I think but I may be wrong:
spinning pincher *
gyro pincher *
stepping pincher *
stepping same side pincher *
pixie same pincher*
pixie opposite pincher*
*pinchers done from inside the knee not outside.
If the concept does not have a name I think it should be called "squish." [/img]

Hey,
I was hoping to hear some feedback about a way I think I invented to kick a footbag, both to pass and to self-pass. I call the kicks "blade kicks", due to resemblance to a move in martial arts where you kick with the 'blade' of the foot.
This is what you do, I will describe how to use it as a pass (a self-pass is nearly identical). Set the bag with, say, a left inside kick so that it goes up straight and a little away from you. Set your foot down. Then, you want to come back up at the bag, same foot, as if you were going to give it a forward, punt style pass, toes pointed and all. At the last moment, you quickly twist your hips and ankle, much like an inside kick ankle crank, but nailing the bag with the outside 'blade' of your foot.
It carries all the momentum of the punt, with an extra, and very sweet looking pop from the ankle twist before you nail the bag with the outside blade of your foot. If you raise the punting leg a bit higher before switching to the blade kick maneuver, you can blade it upwards as a self-pass. This takes just a bit of martial-arts style flexibility, nothing drastic.
Have you guys seen this? I'm probably gonna make a youtube video naming it and whatnot, I think it's badass.

I did some of those pinchers today.
will digges hit fairy gyro blaze, and fairy gyro whirling butter, both to a solid hand catch. I hit the set a few times, but not comfortably and not to even an attempt at something out of it.
anyway, has anyone seen anyone hit either of those new moves?

we'll get some video pretty soon. all I can say is, remember a few years ago when lynton stephens was doing atomic spinning / gyro moves, and the atomic set was done really high on his thigh, while he spun? This fairy set is very similar to that.
maybe it's not a fairy set? I'm not sure. it's a nasty looking set whatever it is. it starts on the toe, goes under the same leg and behind the body while spinning.
maybe it's something that needs a differentiating name, but I guarantee that when you see it, you're gonna love it.
anyone remember that video where jorden does fairy gyro barraging? it's a similar fairy set to that.

About 30 minutes of tweaking, failing, picking up the bag, tweaking, thinking, drinking water, and then saying "Oh, I should probably practice symp atomic first".
Then doing that, and realizing it wont work either, so tweaking again, thinking, sweating, dropping, and after about 45 minutes of confusion getting lucky.
I'll practice it, and at least hit it a few more times before I try to get it on video.. But yeah, the idea that made the set work was really bending the support knee, like, more than any other trick, and trying to plant the symp foot just infront of where the setting foot set it, and then tucking your knee over and upwards as high as possible, and then praying to baby moses that you can just squeeze out a butterfly after.
