Excited about two recent acquisitions: yesterday I picked up a strange scattergun and a strange sticky launcher, both with robots killed parts. I like MVM, but other than my minigun I didn't have any weps that tracked robot kills. My current sticky launcher also already had all 3 strange slots taken, so I liked the idea of getting stranges that I dedicate only to using in MVM. I was able to get these two for about 11 refined, which meant I didn't have to part with any keys to get them (and robots killed part is like 1.2 keys these days). The scattergun also has soldiers and defenders killed parts on it too, so I can use it in non MVM play as well. I added giants and tanks killed to the sticky, so now it's totally decked out with MVM counters, and only MVM counters. Anyway, now I feel like I'll be more inclined to play classes other than Heavy in MVM, which I'm excited about. :)

Ever since my footbag tournament season ended, I've been playing a ton of TF2, mostly maining Heavy. Two notable Heavy updates for me:

1. I pushed my minigun to Hale's Own! It's my first strange weapon to reach this level. It's current stats are: 8574 kills, 4900 robots destroyed, 782 dominations, and 192 kills while ubercharged.

2. I upgraded my unusual Ushanka. I spent around 17 keys to upgrade from smoking to haunted ghosts. Before the upgrade, I think my Ushanka was my second worst unusual. Now I'd say it's top 2.

I also did an insane trade yesterday. People are going crazy for the chemistry sets, so they are desperate to get normal weps to complete them. So yesterday I did the following trade:

I gave him:

 3 nataschas
 1 scottish handshake
 1 original

I got from him:

 Lumbricus lid (1 key)
 3 rune blade (2 ref)
 Breakneck baggies (2 ref)
 Track Terrorizer (3 ref)

Already got a buyer for the lid for a key. I'll likely keep the breakneck baggies and sell the rest, but yeah, it's crazy the trades you can do when people go nuts over new items.

wtf ??????? i completed my chemistry set but i don't think i over paid anythings. i paid one scrap for all weapons i trade for, i looked at the set to get a cheap "big strange" (i had to get a silver botkiller minigun), some sets need things like strange festive huntsman (wtf??) and since i restarted playing mvm up, i paid for the chemistry set and the botkiller i needed with the money i got from the botkillers i sold on the market.

so now, i have a strange toss-proof towel for heavy. Which means i'll have to play heavy from now on. i also traded for a Team Captain :D

i have an awesome heavy load out now:
diamong botkiller minigun (3 keys)
sandvich (bleh) (nothing)
strange pan (6 keys)

team captain (1 key)
strange toss-proff towel (2 - 2.5 keys)
graybanns (bright green) (2 keys)

I'm surprised by the trades you made but i'm happy for you :)

and nice upgrades ;)

Yeah, I saw some idiot trying to sell a strange FDU and asking for a bud, since he used his strange gunslinger to make it. What an idiot...he basically lost 20 keys by doing that.

That IS a very boss loadout for Heavy.

In Heavy news for me, I also acquired a strange toss proof towel! Stoked about this, since I main heavy. Here's how I got mine:

1. Bought an all-father chem kit for 1 refined
2. Had most of the normal weps for it, but acquired the remaining ones by doing 1:1 trades, so this part basically cost me nothing
3. Had to buy a strange liberty launcher, but this only cost me 1.33 refined
4. Made an all father strangifier
5. Couldn't find a cheap all father, and I'm not a huge fan of the way it looks so...
6. I traded my all father strangifier (just the bottle, no misc) for a strange toss proof towel, plus a craft hat and underwater kills part.

So to recap, I paid 2.33 refined to get a strange towel, plus a hat, plus a strange part.

8)

Now to level this sucker up...

EDIT: I just set a new kill record as Heavy! My old record was like 29 or 30, and just now I had a run of 70 on 2fort, which ended when my team won. I started off the next game with a 15 streak, fwiw.

Props on getting a strange FDU! I know you main solly, and IMO that's one of the best new strange miscs out there (along with veil and shades).

Yesterday I made my second strangifier. This time it's for the birdman of aberdeen, and this time it cost me 4 ref to acquire/make. Now I either need to get a bird, or preferably trade it to somebody for a veil strangifier or keys/metal.

In other news, I recently sold my earbuds for 21 keys, plus 1 key worth of sweets. I sold the sweets for a key, then bought new earbuds for 19 keys. My new earbuds are also level 99! So I basically upgraded my buds to a cooler level, and got 3 keys in the process.

Thoughts on the Halloween update? Here are mine:

 I really like the new Halloween Helltower map. Hightower has always been a top 5 map for me, so this isn't a big surprise. The spells add a new wrinkle for sure. My favorite is using the teleportation spell to put the sniper on top of the shack, and snipe from there. Takes everybody by surprise
 The new halloween unusual effects are uniformly good. Like them a lot better than last year's Halloween effects for the most part.
 Don't like that all the Halloween cosmetics are untradable. Uncraftable I get, but untradable?

I used up 4 keys during this update. I had 4 #42 crates, which is one of the best returns you can get on a crate. I figured I wanted to open them anyway, and if I had a chance at a Halloween unusual that made now the best time to open them. Here's what I got:

 Strange backscratcher (worst case scenario item)
 Strange backscratcher (worst case scenario item)
 Strange part projectiles reflected (break even item)
 Strange pistol (best non-strange part item)

At least I tried.

Re: Team Fortress 2

My strange collection has been pretty complete for a while now, with one notable exception. A couple days ago, I finally bought that last remaining item: a strange huntsman. I suck with the huntsman, but have been intrigued by it. But I was bad enough with it that I didn't want to pay a ton for it, then not use it. Also, I only wanted one if it had headshots (and ideally dominations) on it, which normally jack up the price. A standard strange huntsman without these parts goes for 8 keys, so i was very happy to have spent 6 keys and 12 refined to get my huntsman, which already has dominations, headshots, and demomen killed parts on it. Score! Only had it a few days, but here's where it's at:

 119 kills
 40 headshots
 5 dominations
 6 demomen killed

I'm still relying mostly on luck, but I'm getting a bit better at anticipating how to lead targets with it. Also leveling up my Jarate quickly, since I find that helps soften up my targets.

Trading wise my new goal is to sell/trade some of my current unusuals to try and get an all-class with a decent effect. I like my Heavy unusual combo enough that I won't trade that, but I wouldn't mind having all my other classes covered by a single unusual I like.

Whoa. In the video it was just constructed...was that the setup when you did it? I'd imagine it's hard to approach an L3 sentry otherwise. Unless you used bonk to get close, then started meleeing the second it wore off. In any case, props!

i'm so pissed right now !!!! trying get through ONE SINGLE WAVE in the new update ... all the fucking noobs who doesn'tplay mvm at all just don't want to listen. they don't know how to upgrade their class AT ALL. i seriously thinkthat we didn't need a medic in mvm and we still don't need any. But since the fucking update, there is always at least one useless medic /?&4¦¢¦]@¢¦ !!!!!!! when you can't get throught the first wave, it's just useless to keep trying. i can't wait to play with my mvm friends. i even heard " we don't need a scout" proof that this person is just here for the update and will stop playing it in 1 week because he's not going to win anything. i asked an engy to get dispenser range and he quit, i said: "no dispenser range = no dispenser", he was already mad and quit. So much frustration !!!! i've been playing it for like 4 hours and i only completed one mission instead of 4.

i think i'm just gonna wait a bit before to play it agai so all the noobs will be gone.

Yeah, few things are worse than MVM with people who don't do teamwork. I've been pretty lucky playing the new maps, in that I've usually had pretty solid team members (mics, cooperate, adjust).

I ain't going to lie though; part of me is just doing the missions to get the new achievements. I don't even care about loot, I just like getting achievements (I think I'm at 404 completed now). Which probably means I'll be one of those newb medics on your team sometime!

Only other news on my end is I'm close to making a foppish physician strangifier. When I do, I'll have strange miscs I like for Heavy (towel), Soldier (FDU), Sniper (veil), Spy (beard), and Medic (fop).

on anothet note, i create a strange professor specs :D a cool all class misc !! the points on it raise very fast since it's all class. with that, both of my 2 calsses have 2 strange miscs :D

i finally finished my first tour, i got a professional fabricator for chargin' targe which i put on the market for 10$, a specialized kit for atomizer and as my tour loot, i got the half zatoichi kit. i also got a cool soldier hat as a random loot, "the cloud crascher" lvl99. so now i have 29 miscs/hats for soldier if i don't count the all classes items :D (halloween counted)
