Thursday 23rd Movember
Length:
1 hour

So all day I'm like... yeah.... rest night tonight. Been hella busy all week. Working and then spending all night editing videos of various discriptions (one that's viewable here !shameless plug!). Tonight was rest night. Then I got the urge to shred :D

Drilled whirls a lot. Lots of different drills. Cleaned my form up a bit on flipside. I have alright consistency but my form isn't quite right, so stepping from flipside whirl is pretty hard... should be fixed soon. This will also make pdx whirl much easier on flip, currently it's extremely awkward.

Hit gyo bubba. That was cool.

mobius first try... good for me. I haven't done much torque action yet. Footed flip mobius about 8 times. hit porque also, another hard move for me.

decided flailing drifter > ps whirl > void would be a sweet as sick3. Highly doubt I can hit that, but would like to hit the first link.

All round good sesh. Just good to shred, really. Need to discipline to do that more.

Kickassss weekend with ednie. Played about 2 hours saturday and 5 on sunday.

Worked a lot on whirls, spinning, ducking, eggbeaters and symp atomic. Had some great runs etc of course.

What I can remember:
Ducking Butterfly > Ducking Butterfly rpt
awesome symp whirling pdx mirage, high set was good.
fury. booya!! so happy with that.
flailing mirage bs
bubba beater bsos
eggbeater bsos twice in one string
some awesome (for me) ducking runs
footed atomic grifter 3-4 times, once it literally just rolled off my foot, I was so close. Soon :)
Crispy Torque > Tombstone
Backside omellete
ducking osis > diving osis bs

I'm sure there's heaps more, i can't remember though.

Was so awesome having Dan up for the weekend. It forced me into a style of training I like, and haven't really done much until now... usually I just drill.

A lot of improvement over the weekend, Dan gave me some awesome tips and just playing with someone else encouraged me to work more on spinning and ducking, which is good.

Dan worked a lot on symple swirls, butterfly swirls, eggbeaters, tomahawk, fairies a bit.

Monday 27th Movember
Length:
50 mins
Drilled: Whirl, Clipper, Spinning, Ducking.

Wow. I can spin and duck people!!

So glad I pushed myself to play tonight, I was so close to not playing. And only stopped because it got dark. A phone call prevented me from starting in time to fit an hour in before sundown

Spinning and ducking were so much better tonight.

diving clipper > ducking clipper rpt - 8 contacts
infinity > spinning clipper rpt - about 10 contacts

I've cleaned my flipside clipper form up a tad thanks to Jorden's advice (you rule) and that's helped my spinning and ducking I think. They're still not highly stringable but I've seen so much improvement in the last 2 days. My ducks are really tight too. I'm not sure how high they are, but they're real close to my neck on the sides and they're definately neck ducks not head ducks.

Spinning is clean on flipside, I think. Would need to video to be totally sure. They still stray of course a little sometimes but there's a lot of straight ones too, they'll improve. Hit some awesome spinning pdx mirages bsos. Real tight. Hit some awesome void's, ones that I could be proud of. I've hit void heaps of times but my spin was always terrible so it wasn't anything amazing, this I can be proud of :D

I love footbag so much right now. My string length/variety is improving too. I feel so good about the future.

Thursday 30th Movember
Length:
1 hour
Drilled: BOPs, Ducking, Whirl, Eggbeater.

Bit of improvement on whirls... body position still needs work, I'm not centered over the bag at all :( Worked a bit on fixing my flipside clipper position too, it will get there eventually.

Ducking was great... had an awesome ducking run with about 10 ducking tricks in it. diving clipper > ducking clipper rpt a bunch of times.

Eggbeaters a little better, they're tiresome though. Moving slowly. Need to film them, compare them with Ales', and work out what he does :)

combo of the day:

osis > grifter > spinning clipper

hopefully shredding again tomorrow night. Maybe saturday. No way in hell sunday

edit:

HOLY HELL the big day out lineup this year is off TAP! I'm so going. Seriously, go to www.bigdayout.com and check out the lineup and you'll be jealous you're not aus/NZ, unless you are, in which case, go buy a damn ticket!!

Although you probably won't fully appreciate it even then, there's a bunch of awesome australian bands on there too.

So last night, rave at Kryal Castle, rocked hard. Had an awesome night, so tired now. Slept for 2 hours in the middle of it all... so weak :(

Drug presence was ridiculous, the guys camping next to us were taking charges of GHB which is an absolutely shocking drug apparantly, and judging by the behaviour of one of the guys a few minutes later... yeah, he was off the freaking planet. They offered us some casually the next morning... we're like er, no thanks. Apparantly at least 2 people blew out on it through the night... why do people do this to themselves. Must have been a lot of e as well, judging by how many water bottles were left afterwards, and how few alcoholic cans were about. Speaking of, cans of usually cheap beer were $7, disgusting. And they wonder why we smuggle in booze.

I got preeeetty plastered before I went in... had jager bombs using pulse (energy drink + vodka). They're 7% already and then we put jager in them.... I have a lot of gaps from the early part of the night. Which I sort of regret, but the second half was great and I remember all that, so it's all good. Sunrise set was maaaaad, danced my little toosh off it was sick. Also caught a CD that DJ Mark Sherry (better known as part of Public Domain) woo! Listening to that right now.

Rave pants are funny.

My breath smells weird, not like usual after a night out.

Oh yeah, funniest thing happened. Must've hit the pulse jager bombs too hard because I threw up on the way up to the entrance... and this cop car comes out of NOWHERE and speeds right up to me, freaked me out something shocking. The guy jumps out and literally says "What you got in your pockets? Pills?" I'm like geez man, no, I'm just smashed. He must've smelt the alcohol cause he got straight back in the car and drove off haha. Gold. Cops so don't care about booze at these events.

Yeah, sick night, definately worth the effort/cost (which didn't end up too much in the end)

Real tired now though. Gonna go brush my teeth I think. Cheerio.

Raves are cool

I am going to go see dj mark dynamix (ministry of Sound) in a couple of weeks. I am going to be peakin so crazily.

People do drugs because they are fun. Just like how you drink your jager bombs to have fun.

Keep shreddin big guy.

Sick, hope that goes well. There was pretty much no house at this one, which is cool, different to what I usually listen to. I would love to go to a quality house event though.

Yeah, I was referring more to GHB which looks fairly brutal by all accounts. I definately understand why people do the other usual drugs. Not my thing though. And Jager bombs taste remarkably like bubblegum, which isn't to be underestimated.

Yeah i have heard some bad things about it to. i think its called fantasy. I have never tried it myself dont think i will. I think it is more of a depressant than a party drug.

Monday 4th December
Length:
1 hour 30 minutes
Drilled: Whirl, Ducking

siiiick session. Only was going to play for an hour because I need sleep these days... but it was going so well I couldn't stop at an hour. Not that an hour and a half is much more...

Worked whirl and ducking a lot, as well as general runs etc. Drilled BOPs and as usual got really high contacts on all the drills... so happy with my BOP game at the moment. got something like 150 osii I think but wasn't counting, or even concentrating... was listening to the interview on the radio more :P

Whirl body position still needs a lot of work. My flipside clipper is just in the wrong position, since Jorden enlightened me it's all I can see! Oh well.

Ducking was alright, just more general improvement.

Was also super happy with run length/variety. Just feeling better these days... I'm almost satisfied with it :)

New moves:

Far Symple Rev Swirl
Rev Swirling Osis (twirl?)
Spinning PS Whirl (Whirlwind or Whirlygig? Whirlwind, right?)

Very Close to/Footed:

Symp Rev Swirling Osis
Ducking Symp Rev Swirl
Reverse Void and Reverse Vortex

Unbelievably close to Reverse Void. Footed it a few times. It's actually easier than rev vortex... Could have persisted and hit it but I was wasting good shred time.

Ended the session on such a high note. I've said before "After this I almost collapsed" but this time I literally did collapse.

Rubberman x2

I've been working for this for so long... It feels so good to have finally hit it.

Tuesday 5th December
Length:
1 hour
Drilled: BOPs, Whirl, Ducking.

All the usual... ducking still feeling awesome. Whirl was ticking me off tonight... my lack of proper body positioning is super annoying, I think I need help. Well, I'll be in Melbourne in a week and a half :)

Wanted to shred for an hour and a half, but then my shins started hurting bad for some reason. Haven't had shin pain for a while now so that sucks... also I stubbed my toe trying reverse vortex :/ It still hurts a bit...

So I wanted to shred bad the last few days, but couldn't. Been sick :( Had one crappy day at work, a day off, then another crappy day at work. Wish I'd taken 2 days off... :/

But I got fabric this week :) AND I won a ticket to big day out... and tickets were sold out, so I'm SUPER STOKED about that. I CANNOT wait, the lineup is insane!! So many awesome artists.

www.bigdayout.com

> Lineup

You'll be amazed ;) Some of the bands are awesome aussie bands, if you don't recognise them.

Anyway.... facile:

Had 1 one hour sesh last week. Acheived nothing. I remember there was something I was going to say about it, but don't remember what... mostly it was unsuccessful, but at least I played :)

This weekend I stayed down in Melbourne.

Friday: 1 hour 30 min shred. Some sweet runs, some awesome moves, couple new ones.

flip double dyno
gyro grifter :!:

I think that was it. All on cam too.

Saturday: 1 hour 30 min shred. Played crap for the first half, second half was alright. Hit a couple of good runs towards the end.

Sunday: 1 hour shred. First string was so tight :D But I was late and only ended up shredding for 20 mins before we moved to alexandria gardens for takraw. We had one extra player, I was thirsting for some shred (game was on) and honestly, I don't really care about net beyond a bit of fun. So I shredded on my own

It was good. Worked on some stuff... got 59 contacts of osis > far osis rpt. Not sure if that's a pb or not. It's not massive for me. Then I worked on some ducking and grifters, mostly flipside. Flip grifter improved a fair bit, basically I 'worked it out'.

Toe grifter bsos. Happy with that.

Also worked on blizzards a bit... a problematic move for me, I just need to spend a couple of hours working on it and it will be all good.

Was gonna stitch tonight but I think I'll end up being too lazy. Or not, we'll see.

Calling Jen from training tonight to organise a time for dinner, which she agreed to on friday :) Go me. I hope this works out, she's really cool.

Lates.
