Man, if footbaggers tend to be perfectionists, and musicians tend to be perfectionists, then I am in trouble (being both and all  )

Thanks for the props Adam, it never hurts. Im not sure if the alpine blurry whirl was caught on film or not, but I hope it was.

Oh yeah, we are kicking again Saturday, if you want to join. If everyone can make it to Hirakata, we can kick at Kansai Gaidai. There will most likely be people around, and we can play indoors!

But, if you cant make it, I wont be THAT mad...

BTW, I hope your 'concert' went well.

Yes, I will bug Kenzo about the vid. As a matter of fact, I already have. We might try to tackle it on Saturday...

Hey.

No shred yesterday, which I think might have been a good thing, considering the fact that the insides of my legs have been sore for a couple days. They feel good today. I think a few days ago I figured out a good way to think about vortex, which I also feel is really abvious, I just never took the time to analyze it. I can do down time drifters fairly easy, so I just have to think about the gyro set, especially where my leg will be in relation to the bag. I also have to go teach in about 1 min, so I am writing this as fast as I can.

Have a good day.

I all really wanna do right now is sleep.

I just got back from this bar Mono, and its times like this that I realize how lucky I am to be in Japan. Tonight, I got talk to a bunch of people, some really cool girls, one who just got started in DJing, and another that is really good at singing, etc. I got into the bar for free, and a few of us freestyled inbetween shoecases (one of my friends threw an event). (tonight, i only beatboxed though...) I really like Japan, and my students.

Oh yeah, footblog...

drifter > ripwalk (first time i think...)

other stuff too.

Good night for now :D

So, that last post (the one above this), shoecases is actually showcases, and my thoughts seemed to be pretty scattered. Oh well.

Today, Koma-chan, Devi, Kenzo, Charhan, and I got together at Ocat in Osaka. It was a lot of fun. It was fairly warm, which is always nice. I am getting more accurate at torques, and they are becoming more and more fun.

I hit;
tombstone > ripwalk bs (challenge completed)
gyro butterfly (bsos)
matador bsos (not a first though)
pixie same whirl (felt fairly easy)
fairy same dlo (not sure if it was bsos. or even bs, for that matter...)

Once again Koma-chan suprised me. She hit (for the first time) atw out-in on her strong side, in-out weak side, footed out-in on weak. I am really happy for her. I think she will get very good. She also hit atw out-in, then transfered to her weak side for an attempt. The fact that she got that far, only playing about twice a week, makes me happy. I think its really good that she is coming out with us, because its always nice, Especially in the beginning, to have someone there who can give you advice and tips, and also push you on.

Later,
TJ

Hey,

Looking forward to Thursday. Kenzo is off so I'm going to meet him around maybe two or so and play till around 6:30 or 7. I wish I could play longer, but I have a class to teach in Kyoto at 8:30 that night. Kenzo was talking about playing at the gym that he and Debi have been using. It's either in Juso or Umeda. I hope we can work it out so that we can all get together!

Yesterday:

p eggbeater bsos
p blender bsos
quantum illusion bs (dont remember if it was bsos or not :? )
quantum ss illusion bs (dont remember if it was bsos or not :? )

It was really nice to throw quantums like that. It is my newest set, and I have been trying to work it lately, so its nice to see some progress.

Everytime I shred, I never want to stop, its just that things get in the way. Work, for example. Due to the fact that I wake up at 6 every morning for work, I need to go to bed early, or else be REALLY tired for most of the work day, which in turn leads to a crappy shred.
Also, chores and errands also get in the way. I have been thinking that if I use footbag to more of my avantage, not only will I be able to play longer, but I will get more things done. If I just bust ass to do everything I have to do FIRST, I can shred all I want. But, then again, that's the story of my life huh?

Footbag today is a good possibility, although I also want to get my hair cut...

Man, yesterday I wanted to just kick lightly, which never works. It takes me longer than an hour to really get warmed up, which means that only kicking for a hour mostly gets me upset, pissed, and even to the point where I throw my bag at the wall, bust a hole in it, then look at a passer-by and tell him 'I suck!'

That was how yesterday was. :D

Oh well, just one of those days...

I did school gyro for a bit though.

Hey.

Yesterday I shredded with Adam and Kenzo at Kansai University. Those two both had the day off, so they met up around 2, kicked for a couple hours. Then they met up with me, and we kicked for about 3 more hours.

We had a fairly good session, ESPECIALLY KENZO! Im sure he will post what he hit though...

I footed Pixie paradon swirl twice, but I just couldn't get under it enough for the seal, or even a hand catch for that matter...

My legs are SORE today, and it feels REALLY good!

I finally took a day off yesterday, and it felt GOOD. I had played about 4 days in a row, and I figured it was about time to rest and heal.

I have been thinking lately that the word 'drill' should be replaced with 'pattern'. It does, however, sound odd to say 'Yo, today I NAILED that rubberman pattern.'. On the other hand, it sounds nicer to say 'yeah, today i did such patterns as... '-or- 'I have been working on a bunch of different patterns recently.' I don't know, that's how I know 'drills' in juggling anyway. Tons of different patterns. Makes me think more bothsided

Oh,

weaving pickup bsos
slapping legover bsos

Good work on the gyro drills.

spin butterfly > gyro butterfly > (rpt) is especially tough. Gyro butterflies are kind of weird.

How many gyro clips have you hit?

Maybe we can kick together soon.

Adam,
I think my gyro clip record is 15  I think I can do more though...

I want to take today off, only because I havent been pushing myself that hard last couple days, which means I need a break. Blogging, reading other people's blogs, watching vids, etc., is not the beast way to NOT get pumped and want to shred...

Yesterday,
diving whirl bs (not zulu, AK  , although that would be fun too)
ducking far reverse whirl bs
diving rev. whirl
dod swirl (only one side  )

Congratulations on passing level 2! You should try level 1 next year, as it shouldn't be that much harder.

We're tentatively planning a session on Sunday, by the way.

We had a good session this last Sunday, even though Kenzo was sick, and I had the oncomings (still do) of a sickness.

I remember hitting...

gyro illusion bs
pixie ducking legover x2
blender > p blender bs

dyno > far dyno rpt

maybe more...
