2 of my former coworkers came in for appointments today. As much as I love them to death they can be annoying as hell. Please dont fucking ask me how I've been if you're just going to interupt me in the middle of it, GEEZ!

Mostly sunny. High 42F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. It's cold, but not too cold. Dress accordingly.

I want to toss a disc around at the park and maybe play some squares (despite the thorough dismantling Tom gave me)

Today was probably the most fun I've had playing squares.

Straight up = Nathan
Highlander Beta = Martin
Ace Everyone, play to 30 = Nathan
Double Team = Martin
5 in a row = Freddy

During one of the games Martin was setting himself for a short pass w/ a hand swipe to fake out Nathan. I tried to snake it and Martin slapped the shit out of my shoe and screamed

I shit you not, it sounded like something from Jurrasic Park

Everyone left the squares cracking up, I had to wipe the tears from my eyes before I could play again.

Soon after he went to get a tennis ball that flew out of the adjacent courts. He under-handed it and fell way short of the fence and we damn near pissed our pants from laughing so hard. I found myself on the floor again when he missed the second attempt to throw the ball back. I didn't see it, I heard hit the chain link fence though and Freddy and Nathan started laughing even harder. I was cracking up so hard my stomach started hurting. Good times!

Can't win if you don't play.

Long-ass day. Second to last patient decides she wants a cleaning instead of the consultation apointment she originally made. Which in turn makes us late to start the 3 extractions we were scheduled to do on the Dr's son. The first tooth took longer than expected because the root was hooked and the second tooth took even longer because it was double rooted. Thank-fucking-god the Dr. decides to just let a specialist finish the third tooth. But of course, with the kind of evening I was having, it took an hour to get home in the rain.

My first wisdoms one side at a time were a bitch to get out. The Dr. was pretty strong looking but he was wrenching so hard It was twising my neck and after awhile of no success he finally got it. And sent me to my car within 3 minuts while I was still completly dazed and bleeding like crazy.
I didnt get the other side done for years until one wisdom tooth was falling apart so I went to a new dentist. This guy is a martial arts expert and actually fights real matches on weekends( not that kata type martial artist), this guy plucked my teeth like they were no problem. I think he used his reflexes to do a quick motion and pluck them just like he was knocking them out in the ring.

OK, so I'm going to get the tent stakes for my portable 4-square court. Then I'm going to hook up with my friends Greg and Jerome to splay squares with the Lane kids at their school. Maybe even toss a disc around with Kamil

I'll try and organize a session on Saturday if the weather is nice. I'll be working until 3 so it will most likely be at Welles Park.

So I was an hour and a half late for the jam because of work. But when I got to the park I was more than a little suprised to see the turnout.

So I walk up and 4-square was already in progress with a hack/shred circle on the side. It's always great to see many of the Lane kids at the sessions. Meinard came out! Have not kicked with him in a while, not sure if he played squares but I did kick with him in the circle for a while. Al, a kicker from Oak Park has resurfaced. I have not played with him since Windy City Open. I finally got to kick with Tony, a hacker/stand-up comic that I met on myspace who just moved to Chicago in December.

It was a nice laid back session, specially 4-square. Most of us were too busy just talkin shit and chillin to really get serious. Even tossed around a disc for a while

Afterwards a few of us went to Potbellys chelled there then chilled at my play. Other than me being late and the cold weather it was a perfect day.
