I don`t really understand a point of all discussion about nick name of Andrey.
100000 times already have been sad before, that this nickname have nothing common with war. And you started it again and again.
Don`t you think, that Russian nation forget with easy about world war??
Don`t you think that that Russians lost not enough people?

Should we start to discuss every nick name on modified and youtube to decide what kind of names are approved, because i personally don`t like couple of them, and i have bad feelings about that.

IMO, this is personal and private choice of everyone.

I know a bit about history WWII and about our Great Patriotic War against fascism. In the modern world (70 years later) exist a lot of much more hard and repelling nicknames. This one was his choise.

Junior: don't take this preasure. Just do what you do.

Because of his nikname now when somebody tells "gestapo" i remember in the first this guy, his shred and our party when we both were drunk A LOT =D.

Just to be clear, so perhaps you can better understand the offence, the Gestapo weren't soldiers, they were secret police. Their job, from 1933, until the end of world war 2, was to round up Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, and opponents of genocide, and have them arrested (and the case of 9 million people, murdered). Equating them merely with World War 2 completely misses the reason why people would find linking yourself to the Gestapo so offensive. As you can probably calculate, they actually spent as long operating in "peace times" as operating during World War 2.
[edit]I also note that World War 2 wasn't fought because of, or against Nazi atrocities. The war was fought against Nazi (and Japanese) expansionism. The war started because Germany invaded Poland. The USSR was tentatively allied with Nazis and stayed out of the war until the Nazis invaded the USSR. The US entered the war when they were attacked by Japan.[/edit]

I'm not sure that you understand the scope of torture, murder and discrimination that was carried out during the Nazi regime in central Europe. When you say that there are other nicknames that you dislike, what are those, and is your concern similar to a direct link with the murder of 9 million people? I find the suggestion that there are worse nicknames fairly appalling. If that's the case, it obviously doesn't justify this one.

Nicknames are a personal choice, but they're certainly not private. They are, in fact, one of the most public things about people on the internet. People might be free to choose their nickname, but they're also free to criticise, and you can be sure that if I see you expressing apparent support or trivialising an organisation dedicated to the eradication of a number of races, homosexuals, and people who criticise the government or help those people, then I, and many other people, will exercise our free expression to condemn you.

I'm glad Junior has accepted the issue and removed the account, and I applaud him for that. You two, on the other hand, clearly need to gain a deeper understanding of the issue, and perhaps some empathy as well.
