FANTASTIC SESSION with Kim (Danish footbag'er on visit!) at Venice Beach in the blazing sun!!!
Had some nice long runs sweating my ass off!! And had some nice new combos I'm quite happy about such as magellan>pixie legover, stepping op. legover>parkwalk, stepping op legover>pixie s clipper>whirl...
And a lot of other things. I've been struggling with the length of my runs since I've hit so many new tricks lately, because I seem to want to push my runs to a higher level - hence dropping more! - so I was quite happy about some of these harder combos.. and including some magellan bsos midrun, in general millions of dimwalks bsos, sidewalk... oh yeah and parkwalk>schmoe (stepping s pickup)
And of course totally happy about ending the session with hitting datw 3-4 times!!!
SoCali - here I come!!

BEST WEEKEND EVER!!
The SoCali was full of so much fun, that I can't even begin to mention. Great footbag, great people, great vibes, great fun!!!
And my biggest mission of the weekend was even accomplished - in an even better way that I thought possible!! I wanted to convince Chad to get out and play some more in LA. The result was an LA footbag hype bigger than it's been seen in a long time with Chris, Chad and Brian all being up for some regular kicking session!
I'm so psyched about footbag these days!!!

yeah.. I play some I would say... about once a week with the good old oops! crew (pinkus, chad and fornier). And a couple of times a week schooling by myself. Have had some crap sessions lately.. but I guess it has to suck sometimes to make you all happy and excited when things work out.
I've hit a couple of new things lately, but since I have so many new things to work on, I feel I have a lot of things work once and then not again... good old 'one hit wonder'. Some of the things are flip rvs whirl, pdx whirl, flip spin, eggbeater, etc etc. But I still need to work on all of these, cause I really can't do any of them on request yet...
But I feel like my combos are getting slightly harder... though still not particularly longer - guess that's the drag when you try pushing your game with new and harder stuff. Been hitting some nice ripwalk*3 (footing the 4th) and PLO*3 (footing the 4th), some ripwalk>whirls and rvs whirls, magellan>datw...
Just some of the recent new things... though I feel like my post-calijam excitement has worn off a bit, as I spend a lot of time kicking by myself. Happy though that I at least get a session once in a while with the guys.
That's all for now, folks.

About time to write again. Back from the Green Cup with old weary legs!!! I had a wonderful weekend with tons of shred. Always good. Hit some new moves that I was pretty happy about. Had some long strings with double dexes in there, I was happy about too. Hung out with nice cool footbag'ers which I was happy about. So all in all, very nice weekend!!!
Although it was kindda wierd to leave the GC and know that a lot of those great people, I might never see again. But hey... that's life. And most, I'll hopefully run into at random footbag events (like worlds... - very random event!
).
Had fun. Untill next time!!

So it begins, so it ends!!!! Tomorrow, I'll be on a plane back to Denmark. So I figured, I need to post a final LA post!!! Just had my last Ooops! session with Bryan and Chad at Venice yesterday and had them over for dinner afterwards. A nice way to end some good times.
I won't even begin to write up what new combos, tricks, etc. I've been hitting lately, cause that's not the point here today.
The point here is to say thank you to all of you nice Americans, who I've met during the past 8 months. If you have even bothered to visit my blog, you're probably one of them. Thanks for everything. Thanks for letting me crash in your house, thanks for sharing hotelrooms, thanks for hanging out, thanks for the laughter, thanks for the fun, thanks for the drinks, thanks for the games of set, thanks for teaching me tons of footbag, thanks for showing me your countrys hospitality, thanks for everything... and above all - thanks for the fabulous shred!!!
This goes out to all of you. I guess special shout outs would have to be to Emily for everything!!!!, to the great Ooops guys down here for kicking with me and teaching me shit loads of stuff and just for being good guys in general, to Dustin for being an awsome kickbuddy!, to Scott Behmer for being such a goofball.
I'm sorry if I've missed someone who feels they ought to get a special shout out... in that case, let me know and I'll make sure to make an extra post!!
All you Cali-shredders (and a couple of vegas, eugene and seattle) rock!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE ANNE

Aww Anne.
I'm sad that your nice long trip is coming to an end. It was SO nice meeting you and being able to hang out as much as we did. I felt an almost instant click with you, but I bet you're the type of person everyone feels that way about. Thanks for visiting me and giving me an excuse to go to the Saturn a few times.
I hope to see you again soon and meet your homies back in Denmark.
Love,
Emily
Oh yeah, and I'm glad Jeremy and I had the chance to educate you about the people from which you descended:

Anne's worlds blog
So far at worlds in Prague, I can only say that I'm loving it!!! I've had some wonderfull days so far with lots of watching crazy shred, kicking a bit myself, talking to people and just enjoying myself.
My routine was the best I've ever done. There were maybe just a bit too many toestalls (like 500!!) and atw and other tricks repeated (still haven't watched the tape and I don't really remember so much of it!). But on the other hand, I've never felt so comfortable on a stage, I've never felt so much at ease with my moves and I've never dropped so little. So I was very happy with the whole experience.
And today with the shred 30, I as well am totally satisfied with my game. I think I did some pretty well shredding at my level and again I enjoyed every second of it.
So all in all, my first worlds so far is just so damn nice!!!!

YAY, I'm so glad you're having so much fun with your game. It feels so rare to hear someone say that they are happy with their level of play (not saying that you're not going to keep improving).
I miss you!
Post some pictures! Lots of pictures.

Well.. what can I say....
Worlds was the best footbag experience I've had!! Well.. maybe that's not true, since all my footbag experiences have been good... especially my time in California. But as an event, it was the best. I had a wonderful time, and my game was definitely good on stage. I felt comfortable and good on stage both times I was on. I placed better than my seating, which was my only goal... well that and feeling good on stage.. so both goals were reached.
And besides that it was just good time and fun.. great meating people I've only heard about or met online... and just fun and games with the whole Danish crew.
Now back in Denmark, I'm more motivated than i've been in a long time!! Every time I play, I feel I improve!! Recomended by Kim 'the Duke' from Denmark, I've started working even more on becoming better at butterflies and osis... which I feel have improved my game even more. It seems my ripwalks are improving with this... the past 5 sessions I've hit them b2b, almost with ease.. which is great... apart from that, my toe game is getting pretty solid with pixie tricks on both sides.
So all in all... footbag is GREAT these days.
So good to play with my sister again, and all the other great danes, even though I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the Cali-crew and all the great friends I've met there through footbag!!
I'm lovin' it!!
