Yo Szymon !

I challenge you to hit swirling whirl>pdx whirling swirl ( for your vid )
and i challenge you also to explain your feelings towards the latest
election in your country - i'm really curious about your opinion in
this matter, since we dont have the most detailed info about polish
politics in the german press.

Btw, i miss you and Hania - when will we meet again ?

Hehe, challenges from Daryl are the best  I can't really hit Pdx Whirling Swirl you know :) And about the elections - I don't have any special feelings about it (I can't vote anyway), all politicians are thieves and which one of them is elected won't really change anything  But I think it would be better if Tusk (the guy that lost) won, because at least he isn't 130 cm tall and is able to smile like a normal person :?

Whatever, politics is not really a big part of my life :) So I hit Tomahawk > Spinning Pdx Whirl > Tomahawk yesterday - it felt nice. I don't remember anything else :)

There's going to be another Zocha Jam tournament soon! That's really cool :D I can't wait to shred with all the people :)

Pozdrawiam

Ners wrote:Good session, there were 3 people playing. I was tired after hardcore Sports class that I had before, but I still found some energy to try new stuff:

Janiwalker > Ripped Warrior
Whirling Butterfly in a shuffle string

Food Processor > PS Whirl > run
Alpine Blurry Whirl > run (close to BSOS too :) )
run with DLO and Pdx DLO BSOS, and Gyro DLO
Bigwalk - I finally figured it out! Before I thought it's impossible for me to hit it clean. :D
Barfly > Pdx Drifter (rpt)
run with Barfly BS, Blurriest BS, Pixie Paradon and Scorpion's Tail

I also hit Whirlygig > Whirlwind again. After trying some Torques it came to me that I still do my old mistake of jumping to high in the air. After correcting this they felt a lot easier, especially the Pdx version.

That's huge ners! Especially I like the combo alpine blurry whirl, ripped wariior. continue like that !

Good, long session today - it lasted for 3,5 hour so a lot of shred :) There were also a LOT of people, about 9 shredders! It's great to play with so many players :) I hit some new stuff like:

Pixie Symp. Mirage > Atom Smasher > Witchdoctor
Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl > Spinning Pdx Whirl > run with PS Whirl bsos and Pixie Paradon
Blurriest > Scorpion's Tail
Janiwalker > Blurriest > run with Pixie Symp. Whirl and Plasma :)
Food Processor, Whirlygig BS and Mullet in a run
Symp. Whirling Swirl > Twirl

I footed Symp. Whirling Swirling Twirl too, I think that I could hit it if I really tried. I need to work on my Twirls more though. Gave some shots at Symp. Quantum Quantum set, but it's very hard :)

Thanks Riku! I'm downloding your vid now, I'll comment as soon as I see it :) On Thursday I had a session with Olaf, and he stopped playing in the end and just asked me to hit different stuff, mostly 6's. I hit:

Maelstrom
Spinning Pdx Blender
Food Processor
Whirlwind
Mullet
Whirlygig

all on both sides, and Ducking Pdx Blender on one side. Today we shredded on Morskie Oko again and Damian Budzik came to play too :D Surprisingly, I had good form today and hit some good runs. Some stuff that stood out:

Food Processor > Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl
Fury BS
Stepping Reaper
Fury > Pixie Paradon > run with Blurry Whirl > Spinning Pdx Whirl and Symp. Whirling Swirl
Bedwetter > Pixie Whirl > run
Janiwalker > Torquescrew > run with Fog, Mobius and Superfly

So tommorow we're having another session hopefully :)

So great session today - I hit a lot of new stuff :)

Symp. Mirage > Atomsmasher (rpt) > run > Smear > PLO (rpt) > Smear > Symp. Mirage > PLO (rpt)
Alpine Atomsmasher BS

Flux BS
Symp. Torque BS
Big Apple
Janiwalker > Symp. Torque > run with Blurry Whirl BS
Blurriest > Scorpion's Tail
Blur > Toe Blur > Tripwalk BS
Torquescrew > Pdx Blender > run
Pdx Whirling Swirl

I also got flipside Whirling Swirl and flip Flail for the first time. Now I have to study for a big test tommorow 8O :?

So I just came back from a tournament in Strzelin. It was a closed tournament, so I didn't compete, but I shredded like a mad man and had awesome time :D It was great to meet all the players from Strzelin, we haven't played together since the Polish Champs. I hit one new trick: Swifter, and some new combos (I don't remember them though). I had one very long run too, I was pretty happy with it :) .

Thanks for the tournament guys!

Long session today - we shredded for about 4 hours. I hit some new stuff - Kiwi for the first time, and got super close to Fury > Kiwi (but got Fury > Phoenix). High Plains Drifter > Symp. Whirl felt nice too. I also hit two good drills, which help to school many components:

Drifter > Whirl > DLO > Whirl (rpt)
Drifter > Barfly > Pdx Whirl > DLO > Whirl (rpt)
DLO > Legbeater (rpt)

I also thought up an ultimate drill of this kind, which would look like this:

Drifter > Barfly > Barrage > Paradon > Pdx Whirl > DLO > Eggbeater > Whirl (rpt)

But It would take a lot of work to hit :) I dropped the last trick in Plasticman drill, so I should hit it in a couple of sessions. In the end of the session, I tried some good ol' fearless, and hit:

Phoenix > Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl > Blurriest > PS Whirl

I couldn't hit Spinning Pdx Whirl after the last trick, it's probably due to my weak form on Spins in general

I haven't updated my blog for some time, cause I've been busy with lots of stuff. But I'm still shredding of course  I'll write a bit about Zocha Jam.

The tournament was a big success, even though there were less players then last year. But we still got the top shredders competing, so all the events were very exciting. Some new players arrived, and it's great to see, that our scene is constantly getting bigger. There were two contestants outside Poland - Dexter and Jana from Czech Republic.

On the first day there was a casual shred in the gym, so that everyone could tire themself before the competition  I played very well on this day, hit some new stuff, like Atomic Drifter, and one link I'm especially proud of:

Fury > Kiwi

I'm really into downtime guiltless shred now. Combos only with Drifters, Whirls, DLO's, Double Downs and stuff like this are most fun for me to do :D It was very nice to talk and play with all the people I haven't seen for some time. We left the gym at about 11, and just hang out till about 12. Then of course we had to miss the night bus, that was going only once in an hour  Finally we made it home safely.

The second day went really fast - I shredded a lot and got 4th in Open Freestyle, 2nd in Shred30, 1st in Sick3 (Janiwalker > Blurry Whirl > Superfly) and 1st in Doubles Freestyle! :D I'm incredibly happy about the last one - I played with Michał Ostrowski and we weren't very prepared, but on stage everything went extremely well :D After the competition there was an afterparty in a small club called Bezsenność, and there was a concert of some nice band - I liked it.

I'm going to have a session in 3 days, so I think I'll have something to write about then.

It looks like I haven't been updating my blog for longer then I thought! Time to catch up. I went to a Footbag Jam in Strzelce Opolskie on last Wednesday. It was great, we shredded for about 6 hours, played 4Square, Golf and even some version of Footbag Football (there was a small football court and we made use of the goals :D ).

There were about 7 people playing, so there was always some people shredding in a circle. I don't think I've hit anything new, but I had some good runs:

Firewalk > PS Eggbeater > run with Symp. Whirling Swirl
Janiwalker > Janiwalker > run with Blurry Whirl, Blurriest and PS Whirl BS
Vortex > Whirling Swirl to a long run

After shredding our legs off, we went to eat something (we ended up going for Knysza of course :D ). And then boarded our train and went straight home to Wrocław. My friend Wojtas had his laptop with him, and he played footbag videos on it while we were travelling :) That made the trip very short (and also gave other people something to wonder about, they probably thought we are at least strange :) ).

Today I went to play, and ended with having a solo session, as nobody showed up :? Unfortunately I pulled a muscle on my upper leg so I couldn't hit everything I wanted. I worked on Rev. Swirls and got 5 on my strongside and 3 on flipside. I hit Drifter > Rev. Swirl (rpt) too, that felt nice :) . I think I should start using Swirls in my genuine runs - that would make them more varied.

I made two bags. The story behind them is a bit complicated. About two months ago I got an idea to make a bag from 6 square panels. The Cube, as I called it, was supposed to be a gift for my friend who kept asking me for a bag :) I cut out the panels, but while stitching I made so many mistakes that I got mad and threw it all away.

Recently I was so bored that I found those old panels and finished the bag. To my surprise it came out pretty good! It's not round of course, but totally shreddable. It delays like a sandman so it's very easy to catch. I think that it could make a good bag for begginers who are starting out - maybe I could make some more and give them to random people in my school (it would be nice to convert someone to the Only Right Way :D ).

So I made another bag for myself, and gave the first one to my friend. She laughed a lot when she saw it :D Maybe she will start playing, who knows. So the only thing that could be better is the thread that I use. It's way too weak and I'm afraid that after some harder kicks it will bust. I'll try to make some photos of the bag and post them here.

Hi Szymon, I recommend to use waxed dental floss as a thread - should work fine!

Yeah, dental floss would be good too, but I think I'll get a special thread for stitching leather - it's almost impossible to break this one :D

I had a small session, and didn't shred much. I tried to beat some Polish records, and managed to hit Butterfly x164 and some other stuff. The cool thing was, that a friend of mine came by and stayed in the gym to practice breakdance :D So I practiced too 8) It's pretty cool, I learned some basic stuff, like Uprocks and Sixstep. Freezes are awesome too :) Of course footbag is better, but maybe sometimes when I'll be bored and in need of trying something new I'll drop to the ground and school those tricks :)

I can't wait to shred with some people, and next session is on Thursday.

I don't know how to breakdance, but in Worlds2006

WE WILL HAVE A BREAKDANCE CIRCLE AND A CAKE EATING CONTEST AT THE SAME TIME

And you're in it. I decided it already so there's nothing you can do.

What can I do for you?
