Fender or Gibson

If I had the money I would SO buy it from you. I've wanted a Les Paul studio for some time now. I have two friends that have them and they are gorgeous and sound fantastic.

I have a shitty Ibanez. Doesn't rly stay in tune...has a floating bridge that I'm not a huge fan of, but it'll do for now. Might look into buying an acoustic soon.

I think it just depends what kind of music you like and what kind of sound your trying to get. If your looking for a fusion of the twang of a strat and the beef and humbucking sound of the Les paul. i would go with a fat strat. I personally own a Les paul. Its rather heavy but its w/e to me im a big dude. But as far as other gibsons i owned an SG a couple years ago and my neck brock which was wack. But overall through my studies gibsons necks are fatter and maybe a hinderance for for somone with shorter fingers who aspires for faster licks and what not. But on the whole fenders have slimmer necks.

I don't really like the fat strat. I think it gets a thin sound from the humbucker. A Seymour Duncan mini humbucker in the bridge position sounds a lot more natural.

It is thin but its a hell of a lot better then the single coil sound, if your trying to get a beefy sound.

As awesome as that is, I set my instrument up with some great new pickups and it sounds perfect for funk/jazz. Also, I'm wary of buying a guitar I've never played.
