I can't stand any of that high tech shit. micro-managing your equipment can't do anything but distract you from what's really important. the fancy socks are all stupid anyway - they're soo slippery - i don't understand how anyone can grip the inside of their shoes with those (or with no socks). and moisture-wicking everything else, what the hell? not necessary, especially when you factor in the price, weird looking and soo uncomfortable. what's so wrong with getting sweaty?
imo you should just learn to play in the most basic shit. worry about making yourself better before you look to fancy overpriced equipment. "damn, I can't hit eggbeater - I better go get that $60 jock strap from sports authority."
I usually play in the cheapest running shorts adidas sells, a pair of starter socks i found at CSS, boxers with a button-fly (i figure it's not too outrageous to at least make sure my shit doesn't muffin top) and whatever shirt I happen to be wearing (you must be lazy and never plan ahead if you want to be a *real* footbag player).

the only reason i have half that is cause i played high school football, and they required me to get it, i wouldnt ever actually buy it if i was intending it for footbag, thats just too much to ask for something like that.
but as for the moisture wicking stuff, i dont mind getting sweaty either, its just more of a temporary convenience

I usually play in my Cushioned Runner's socks until they become rock hard and grimy. Then they mold to my feet pretty well.
I don't mind getting sweaty either.
In any case, the titanium stuff really is a bunch of nonsense with a few more days of wearing them. I guess I was just trying to be optomistic on the whole deal, but it doesn't seem to be affecting me too much to make too noticeable remarks. Waste of money.

Personally, I would much rather just be outside in the summer sun with my shorts and shoes sweating my ass off, to the point where my fingers prune up.
But if I have to wear a shirt (demo or playing indoors), performance fabric is a much more practical choice for me than cotton or what have you READ: I SWEAT A-FREAKIN-LOT. It keeps me cooler and more comfortable and doesn't soak up as much sweat. The clothes stay light still breathes well so I can just keep playing.
I first started wearing the fitted Under Armour shirts under my gi when my brother was giving me lessons in Jiu-jitsu... man were those things great! Since then I've been looking for less costly alternatives to wear when I play. Champion is the cheapest I've found so far. I've seen some Under Armour brand clothes on ebay at slightly lower prices than if you bought them at a sports apparel store but they are few and far between.

same goes for me, i sweat a hell of a lot, and having a cotton shirt stick to you isnt a very good feeling, and i think it interferes a lot. i usually wear all my clothes when i start shredding, but when im finished, im usually wearing nothing but shorts and shoes and use my shirt as a sweaty towellZeke wrote:Personally, I would much rather just be outside in the summer sun with my shorts and shoes sweating my ass off, to the point where my fingers prune up.
