Here are my New Balance CT 520s after I finished Hood's Tubing Modification Technique. I have also cut out the extra thick fabric from the inside, and the tongue. I also used a Brocka mod on these shoes. I JUST got new shoelaces that are finally not too long or short (These are 27") and I can't wait to try them out tonight. There are heel insoles in right now but I will get full insoles in the next week or so. I think my shoes are pretty hein, myself. I will post a review of the tubing mod sometime soon, but essentially in a nutshell IT WORKS. I hope you like my shoes!
Thanks! I'm glad someone liked my shoes. I've had them since last September I think. So almost a year. I really like the mods I did to them. Now all I need to do is get better insoles. And maybe add a clipper rail, but I've never experimented with them.

travis, please let me know how your climas work out for you. also, you might want to remove the little lace hole on the toe, it will enlarge you toe surface area a bit and allows the bag to fall into a more natural place.
these are my 2 week old climacool response 1s. post modification of course, ill post pics soon of my new ones that i bought just for walking around in because obviously these look pretty busted already.
they play amazingly, however.
i posted the link below each pic in case the img thing doesnt work
Yeah baby! Rocking my fabric mod. Has Mosher tried that yet? I'm interested to see what he thinks of it. (I love it!!!) I might as well add to the ClimaCool appreciation thread...

I havn't done that one, I'd rather maintain the general structural integridy of that whole area. Also.. what advantage is there? The mesh is already super thin and feel-able. I like that my shoe is still a shoe, you know?
I like what you've done with chopping off the sidewalls.
