Neither zombies or ghosts can play footbag. I have yet to meet one I couldn't beat. Vampires on the other hand are wicked fast. That's also a really good threat I just relized because it always comes true. I come back inside from footbagging for an hour and see 3 more pages of this...

It doesn't matter that it's just what people say in California, people say it everywhere. On every playground kids are stupidly calling things gay because it's become ingrained in the lingo of our generation.

You can't use the fact that others say it as an excuse to be ignorant.

Matt has tried to explain why it is bad several times but it's clearly not set in.

OK - if you call something gay and by 'gay' you mean that it is bad in some way that means that you are saying it is bad to be gay.

i just wanna say something...

i understand the points of both sides:

wicked: wants the sport to be popular, so he wants to remove the gay connotations of the sport so it can be accepted by more people, and possibly become more popular.

matt: doesn't want the word gay to be used as derogatory because it is hurtful to people, in the same way that racial slurs are hurtful to people.

eric intended to discuss the sports popularity, and not the use of the word gay, so maybe we should go back to his original argument; which was to discuss the use of short shorts, and shirtless shred, etc.

if wearing no shirt, or wearing short shorts turns people away from the sport, then why do we do it? or should we even care?

in eric's defense: eric isn't trying to insult anyone by using the word gay like that. he's just frustrated that people take it so seriously.

footbag sux. Everyone in the game who is over 25 is trieing to make a living off it, and few are succeeding. Most people figure out what a waste of time this game is by the time they are that age and get a real life. maybe I should do the same.
because bills suck. I wasn't rich so I couldn't afford to go to college. all you rich mo foers and people with straight A's are jerks because you get to go to colledge and extend you're childhood. While I am here working 2 jobs just to pay my rent and have no time to shred. selling stuff on the web doesn't make any money and who wants to stich bags all day? those damn stichers just keep raising their prices anyway.
the cali scene suxs now too. Nobody is motivated and wants to take their game to the next level. Nobody holds any damn tourneys. the only person that gets any respect is Steve Goldburg. and he sux because he can't shred hard and lives in Europe most of the time.
