What's wrong with spray paint Matt? Would the spray paint damage the material or something? Maybe I'll just get the lavers on their own and buy the video seperately.

Congradulations on your winning bid, wolfpac. I had attempted to make a bid on the black ones, but the auction ended while I was creating my account.

Sad, huh?

I thought about trying to steal the red ones from you, but figured that it wouldn't be very kind of me, especially since I wouldn't have known that they existed without your pointing them out.

krafty,

paint would stiffen the material and come off on your bags and where you walk.

these, and all the other super weird ones, are dealer samples for salespeople to wear. or sometimes some lavers will pop up that were designed by someone else, but they're still lavers, like the oki-ni fish skin ones that popped up a few months back.

Now I'm wondering if adidas does this with all their shoes...

If you guys are reeeaaaalllyyyyy interested in getting these ugly shoes in your sizes there is an option to "ask seller a question". You can send them a message and see if they have them in your size and what they would sell them to you for. My wife does it all the time on e-bay.

Well, the red ones that I ordered came in the other day so I thought I'd give a quick initial review. Construction-wise, they are pretty much identical to regular Lavers. The insole does not come glued in so it is trivial to switch insoles.

Now, on to the more interesting part: the outside material is actually woven cloth. You can see all of the individual threads. The woven cloth goes all the way up the tongue. The inside canvas is the same one that is on the mesh lavers. The woven cloth looks to be about the same thickness as the mesh. I'm not sure how well the cloth is glued on to the canvas.

The regular toe box mod is perfectly doable. I don't know how well the insides can be taken out.

More to come if I decide to mod these things.

i like those weird laver classics, but the material looks kinda bunk for freestyle. kinda suede-y, slippery. The brown ones are cool.

Honestly they don't even look REAL to me. Something about them seems like they're fake.
