I think nate might be able to bust a symp dlo after that shoulder duck. That trick should be called casanova.Maraxus wrote:Casey called Nate's midrun clipper > around the ss shoulder > clipper a "casanova" because it was so smooooooth....

worked on some quantum and atomic sets today. I rarely throw that in comparison to stepping/pixie. I also did some more whirl work. Had several nice long runs with some fives. My osis felt really on today. I had one run that in the middle the bag got away and I snagged and stalled it for a while then flowed back into the run. Usually my bail to osis isn't good enough for a super wild set. I felt very lon-esk if only for a minute.
Also tried downtime sidewalks for a while. I actually hit one, but aaron said it was a bit mid time. I must have jumped over it a hair too soon. It seems like a really doable move. I tried it a bit from op toe/op clip. Much harder because you have a few more hip movements to execute before the actual first dex. It really works those hips. I think I would like to spend a bit more time with it and see if it gets easier. I really like nicks moves with it on the idaho vid.

Eoghan = The Transformer haha. He has such flat osis. I wish I could have shredded harder but I was still so sick, hopefully that goes away soon. I feel at least a bit better than I did yesterday so it looks like I'm finally beating the virus. Man I can't believe how much new stuff everyone hit! It was really fun to watch. Cale is really awesome and can hit whirls and smears and also hit butterfly swirl!!! He also hit dlo and stepping far legover and some pretty long runs. The Transformer hit lots of torques, long ass runs and toe ducking butterfly several times. Both of them have hopovers which is really cool since I don't see those too often. The Transformer also hit like 10+ osis several times. His osis are like what? He also stepped out of his osis several times.
Casey hit merkon for the first time, I also saw him hit pixie clipper>rev whirl. Eddie hit ducking clipper from clip set and also hit 16 infinities, shattering his previous record of 7. Alex didn't stay for too long but was hitting lots of long runs with illusiions in them! His illusions are great.
Overall it was really fun, I'm glad those guys were able to come out. If they keep at it they are going to become super good at footbag. I was really impressed by how much better Eoghan has gotten since the last time we saw him.

Hey guys, just popping in to say whats up. That was indeed an awesome session. I have never played that hard, and i am still sore. Me and Cale were whining the entire bus ride back. It's funny, at about 7:30, Cale and i were chilling in a Starbucks to get out of the cold. He fell asleep on one of the sofas there, and while he was sleeping i hit Parkwalk first try. That trick feels awesome. I love anything with a butterfly component. All in all it was one of the coolest experiances ever. As soon as possible i'm coming up there again. Shred on guys. Oh yeah, that stepping ducking paradox barrage at the end of the session was awesome. Props for that.

haha i love how your post makes me look really lazy yogan. actually, a few hours after the session was over, i screwed up my right knee while drilling pixies. its alright now, but i was way tired. so yes, i fellasleep. thanks again everyone in eugene, i had a blast. thnak you for the comments and positive expectations... i really appreciate it. i hope to do it again as soon as possible. next time you see me, i promise to be beter even. hopefully everything flipside as well, thats my curent goal. also, im getting an amaretta abshire, i loved yours james. well, until next time!
Had a session today with James, Casey, myself, and our newest shredita Shannell. James could only do a few runs before calling it quits because he was sick, but he also hit a long run every time he touched the bag. Casey managed to pull off all his signature stuff and almost getting spinning ducking by accident. He did manage to hit osis again today though. Shannell was amazing for her first day out kicking. She is super excited and really respectful as far as passing the bag is concerned. I still have yet to see her not pick the bag up and gently toss it to another person! She hit three new moves today, clipper, sole stall, and osis! In addition, she got toe stall x 3, outside kick x 5, and bicep squeeze lol. I hit two new things today, one being fairy ss double over down, and bigwalk > far symple swirl. I also had nuclear ss double down off my foot, next time maybe. Next session Saturday, it should be fun.

It's good to see the Eugene scene is back in full effect, even with a couple new people to shred with. I'm more than stoked about spending the winter in Eugene. Once I'm done with the semester, I'm planning on spending like 5 weeks in Eugene. I hope the EFA is going to be arround for shred sessions from Mid December to late January. Maybe I'll even throw in a couple random trips to Portland for the fun of it, I dunno. I've been practicing and it looks like y'all have been too. I can't wait to be done with this semester so I can get back to the home turf!
Oh hell yeah! That's funny Riley because I ran into one of your old stomping ground south eugene friends at the saturday market not to long ago. I forgot his name though, blond, shorter, could do some clippers and mirages.
Nonetheless, can't wait till you back man, you have some crazy style.

Had an epic session today with Aaron, our new shredita Shannell, and Eddie.
We were kicking on a large outdoor stage in the student amphitheatre.
After a while is started raining hard so we moved off the stage to a covered area nearby.
Shannell was playing very well and we even got her to self serve a bit. It took a bit of encouragement though. She was busting toe stalls and hit 5 in a row in shoes that are super hard to hit anything with. She also got several osis and clippers, and also busted a inside stall>walkover several times. She also came close to mirage. I think she would be so good when she gets lavers.
Eddie was busting really hard too. He hit lots of long strings and also did a lot of guiltless. I would really like to see him learn dlo, drifter, whirl, and double downs soon. I also think it's time for him to start learning sets like pixie and stepping. He has more than doubled in skill since I met him, so I'm really excited about his game.
Aaron is soooo good at footbag. I actually can't believe the type of stuff he is trying and hitting. I can't keep up with him in difficulty but he is pushing me as hard as I can go. I saw him bust a string with whirr bsos with rev swirling symp whirl in a long string. He also was doing stepping ducking like nothing, and his shuffle included equal parts on pixie stepping quantum and atomic, really fun to watch. I'll let him post the links/combos he hit, but I was really impressed with his skill today. He is definitely taking Eugene to new levels.
When Aaron throws whirrs I always think about that Erik Chan video where he was trying whirr. I think the video was called Whirrr! or something, but he was trying to hit it and the person filming was like what move are you going to try? And Chan was like Whirr and tried it and the guy was ok Were what move WERE you going to try or something like that haha. That video was awesome.
I had one of the best sessions for whirls I've ever had. I've never been much of a whirl dude, but that is Aarons bread and butter so he is always pushing me to throw more. I hit so many blurry whirls today it was crazy. Some new stuff that I hit:
legbeater>blurry whirl bs
blurry whirlx2
lots of blurry whirl bsos and stepped out of blurry whirl in several runs.
long run with pixie ducking whirl at the end.
tomahawk>stepping clip
hatchet
lots of tomahawks in runs
smoke>butter swirl>run with blurry whirl bs.
stepped out of blurriest several times, but missed the ripwalk...
shuffle strings with more quantum and atomic than normal
long runs with way more 5s than I usually do.
I like kicking with Aaron he is really influencing my style and we are both getting a lot better. The Eugene scene is so much fun!

Hah that's funny, I'll try to include more weather updates then. Slightly overcast today
Yep we are both going to SJFF, nate is going too. SJFF is probably my favorite tournament, I haven't missed it for 5 years.
