Misspelled words . . .

Yeah, furthermore, there was no actual research done at any supposed English university, it was just some cool shit that was discovered.

I'm not a big fan of lol. If anything, I'll write it out as if it's being pronounced, "Lolle!" I'll actually say it, as in, pronounce it like that if something funny happens, but not quite to the point where I laugh out loud. Ironic, yeah, but it's also appropriate because...

According to a research at an English University, only 18% of those who type out "lol" truly laugh out loud. This study shows that many of those who type out "lol" are fucking liars.

Anyway, if I ever typo something, it's most likely intentional. I'm a total bigass nerd, you see. My friend Christian and I will actually mis-SPEAK words, as if they have been typoed. It's this personality quirk we've got.

Ex:

Instead of "House", we'll say, "Hosue". Hoe-Sue.
Instead of "Coke", we'll say "Coek". Coe-Eck.

It's weird, yeah, but....it's fun?

That made me laugh out loud!

I do think it's much easier to read posts that contain correct spelling. I'm fairly liberal with my spelling

but try to correct mistakes when I see them. I guess the way you write goes a long way in showing how educated and intelligent you are and while it's probably a little unfair to judge somebodies intelligence based on the literacy levels shown on a forum, I'd like people to have the best impression of me.

*note: I spell checked this post and found I'd spelt "literacy" incorrectly

And another good reason to use correct spelling is the fact that there is alot of foreign people reading the boards and it can be hard to decipher the appreviations. Especially if you don't even know english very well.

I myself got used to the appreviations while playing Ultima Online on a free american server.

i normally type in the lazy fashion that you all seem to hate. I have a good command of the English language in speach and writing i believe, but online i tend to get lazy and use abbreviations and superfluous '...'

ill try to clean up my act. I didn't know people were so hung up on this issue. I don't want people thinking I'm less intelligent because of the way i type.

Does this mean that people are going to start policing grammar and sentence structure, and getting up people's arses when they make a mistake?

Oh and it's spelt 'Arse' down under (pun?)

that was just awful!

any way, i usually type full sentences with out any of the techno slang, but i am very guilty of not proof reading, which makes a big difference. as to the "..." i use them when i'm typing some thing comical, both because that's how i speak and gives it comedic timing. well... at least it does in my head.
