hey man props on all those moves, so many of them both sides too, damn. Good meeting you at worlds. Glad to see you continue to push your game. I'm sort on the DL right now, my shin splints are BAD, haven't really been able to play much since worlds.

I have a trick you should try:
 Spinning Osis BS

Hope you are still drilling those tiltless links :o BTW that post where the guy thought you lived in the country of Holland was hilarious.

EDIT: sorry I stole the first page

I have no Idea what that means but dang is that funny!

thanks ben, and that mean Iron clad, and to you ben, rea, ok, will do!

and about that spinning osis...

spinning sucks, it makes me mad, so I tend not to try it, I hit spinning clip with perfection under the coaching of lee van sickle, but dude, it sucks otherwise. should I break it down into segments and perfect the various elements of the spin? or what?

Another session should produce more new tricks
Yes it should, or at least improve on strings or consistency

Now, what I am attempting to do here is have fun with seriousness
Otherwise seriousness can have negative emotions eat your insides out

The fact of the matter has already been stated.
Offer your attention to truth, it always stays the same.

Day after day facts are changed, but truth remains the same
Require of yourself discipline to wisdom and understanding
Unslave your mind from the lies produced against humanity
Get free from the bondage of falsehood
Save yourself from this untoward generation
Say, has Anyone figured out this mystery?
No, I do not think they have
To say they did would be silly
Drugs would be also.

KEVIN CROWLEY!??!?!?!

ok, all you that read my blog and dont know who kevin crowley is, this man is the personification of all things osis. now, don't let that throw you off though, he not only is an absolute master at osis, but he is an amazing shredder too. well respected by me. oh and he is a teriffic teacher of shred too.

and to Kevin:

the word there is "untoward"

I was quoting a passage from the bible in the book of acts chapter 2.

Act 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

the english word "untoward" from the greek word "skolios" where we get the medical term "scoliosis" (osis, LOL) meaning "warped, winding or perverse"

so in other words a perverse generation. :)

When spinning be sure to turn your planted foot a lot towards the direction you're spinning. I just re-rememberd this today and I hit gyro legover!

a new short practice video

notes after watching:

my osis's midstring in these clips are all wrong! my osis's rock so bad now, but not these, its like, midstring I revert back to my old junky ones. I guess I should just school the right way and it will become natural.

another note. I am now 247 LBS, that is officially 21 lbs less than when I started getting in shape. I walked by a mirror in a restaurant and I noticed,"HEY, my gut aint sticking out like it used to!"

this will most likely be my practice grounds for winter, not alot of room for strings, but it works for the winter. plus its a 24 hour facility, rock on.

dont forget to watch my new video up there ^^^

but tonight I taught some kid(s) how to do toe stall and showed them some stuff. gave em a footbag. he did toe stall first try after I showed him how to move his knee for the stall, and once I told him it was a footbag, he never said hack or sack or sacky or hacky or sacky hack or hacky sacky, if you can hack it. he was about, uh, seven maybe. maybe eight, maybe. so, yeah, and I hit stepping ss clip bs. and burn out. that is:

Toe delay>360>head stall>toe delay

that was according to one of these dudes, nick and brad. yeah. ok, props to nick for pulling the toe stall and props to brad for inventing burnout

Cool video, Paul. Those are some neat tricks. I liked the fairy same mirage, and your reaction to it, like, "Oh yeah."

How are your basics coming? You said you were close to that challenge drill I gave you. I think you told me that that one time you sat down and we talked for like 30 seconds or something. Did you hit the drills yet? Big tricks are fun, but long runs of manageable tricks is also very fun (and more conducive to progression...)

I hope to shred with you some time (I don't think I even saw you play at Worlds, although I was busy playing myself 70% of the time).

I still practice the strings you gave me everyday. some of the guys at worlds I kicked with can testify to that. I showed the drill to some of them guys and now they are trying it too.

I havent hit ANY of the strings yet, let alone the whole thing combined. but I will. I'm thinking I lack control with my sets. My strings eventually get out of control and I'm all over the place. Perhaps I must learn to stall the bag just a nano second longer before the next set? I'll video some and post them for some tips.

peace.

by the way, I did do an ACTUAL barrage SET, and not the trick. i was trying it like 20 or so times. it was dex'd clean but it only set about maybe knee high, and it suprised me so much that it was clean and it was set straight up that I just watched the bag fall straight to the floor. I was stoked. and I also did toe spinning toe. lol

I liked the whirling rake and paradon>blender! Props

But id advise you not to hurry and drill the tiltless stuff and keep everything maximally both sided.

So another challenge would be 30 tiltless.

It is quite simple if you want to do long strings with hard tricks you have to be able to do long strings with basic tricks!
