My hip's feeling a little better. It should be fine tomorrow or the day after.

I'm really busy with stuff. Damn.

I modded my new lavers today. Horay.

I'm sick of shred-only videos. My two favorite footbag videos are the one Japanese player shredding to that one Linkin Park song, and the Tout Perdu video. Those videos are much more interesting. I've got my videos folder loaded with shred-only videos, and frankly most of them are very boring to watch. Either my next video or the one after that is going to be very artistic and very unshreddy. I like things with more meaning than just "look at me hit nemesis and than genesis and then 20 fearless and then 3 godly and then a 57 contact guiltless string." Idk, it's ok sometimes, but especially for middle to lower level players to post videos like that (to a lesser extent than the example above, obviously) it's just boring. Unless it's a video that the person wants analyzed for tips and stuff. Whatever, all I know is my next video isn't going to be something cliche or anything like that.

This was my first session in my new lavers. The time it took for me to get used to them was very short, although the clipper surface was a lot different. I worked on a bunch of clipper stuff today, since that's what's lacking attention. In fact, I think my pixie set is where it needs to be right now, and I'm going to leave it alone until I get stepping down. I'm also heavily into tiltless right now, and want basically no errors when it comes to anything tiltless. I'm also working on posture and standing up straighter. I took a small video today just to see what I look like, and I need to puff my chest out more. My form looks a lot better when I do that, as opposed to my shoulders sagging and my head tilted over. So yeah, lots o' stuff to work on.

I had a good session today. I got like 13 consecutive osiseseses and finally a successfull torque that wasn't pulled or scooped or anything. I also almost did whirl war, but on the last trick I kicked my foot and nearly fell over. I'll get it next time.

thanks

I hit symposium whirl today. God, it's such an easy move! It requires like no effort. I kind of suprised myself when I got close to it. The problem was I was trying to set the bag, but it really just needed a short little boost, rather than a full set for a move like butterfly or other clipper-type moves. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I hit it BS. I hit it after like 5 tries on my left, then like 10 tries on my right. I also hit swirl>infinity>rpt today.

I feel reinvigorated now. Everything is just clicking fastpaced for the first time in like 3 months. I've been hitting new moves like crazy and I just feel like everything's so much easier. Today I hit 6 consecutive drifters and pixie same toe drifter for the first time. I feel like I'm finally crawling out of my bop/pixie/double legover setting and I'm finally moving on. It's too bad though, because I really want to play right now but its too late and I have homework.

Me and my friend got into an accident today. He was driving on a gravel road and there was a turn he took too fast and we ended up hitting the yellow plastic-coated wire that's attached to the wooden electric wire holder things. I can't even think of what they're called. I didn't know what to think when we hit that. The only thing I came to my mind is we were lucky we didn't hit the pole or drive onto the person's lawn or possibly hit their house or hit the wire so hard that the pole came down on us. The bad thing was he was so disturbed for what his parents had in store for him when they found out. Which I don't really think is fair, because they made him buy the car with his own money, so it should be his responsibility altogether, and if it's his they should have no right to take it away or anything beyond making him pay for it. I could see them taking his car away for a few weeks or months to discipline him for being a reckless driver, because that's what a good parent would do, but if it's his they shouldn't be able to take it or whatever. I don't want them telling my parents about it though, and getting me in trouble, especially since I didn't do anything. I don't really know what to think or anything right now. Fuck it.

yeah. there were only two of us in the car, and the only thing that really got damaged was his front bumper. it was just kind of a big mental trauma more than anything else. i'm glad that i saw my friend at school today, because he kept saying things about not even bothering to go home that night, but i talked him out of it. i don't know the rest of the situation beyond that.

I get to go to only 2 days of nyj this year. Fun. That's how my family works, they make up their own fucking minds, then when I try to say that I want to do something else I get yelled at. Fuck them. I see my sister at least 3 times a year, and they're trying to pin me with the "you're anti-family" bullshit. How many times a year does NYJ happen? Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I'm getting a hotel room there, or I'm staying at my sister's house, or else I'm not going. They're not going to not only tell me how many days I can go, but also that I can't fully experience it all because I have to get home on the 4 o'clock train? Fuck it. Right now I feel like I'd rather break my own fucking ankle than go skiing in Colorado. I don't even like skiing anymore. It's not that fun anymore. All I know is I want to get out of this hellhole soon so I don't have to go thru bullshit like this anymore.

Another thing? There's a band trip during spring break that I don't want to go on. I told my mom that I wanted to maybe go to a footbag tournament instead or something. Nothing big, just a short little trip out somewhere to play some hacky sack. Her reaction was that since we have the same spring break that she'd go where ever I went. Fuck that. There would be nothing for her to do. I feel bad about dragging my parents downtown to play and they have nothing to, let alone dragging my mom to a different state to play. That's such bullshit, stop being so goddamn overprotective. If that's really how she's going to act, I can fucking stay home all spring break. I'm fucking sick of them bullying me into doing stupid shit.

I suck at footbag lately. I don't know why, it's just not clicking right now. Nothing's clicking right now. It doesn't feel like I'm doing anything right anymore. Awesome.

I had a few friends with similar overprotective parents. I was all against and told them to disobey and do their own thing. Most of the time they didn't and just after a few years they went off to college and then were free. My one friend, her parents wouldn't let her sleep past 8AM ever even on weekends. "She should get up and be productive." I think they convinced her it was a good idea after years of forcing her to do it. In my case I just continually showed that I was responsible, with a bit of gusto and confidence that I was going to do what i wanted, and they conformed to me.

Footbag - try schooling some lower key combos that u have planned out instead of juss shreddin.

I've been doing a lot of basics recently. A lot of inside stalls, clippers, and atws to be more exact. I've also worked on other tiltless, but record breaking for moves like mirage and legover happens like after one or two tries. But it just feels like everything falls apart when I try shredding. Maybe I just need a short break.

I think they're pretty overprotective, but I think they're more overbearing. They like to play mommy and daddy, and I'm their last child to do that to. I also think that it's because their relationship is so unstable. They like to yell at me about each other, and I think they'll get divorced a couple years after I leave for college.

Speaking of college, I visited UIC today. It's a really nice school. The campus reminds me of ISU, but it's close to the city. I'm sick of being stuck around cornfields with nothing to do. I know it's a lot different for college and everything, and of course there'll be things to do, but I don't want to be limited.

Apparently my friend Jake drove by somebody freestyling in Wheaton on Saturday. I'm not sure who it is, but I sure would like to find out and shred with him one day.

i'm not quite at the ability where i can just shred, but i know when it felt like my game was taking 3 steps back for every step forward, i decided to take a week off from footbag. no kicking, no anything. now i didn't just completely forget about footbag, all i thought about every day was how my legs should be moving, practiced my form and really really thought hard about how things should be done, and watched videos for hours when i was at home not playing footbag.

came back after that week break and everything felt insanely more controlled then right before i stopped playing.

maybe it can work for you?
