If you like Sci Fi, Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson is EXCELLENT.
The amazing adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon is a great adventure story about a comic book started by two cousins during the halocaust (both jewish). I can't do either of these justice with a synapsis, so read!
