pixie is easiest for me.
dude thats the same thing that happens to me. i just put ice on my shins after i do stepping stuff, it helps alot, but you have to be consistant with it. if you put ice on them, it keeps them from swelling, and they wont hurt half as much. i put iceon them, and in a few days there like normal, but after i do stepping stuff the next few days, then they hurt again. anyway. i hope that helps
it hurts my shins cause of the "pushing up" that comes with the stepping set. i cant school them either.
my strongest set is atomic set. pixie is getting stronger.
My shins hurt a lot after stepping sets too. They also hurt after symp. anything. I think some sets are naturally harder, i.e. shooting or quantum, simply because of the mechanics of the set. Pixie, atomic, and stepping are all about the same for me. I don't hit any of the consistently yet.
I find Stepping and atomic are easier mid-string and pixie and fairy are easier at the start of a string. I think if the dexing leg is also the setting leg then it makes it harder mid-string.
Yes, Scott D can do them really easily. What I think he means is that you do the pendulum and leave the bag behind you and then you spin into it (if that makes sense).
I can hit crossbody pendulum set pickup. Y'all know what a x-bod pendulum is, I'm sure... it's pretty easy to make a set with it when you can keep it close enough to your body (which requires massive flexibility.)
i like to kick the little footbag thing around and move my legs around it and stuff
that's really weird... i had been doing pendelum sets for about a month. sometimes i'm able to do a FULL pendy and do like a dragonfly off of it.. sometimes i do half and spin and do things... it's really interesting.

thanx jonathan!
i go tell this my friend today...
also, i think if you do a full pendulum and
than do a dragonfly off of it, it would be
two moves(not a set)...

as we all know, a move starts with the release of the bag and ends with a contact. So how can pendulum be a set, for the pendulum ends with the release of the bag and thus begins a new move? Call this a narrow-minded conception of sets, but it totally makes sense to me.
actually brian i've seen this and it is pendulum>mirage not a pendulum set. as far as im concerned you cannot do it as a set, only as one move into another move.
this is the 44 Wand, the most powerful Handwand in the world, so did i fire 5 or 6 fireballs? now you got to ask yourself one question pal, do i feel lucky? well do ya punk.
some other moves that fall into this sort of problem would be
hopover, walkover, wrap, infraction, refraction, drag... that's all I can think of right now.
