No that's cool. I enjoy reading about the history of the sport, even things like how people used to mod shoes. Appreciated.

I have a more relevant question too. In the photos I saw the shoes were laced in the Kenny Shults style, yet there is apparently no toe box. Is it therefore necessary to lace in that manner or would it be more practical to lace in the normal manner? I hate the Kenny Shults lacing style because it makes the shoes feel too lose on my feet, and I always cut the toe walls off and lace normally. Could I do that with these shoes?

Also how much do they weight?
Hi Jeremy,

Lacing is to individual player preference. We added 2 separate sections on the tongue for laces to thread thru for added security. A 10 1/2 shoe w/ insole and laces weigh 13.2oz.

Erik,

I think it's also worth mentioning that the picture of the shoe on the front page has a black background, and the black part of the sole (the very bottom) blends in with the background, giving the impression of a thinner sole than the thing has.

These look fantastic, do you have pictures of them in black?

Quick question,

At what angle does the clipper edge of the shoe meet the ground, where 90 degrees would represent a completely flat edge. If so is it flat and then tapered off or not?

Looks good, specifically the toe. I'm sure they look even better in black and the heel looks cool with the writing. Really smooth, I could picture myself possibly picking up a pair if the debut reaction is a good one.

This is what I sort of intended in my previous post concerning the clipper. If you can, on a contrasting surface, provide a photo of the clipper surface on a 90 degree angle (in which the camera shot has a marginal view of both the inside surface and the adjacent black sole in the picture), that would be well appreciated. I would like to assess the "flatness" of the clipper surface in better detail.

I'm unable to take additional pictures at this moment since all shoes have been sent to Abshire and other players for product testing. However, I gave him a call regarding your question and he stated that this is the same curvature and flatness that both the Quantums and Lavers have. He has been doing clippers without any problems both sides. Feel free to email him directly to verify this anytime.

Cheers. For non-Americans that's 374 grams. :)

Price Change

Post by simplyqueen1 »

The temporary website has now been updated to reflect a different SKU number per color and shoe size. Prices lowered this month which now has sales tax included. Due to overwhelming amount of international orders, shipping calculations will be based on individual shipment location.

Additional comments received from everyone will be considered and included in the Professional Website currently under construction.

Even though the picture has been electronically edited to look like black in the "order us" page, I'm having high expectations for this shoe in the black variant. It has a very retro feel to it.

Hello everyone,

I've been quite busy these days with this project but as promised, here is the clipper view, super sized. The mesh area is also very pliable for a targeted "sweet spot" area.

Please also note that I took this picture with my camera phone, cut out the cream/khaki furniture background and replaced it with a contrasting light blue so you can see the details of the shoe better.

Question;

Is the "super sweet spot" thicker than the rest of the shoe? I always cut out the inside canvas on my shoes specifically so I can feel the bagger better on my foot (and so that it's marginally lighter). How thick is the total material at the clipper spot and would I easily be able to feel a footbag stalled there?

as for mods... will there be any mods needed for this shoe at all? and is there any leather components on this shoe? also, is there a layer of canvas under the mesh part of the toe and clipper surface?

Hello Jordan,

We believe that the shoe can be played straight out of the box and this has been tested by Abshire to hold true. You shouldn't need to make any mods but with everyone's different skill level and preference, this should be very minimal, if any. There is absolutely no canvas underneath any of the stall spots- both with toe/clipper area. There are no leather components on this shoe; double canvas material was used to reinforce prime areas prone to wear and tear.

Hope this helps,
Queency

Hello Jeremy,

The first prototype taken to the Las Vegas Jam for testing had the canvas underneath and based on players' feedback, was removed for the final product offered to you today. Now mesh material, without the canvas, on both the toe and clipper area is very thin and a player should be able detect where the ball is on any part of this mesh.

If I press a finger directly against this material from inside the shoe, I can see its outline and flesh color. I felt the mesh on all three shoes and this mesh feels thicker than Quantums yet slightly thinner than the mesh on the Lavers in order to maximize an athlete's ability to sense, control and direct the footbag. The texture on this particular mesh has an interwoven basket weave towards both right and left diagonal direction or "x" pattern as well as a super thin chain-link design pattern above this layer to protect it from tearing easily. We attempted to offer the thinnest mesh without compromising its durability.

Thank you for your question,
Queency

thanx a lot for answering those questions. I was just wondering, cuz I hate modding shoes and I would love a pair of shoes that can be great right out of the box. As for the leather question... Im going vegan soon, and I need another shoe to replace my G-Units, unless the leather on the units are fake. Im not completely sure.

Hello everyone,

Here is the image from inside the shoe-clipper area where it shows the canvas section cut out for easier stalling. Please note my middle and ring finger showing through other side of mesh. My thumb points to section of canvas where to the left starts "mesh only" section.

Image

Here is another close up of the clipper mesh section where you can see the chain link design above basket weave "x"pattern below.
