dimwalk>flip paradox whirl>paradox whirl>osis>footed ducking clipper
pixie whirl (flip) a bunch of times!!
maggelan bs (first for flip)
maggelan>maggelan strong side. Am I spelling that right??

Nice job with all the whirling sen.

No. It's magellan. :)

I didn't play yesterday and I'm not playing today because I can still occasionally feel my left patella, so I'm trying to make sure it's 100% better. It's hard not to kick when I've been playing so well, but I have to remember that taking 2 days off now might save me a 1 month injury in the future. :?

Atomic

Post by sen »

Played for an hour in my kitchen.

I set out to work on flip spinning, but didn't do alot of that. I need to spend some time and figure out why it won't work. In my attempts today I think it got WORSE instead of better! I was hitting it a bit at the beginning of the session, but by the end I couldn't do it at all! :?

Then I decided I wanted to try atomic sets since I had never looked at them and thought they might be possible. They were possible! A few tries and I managed to start hitting them at about 50% percent consistancy (SP?) I tried to hit atom smasher off my good sets, but with no real success. Footed a few. I also messed around with some other stuff...

<B>Hightlights:</b>
Atomic sets for the first time bs
lost my mosher trying atomics
Found my mosher lying out in the open...
footed Atom Smasher bs
ducking mirage bs
ducking legover bs
flapper set spinning clipper

<b>Hours:</b> 1
<b>Total Summer Hours:</b> 11

I had my first double session ever yesterday. I woke up around 10, played, then chilled out till like 5, went to the gym, and after played from about 7 until 8. Both sessions were fairly decent despite the intense heat which was making long strings hard to do.

I don't remember much from the first session, other then ducking clip>ducking clip.

In the second session I did a lot of stepping practice, and finally after many attempts I hit stepping ssclip>stepping opp clip>rpt. I managed to hit it like 2 or 3 times, and a LOT of times with out the rpt part. If I keep working that drill I'll be hitting a lot of consecutive stepping moves in no time. I ended my second session with mirage>smear>dlo>torque>hand catch. When I do torques in strings it's usually the first trick, so it was nice to hit it as the last trick.

And I don't know if this blog is dying, maybe no one else liked the idea?

Well I had a decent session before I decided I couldn't do a rev whirl and slightly sprained my left ankle!

Highlights: (Before sprain)
butter > dlo > butter > rip > infinity > spin clip
dlo > butter > spin clip
legbeater > osis > dlo > butter
legbeater > osis > ss butter > torque
butter > dlo > butter > dlo > butter > torque

For some kool reason my dlo's were on today 8) and I was hitting them like nothing!

Yay for atomics! And DLOs too! I have been waiting for people to post in this again, because I didn't want to have to double post.

Today I went to the park with my friend Brian and we sessioned for an hour and a half. Nothing too much came out of it, except that I know that I still suck at string length. I guess I will try to work on that.

I also played alone later in the day for another hour and a half, working on my butterfly technique (minimizing the hop), my fairy technique, and my atomic technique. I have links to the inspirations for these changes in my own blog, so I won't clutter this with them as well.

I think they all helped, though I'll have to wait and see-- it might just have been a one day occurrence. On the downside, my right patella has been aching somewhat for the last few days on account of an intense session during the week.

Well I'm done for one or two weeks. I think I might've pulled a muscle around my ankle/lower cald area

I did have a session today before I did what ever I did to do this. I was hitting dlo's again pretty easily, also had a good run: atomic ss butter > ss butter > rip > osis > ss butter > torque > infinity > osis > dlo > butter.

It was fun, then right after that I did an infinity run and thats where I did whatever I did to my leg. Ohh well, now I got the time and motivation to finish my recent bag, and watch some great shred footy!
