That tute was awsome, the tutor was pretty funny, looks like it will be a great subject! :D

My knee is in bad shape, it would be sensible to take time off, otherwise it might be the end if I keep playing on. Basically I need recovery time.

:( That sucks Janis... make sure you take the time off, it's not worth hurting it more! Just make heaps of chainmail bags or start stitching :D

Indeed lots of time to stich bags :D

my knee isn't better and it's been 5 days now, I really can't see myself playing for at least another week, probably two. Nothing else to say really, except that I've decided quantum merlin will be the first 3 dex I'll hit(merlin has been bad on the knees though :? ).

as soon as you set up your club you will be wishing it was last year or more years ago, when you could get so much more funding and such.

But clubs aren't to start and stuff and you may even get some $$$ out of your uni.

funding would be cool, but the main reason for a club would be to get all the circle kickers to come and an opportunity to meet people :D

yeah. I started a club this year at UC. it's pretty much just circle kicking, four square and drinking heaps. Good times! I kinda wish I had've started it earlier, simply because I'm finishing this year, so don't really get to push it any further.

But yeah. You should go to whoever the person that runs clubs and societies at your uni and ask about it. You probably won't be able to get any funding this year, but it's just makes you a bit more official having a proper club.

The UC club sounds grouse :D

I'm booked in to see a physiotherapist next tuesday,
hopefully they will find a miracle cure for my knee :D

edit: I got bored and did a barefoot shred, hit shitloads of datw's on strongsode, footed flip and footed flip dso. Flip is still a bit injured though :(

Had a great barefoot session at home :!:

hit flip dso :D
and flip DATW out-in

new barefoot moves:
flip DATW
flip dso
toe set rev whirl
pdx mirage

Edit: Watched the Felix + Vasek worlds vid 8O
So crazy! after watching I had to go and shred again so I put the shoes on and kept playing :D
started by doing some butterflies, did lots of DATW attempts on flipside, footed a few but kept snagging the bag on the 2nd dex.
hit fairy swirl bsos for the first time :D
clipper set near pickup bsos for the first time (never thought of doing it before)
still couldn't hit that ducking toe>diving toe> spinning toe> rpt. challenge, kept screwing up on the duck after the spin, this challenge is pissing me off.
tried some whirls/whirrs (<- for the lol factor)and finished the session with a few really good DATW's on strongside.

It's so good to be shredding again :D

Another barefoot session at home:
knee is still a bit crook but I just had to play, so I decided to do low impact basics.
some highlights:
20+ atw's in a run using both feet
atw both directions, mirage, pixie, legover, illusion and clipper bsos in the one run
26 tiltless (5x flip illusions in that run too)
fairy symple swirl  (barefoot :D )

I'm back from injury :D even though the knee is %90 it's ok playing again, just no symposium or whirls on that leg.

Anyway I've been working hard on building up my leg strength, I really don't want to get injured like this again, also I want to hit whirr and tatw before next aussie nationals.

Had a another short barefoot session in the coridor, just drilled my flip toe set it's feeling heaps better, and a major milestone in my game happened tonight at 11pm, as I hit:
DATW BSOS (out to in) :D :D 8O :D  :D

so happy about that :D

Another barefoot session at home, drilled more datw, hit a few whilst on the phone :D
came really close to flipside in-out DATW, tatw "lol" attempt was okay(close to footing), but hurt :?
also really liked this run on strong datw in>toe stall>datw out and hit toe set butterfly BSOS first attempt :D
datw>datw still eludes me though, but I'll get it before the end of the week, also datw all directions bsos is close, I'll hit it before the end of the month.

I'll probably play again later, had to take a break for dinner.

Awsome :D
I don't think Brendan is back in Aus yet, will Alex (from UK) be coming? It would be awsome if he did.

Dan, if you could ask Lynton + Brendan, that would be great. I'll ask pat, chances are he cbfed, unless we get the rattan ball+net set out, in which case he probably will come.

I can't make it :( Just don't have the dough. Sounds huge though.

Dan: can you look at this thread for me
http://www.modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.php?t=14183
and ask lynton if he knows about that? Thx.

Had another barefoot session at home, I spent a few minutes on clippers, then spent the rest of the session on datw. I reached another milestone in my game when I hit datw in-out on my flipside, now I've hit all 4 datw directions.
I hit datw (in-out) on flip again 4 times in the session and had bsos footed each time, meh.

also this is my 700th post, which makes me kinda sad, although modified has kept me playing footbag I've spent way too much time online.
