oh, they are all easier than pdx whirl for me, that's why I suggested them, sorry if they are harder.

Hey thanks for the suggestions guys! I've never tried whirling rakes but it seems like a good idea.

Haha janis, you're one of those people to whom the add system doesn't make sense then. Reminds me of the guy I met at the Paris Open who told me he thinks tomahawk is a LOT harder than mullet

But take into account that you're a GENUINE toe player and I'm less of that. So no frantics yet, even 3 add tricks that end in legover can give me a hard time.

I was actually thinking about triple paradon (wouldn't pteranodon be an awesome name for that?) this morning and figured I should give it a try next time I kick. Didn't know it qualified for x-dex though, but yeah I count those. To me toe blur and atom smasher are 4s, all the way!

I think Max is right in as far as I have a better shot at the torque and PS whirl stuff. Actually I had some pretty good looks at ducking pdx torque yesterday, and I also cleared the dex in spinning paradox blender a few times.

So no cigar there yet, but I did hit some new fives.

Oh shizzle! I forgot to try triple paradon last night!

Did try loads of other things though, was fun. Jam @ casa Seb, he moved to a new appartment recently and it has a KICKASS shred kitchen. At one point there were two separate circles there

. Also good lighting and a grippy, solid floor. To put it in another way: it's perfect (except the occasional bag drop in the garbage).

So it was Max, BenoÃ®te, Giul, Seb and mio. At some point I had the feeling we were having a big trick session. Lots of sick stuff from Max in particular. Giul hit his first mobius, on his first try EVER

. So since last night there are 8 wonders in the world.

I did pretty good too, some semi-long runs (26 contacts was probably my best). Still no 6s in spite of a number of tries. Other than that
-matador BSOS (the first five I beesauced)
-toe blur back to back! That has been a wet dream combo since I watched Ahren's section in Tricks of the Trade II.
-footed sumo on only try (hit it 1.5 years ago, haven't tried since)
-dito for flurry. My fucked up legover technique is getting ashaming

-getting comfortable with the whirr motion. I didn't hit one yesterday, but on none of my tries I felt I was hurting my knee like I seemed to do when I first got into whirrs some weeks ago.

Ummm... some other stuff I can't think of right now.

-really easy pixie whirl. I used to have a VERY hard time hitting this trick, but I might start doing them more.

So yeah I've been shredding 3x since the last post.

In my first session nothing was hit.

In my second session nuttin' was hit.

Yesterday however I decided to get some cool tricks/combos on film for the online comp.

For sick3 I just did some 4>4>4, could probably have squeezed a 5 in there but I didn't feel like investing a lot of time trying. atom smasher>tripwalk>pdx whirl got cut in favour of my final entry (no spoilers yet)

Other highlights of the sesh:

-pdx torque BS
-matador
-sumo several times BS. Got cut for sick 1 in favour of
-vertigo
-ss butterfly>barrage *4. That's fun!
-A long Erik Chanesque low dex run (15-20 contacts?)
-footing mind bender several times. I looked in slomo and the dex seems to be there

-8 tripless
-and oh yeah my first SIX! Atomic double over down (yes I think x-dex is legit). The cleanest of my 6 hits was still a bit 'toey' but the dex was there.

OK off to a lecture now!

It's all very easy, you watch the videos, mark down the order / placement of each competitor and then PM me the list like this:

Sick 1:
1. John Doe
2. Jean Dupont
3. blahbla
etc..

and..... well that's it really

I was actually trying to think of a version in Dutch but I've come to the conclusion there's no literal translation

. My best guesses are:
-Jan Publiek
-Jan Modaal
-Jan-met-de-klak (John-with-the-cap)

All these have the connotation 'ordinary people' rather than 'unknown person'.

No clue on the Walloon version either, might be Jean Dupont.
