There are so many useable shoes, I find that tread is often the hardest thing to find in a shoe. Everything else can be fixed with a razor blade, a little fabric and some glue.

nic -- lon has been playing for 12 years... i dont even think they had lavers then, but i dont really know.

i liked the 520s. when i got them, i seemed to get better and feel better playing. recently, though, my shoes got stolen and i have had to switch back to my lavers. after a few minutes of getting adjusted, i found myself to have one of the best days in a while. i think that it may just be the change (in either direction) that was a catalyst for growth and improvement... you know, changing it up a bit. anyway, i am only using my lavers until my g-units arrive. ellis wears them and he is one of my favorite kickers. i am hoping that, for better or worse, it'll just make things different for a bit

Yes. I'm slowly finding that they seem too bulky, for me anyway. I'll see when I start playing again, I might switch back to Lavers.

Rod Laver was a tennis star from the 70s, and the shoes came out at the height of his popularity (in the seventies) along with the adidas Stan Smith.
