Happy B-day Sam. Hope everything went swimmingly.
so i'm back to normal life now. css7 was rocked my world. Here is my scatter brained summary. Missoula people were marcus, riley, evan, jere, ty, and me. the drive there was great until before the montana--wyoming border. there was quite a snow flurry going on and we had to go 40mph max on the highway. the roads were clear after sheridan though and it was smooth sailing from there. we dropped marcus off in ft collins so he could chill with his lady friend all weekend and it was off to denver for the rest of us.
there's always a bit of a culture shock when going to big cities. the biggest building in missoula is 11 stories
we went straight to the brewery for the players party cause we arrived late and right when we parked there
was already a circle happening. I went inside and introduced myself to everyone. 95% of the players were people I hadn't met before. I was super tired so I wasn't feeling very sociable, but I managed to play a game of "two-square" with david clavens. After this, it was off to the hotel to check in and then down one of the hotel corridors to see people kicking. Jeremy Mirken is good at footbag. jere and i just watched him bust huge with our jaws hanging down for a good chunk of that night. I kicked with Luis and his brother Nelson a bit. I love playing with luis. i find myself in circles with him all of the time.
the next day was all about kicking. I played with evan gatesman quite a bit and he told me to give him a big 3 to do. I told him to hit blurrage>fairy opp whirl>ps whirl and he hit it no problem. a few minutes later during competition, he threw that one out there but added a rake to the ps whirl. I pretty much crapped my pants. that kid is too good at footbag (and one of my favorite css atendees). Lon hit marius>mobius>mobius for the sickest sick 3 i have ever witnessed. Jere held his own in rippin run and had a lengthy battle against david clavens. evan had a phatty shred 30 as well. Chicago is cool. I love kicking with the chicago kids. shawn boyle was fun to play with. I've been anxious to meet him since evan played down there and also since he sent me a pm for the chicago jam. little chicago side note: tim werner got wasted and plastered the hotel hallway walls with his dinner
I played with Mirken a little bit and his bags are amazing. I immediately purchased one of them afterwards.
that night was hotel foursquare night. saturdays foursquare was the hilight of the entire tournament for me. there were too many players and so it evolved into doubles foursquare. Emily asked me if I wanted to be her partner. that's when "Team Green" arrived on the scene. I mostly just tried to snake Penske and get Goldberg out. Emily was the true foursquare player holding it down. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have ever made it to the king's square. It was sooo fun. I loved arguing, hack-offs, and messing with people.
having an attractive partner was a plus too 
it went on until the security finally kicked us out. Emily is a very interesting, chill, and fun person to talk with. she also has a very smooth and solid style. when I went back to the room, ty had purchased a bottle of courvasier and we sipped on that all weekend. I couldn't stop laughing though because rap videos are the only place i'd actually seen courvasier.
The final day. we had to leave at 2pm and so we started warming up right when we got there. I kicked with Luis, Nelson, Riley, Emily, and Mike Hansen (i hope i spelled it right and it's not hanson or something). Mike was someone that I wish I would've talked to more, but the opportunity never came up. I couldn't think of anything to talk about when I was in a circle with him. David joined one of the circles and his first string just absolutely blew me away. he is good at footbag. this was also the day that we whored out flyers for the jam. the hotel printed the flyers for free
after this, it was time for our premature departure
there were a lot of people I didn't kick with much that I would have liked to: david clavens, ken somolinos, sam coclough, ashley danowski, dat, Mirken, and a couple chicago kids. hopefully we will all meet again and play.
