Also most younger kids have the great mentality that they can do anything they put their minds to. So when they look at footbag they don't say, "Oh I could never do that" and walk away like older people do, rather they say, "Look how cool that is, I've gotta try it".

I´m 30. I began playing when I was 20. I think that in the past, people had to find out about footbag the hard way. They had to stumble upon other good players. This might simply take more time. I played in high school, but didn´t meet any freestylers till college. Goldberg and others put lots of footbag content on line, and now people that kick a hackysack around can do an internet search, find all this video, and thus find out about real freestyle footbag sooner. I might have found footbag at age 16 if I could have done an internet search for it then, but it simply wasn´t available yet.

As long as you have time and dedication, its never too late to shred,
although, it is easier to learn when your young, since you naturally
have more freetime, less responsibillities and definitly less crap
on your hard drive !

But on the other hand or foot, if you will , FUCK age, now i've said it ,
for i'm one of the Dunedain, blessed with long life, which means i started
to freestyle at 27 and i am now 28 and yes i am proud of myself

for finding time to play and progrssing ok, that is !

If you into masochism though, go to Poland and watch kids doing
surging and radiative sets around 3 am, just watch em play and feel
sorry for your self ! Some of them will write freestyle history 4 sho'
in a few years.

Watch out for Michal from Wroclaw, he's 12 and hits ripwalk>step osis
in a routine !

It's true, I was there... in the past, that is

I pretty much lived everything I quoted from Jonathan. I'm 29 and I've been playing some form of footbag for more than half my life.
