I could shred at 12:30-ish. You pick the spot, I'll be there......but the forecast says it may get all the way up to 11 or 12 later, so pick a spot that has good outdoor shredage nearby. Especially if its just the two of us, because then we can keep warm easily.

Also, some good eggbeater training...still can't really do much but BOP out of flip eggbeater, so not many drills, but I managed to hit it Bs out of a variety of tricks bs (best was prolly Ps Mirage).

So the big new today is that I'm completely done everything but exams for my first year of college! I'm on top of the world.......Its something I've been wanting to do for a few years now, and it feels pretty damn good. School has been treating me pretty well, when it comes to friends and footbag, but is a LOT more stressful than work. Its so much easier to just get up and do your 9-5 without the stress of projects and studying. Its a trade off, and it seems like a decent one. Not to mention I can hopefully get a decent job once I'm out of this place.

Anyway, I'm headed back to the bush soon, for another summer of planting. Its less than a month away now, and I hope to see all the footbag enthusiasts in the area at least once before I go.

In that vein......

WEED MARCH!!!!

Hopefully we can represent large this year, much like we did 2 years ago. THIS MEANS YOU! YES YOU! The one reading this right now. I'm going to miss footbag a lot while I'm away....hmmmm....to bad. Its not like I'm going to stop anytime in the next 5 years, so whats another little bump in the road to smoother style, longer runs, and harder tricks.

I'm starting to get really excited to be out there in the big wide world, instead of being trapped in Toronto and at my school. Even my recent trip to Guelph breathed a little life into me!

It's so cool when your club's city has its own defining festival that happens each year. You just get so pumped and excited for it, it's such a special day. Adam if I remember correctly you were "found" at the weed march years ago. Austin has something very similar. We have the Reggae Festival and Eeyore's Birthday, which are festivals two weekends in a row in April that always have tons of hack circles. You can just play hack all day long, shred when you want, and just enjoy yourself. You meet tons of people, and can often recruit new freestylers. I often refer to this 2 week stretch in Austin as "Hack Season" or "the most wonderful time of the year". I guess yours is May 2nd. Enjoy.

I'm very impressed that you remember where I started....that Weed March was a really big day for me....even if I didn't realize it at the time. Its a true Toronto tradition, and if there was any place for Toronto's (currently) most dedicated freestyler to be "found", what better a place could there be. Ben, I haven't met you yet, but I'll go out of my way to make it down to an event in the south that you'll be at, if only out of respect for your interest in our little Toronto scene.
