Today Bjoern, Jason, MAx and me met up in the cave to bust some
hotness .

At the beginning we played all at the same time in an
rather disorganized fashion, which was very fun.

According to plan i worked on basic dexes, butters and pixie stuff,
sometimes using Jasons method of practicing ; thats basically
doing a move to a handcatch over and over.

I was only used to do consecutives, which definitly has its advantages,
but doing a butterfly>hand catch rpt , for example, gives you time
to analyze the motion, feel and everything that might went wrong
with it, much better.
When i was pixieing, highlights were flip dimwalks and not to few
nice flip smears, muted pixie clipper, muted magellan and muted
ss smear ;smear>plo b2b is in the making...

Later, there was also a time of experimentation with stuff like
dso, flip datw, drifter and spinning clipper, but nothing got hit...
I didnt really mind, i was more interested in the possible feel
of, lets say drifter, so i tried it for fun !

Man. Jason hit some good stuff today : paradon ( new) and drifter
>spinning clipper and inspinning osis, i guess .
Bjoern and Max hit some new stuff aswell, but i bet they wanna post
the news themselves :P

When Bjoern and Jason had already left and Max was working out,
i stringed 18 + tiltless, footed pendulous xbd rake , sealed
assasin to mirage and after 26372 tries i hit fucking
RIPWALK
:D :D :D

Ripwalk was nice indeed!
New tricks I hit:
Spinning Osis on both sides
Spinning Butterfly on both sides
Pdx Drifter on both sides

That's it, no more Footbag till Footjam.

Holy cow, do i love these solo sessions :D

18, 21 und 24 tiltless :!:

stepping legover midrun

ducking mirage bsos

ducking mirage>diving mirage>ducking mirage

a new, genuine 3-3-3, and the hardest i've ever hit, flip's doin
most of the work here :P

That all happened at lunch break ; going solo is king, i cant see
what people find so hard about motivating themselves for
shredding alone ; you have all the time in the world, and the
feelings evoked are really pure - you dont want to impress
anybody but your self, you dont slow down others and you
dont have to slow down, unless you want to.

Training wise, practicing alone is really my way, as long its
about working on stuff i have enuff knowledge about .
( like i dont work on drifters alone, cause i dont know
enuf about them, but i will do so on butterflies )

Its also solo shredders who impress me a the most - guys like
Stefan Siegert or Jorden M., who go completly insane, all
on their own.

But i couldnt do anything, if playing alone was the only option
because correction and repeated advice are very important to
progress, at least for me and my level of shred.

The other thing about a team/club is of course the circle, with all
its pros : the group vibe, pushing each other, giving applause
and cries of pleasure and so on !
I also like to witness the good stuff other people hit - dog, i was
so happy, when i saw Bea's Phoenix for example :D

Work : i need peace and a very self centered set/ setting

Play : i like people and all these crazy endorphins

Today i had a sweet outdoor shred, waiting for the roleplay crew .
As soon as Liam came by and provided beer and sarcasm, things
started to flow nicely :D

plo>plo>plo
butterfly>pdx mirage>plo bs
butterfly>pdx mirage>smear bs
butterfly>ducking clipper bs
ducking clipper b2b

double legover
parkwalk
assasin
reverse swirl ( to hand :? )

Go FOOTBAG :P

Wow, nice stuff Daryl! Props for your combos, Butterfly > Pdx Mirage > Plo and the Smear one it reminds me I should start using my flip Pixie :P I think shredding alone is good for concepts and tricks, but It's easier to learn new links and longer strings while playing with others. Keep shredding :D

thanks for the props, guys, but i didnt tell you, how long it took me to get
these combos
especially to pixie out of a pdx mirage was trickier than i thought...
but the nice side effect was, that i did myriads of butter>pdx mirages
before i hit the whole combo - which is good , since i was always
a little too lazy with working on my bop's...

I can't wait for today's session! Daryl is so on fire right now - soon
he'll have surpassed my skills! 8O

I hope Max is with us today, and I sure hope I can shred a bit.
My shins are giving me massive trouble, not to mention my calf. (which
stayed silent for the last sessions, maybe it's due to the G-Units.

I'm so stoked for Footjam. So many international players are coming -
Kenny, Carol, Eric Wulff, Ellis and Caro, Lise, Ian from Australia, Andrew
Grant, Felix etc..it's gonna be so big. I just hope my legs will let me shred
at least a little bit.

The Golfjam sound very promising as well - I can't wait. And Flipsider is
making this year's footjam documentary! Woo!

Mmh Footbag.

Hey Hunters,

first, unfortunately I cant come to the session today. No money an no time. Getting a car for the next weekend is the other big problem. I call Philip today, hopefully he get the car from his parents. Im going to inform you tomorrow.
Now the better news I hit two new moves,
Blizzard (after five tries) and Witchdoctor (after... I dont remember how many tries :) )
Also I had some very nice runs with dlo midrun.

Nice session for all of you today

9. May 2005

Regular monday gym session.

Players: Daryl, Angrod, Max, Bea, me.

First half of the session drilling, then runs with Max.
Drilled mainly BOP's and it went well.

Had one 25-30 contact run with 2-3 toe bails (stupid tilts)

New move: Tap
New link: Torque>Pdx Mirage (First time I ever hit something out
of a torque other than a toe bail)

Monday. Manic monday...a big mmmh to that !

God, i was furious - drilling went well ; 23 tiltless ( only 2 add dexing :? ),
i worked on my toe set dlo's and i also worked on butters and pixies.

But i had to attend this meeting, which was a complete waste of
time, obviously, and any kind of time limit , or in fact anything
that comes between me and shredmania i hate with a nazi skin
passion  ooops, there i've said it...

Now, in a mood much cooler and some hours past i see the session
in a different light, but then i had the feeling of having achieved
excactly nothing. I workéd on smear>plo>smear>plo, and i just
couldnt pull it off, and it made me mad, always looking at the clock,
going like ; ooh, you better get it down, time is running out .
I knew, if i had enuff time, my willpower woulda made it possible,
but on monday i didnt plus my ecpectations were a little too high,
since i did quite well on sunday.

Anyway, i hit smear>plo on both sides innumerable times that
day, which is good, and i hit plo>plo>plo 4 time + magellan>
dimwalk
, , flipside parkwalk will be mine soon...

Fuck all this lengthy bullcrap, i shall go to sleep, get up early and
make my shred world a little brighter again :D

BJOERN : BIG effin' PROPS ON TAP AND TORQUE>PDX MIR !

Btw, Mike : witchdoctor is such a wicked sweet move !
