The most memorable part from Ken's workshop was:
"Don't think about the dex, think about the stall at the end." Which also doubled as, "All of these tricks share the same basic principle of hop off of one foot onto the other." (Like the electric current simile I hear a bunch for torque, where you can't have both feet touching the ground a the same time, or you get shocked!)
The most memorable part from Dave's workshop was:
"Let the dexing leg in the set do the work -- don't set with the setting foot (rely on the momentum from the dex(es))" (Specifically for, like, furious and atomic.. like, op leg sets.) And also reiteration of the Vasek Manual that tells you to drill, drill, drill the basics and to get better at a trick to do it 100 times; dedicate a whole session to a trick or component.
Oh, Dave also said to make sure to always set straight up, and to move your body around the bag (so, for drifter, twist your body 45-90 degrees instead of setting the bag to your other side).
That's what I took from their lessons.
Dave also said, for pdx whirling swirl, to start the swirl before the whirl dex has completed, or simultaneously to the whirl dex. (And he forced motor(? (swirling gyro inside stall)) on us.)
There was a guy that I talked to briefly who was filming these, I'm pretty sure. Eric Chang did a bit too, I think.

As I mentioned in my blog, I wasn't all that proud of how my workshop went, since I didn't have time to prepare for it as much as I wanted, and it came at the end of the most exhausting day of the year for me (routine and circle semis and request, spread out through the day).
That said, here are some notes I threw together before Worlds, which I intended to use to structure my workshop:
1. Target audience: this is for intermediate players. If you haven't mastered tiltless, and your BOP isn't solid, I don't recommend you start working on drifter/dlo/torque. That said, if you want to mentally file away this workshop in your head for later use, that's fine.
2. Scope: the reason I'm teaching these three tricks, is because at root they are related. So while I'm teaching the trick itself, really I'm teaching a concept.
3. On a related note, I can touch on some harder tricks which are built off of these concepts, but that's not the main thing I'm going for.
4. I recommend learning these from clipper first, because it makes the foot switching easier to grasp.
5. Electric current in floor: only one foot touching the ground at any given time.
6. Don't think about the mirage dex. It should happen automatically with the foot switch. Thinking about it will just mess you up.
7. Symple legover/clipper as practice.
8. You can add elements before these DT tricks, but the basic idea is the same, ie jump off the support foot early and quickly.

"Good players play with the bag. They make the bag work for them and they play around with it. Moving it around at will. And for others the bag plays them and they have to chase it down...."
~Vasek
This was the advice I got from Worlds talking to Vasek one on one about what it takes to get good at freestyle.
Personally I have always done a little of both. I try to set it straight up, but I suck.... so I end up chasing it down.
