Doesn't .org have people that look after it. Also isn't .org in the proccess of getting a facelift of some sort?
I think what Shawn is getting at with the website, is that he would like to have a website that is dedicated to the street teams. Like with information about all the different street teams that exist in different cities and countries with information about where these teams kick on regular basis, or contact info for the street teams. Say someone is organizing some kind of non-footbag event. They might have heard about the footbag street team, and they want them to do a demo at the event.
It would be much easier to go to one website with updated information, then too look through .org for clubs and contact info, which might end up being old.
The street team website can supply links to the forum and all of the info from .org
Well whatever internet forum thats used i still think the overall idea of a large scale group of people promoting footbag is the main point of my "shred the word" idea.
My first goal for shred the word would be to invade xgames.
We should Raid xgames with as many freestylers as possible. We will turn it into our own annual event kind of like worlds or CSS but not for competion.
This is the kind of shit i want shred the word to be. Screw integrety and pride we need to become relentless whores of footbag. Think of that annoying guy whos handing flyers out at the end of concerts to help his freinds band get heard Thats what its about. Fuck the bullshit lets cram Footbag straight up everyones ass.
maybe im being a little extreme but lets face it maybe thats what it will take. All of you people who have been playing Footbag hard and non stop for so many years and everyone looks at you and only sees a hacky sacker. Fuck that i see talented passionate athletes going unoticed and ignored.
I think we have alot more opportunity here than we know.

And a small forum would probably be helpful for demo-oriented topics and organization. By the way, I'll be living in St. Louis next year so I would love to be a part of this!

That sounds like an awesome idea. Summer Xgames 2005 is taking place in California, so there's definate potential for anyone out there that could mobilize. It'd be like attending a footbag event, but with the added benefit of seeing skateboarding and stuff like that. Now I'm hoping Summer '06 is in the Midwest (year right).
