Happy birthday to me, I'm 23
I haven't shredded in almost a month, but I have played freestyle footbag for about 2 hrs a day.
I'm gunna go eat some pizza and cake and open my presents, then sleep and wait for santa to arrive. Should be fun.

Why is it called the newyears jam if it isn't over new years??? Maybe next year you should call it the spite rochester jam.

I liked that last vid you put out nate. The part I was really mesmorized with was when you were doing mirages with water to the left , right, and inbetween each cement block...ballsy !! Also, the new years jam, is new years jam, it's just how it is ! It's a 2 day event, but for me it's about a 5 day event and I make it all the way through new years. We'd prolly call it the spite rochester jam, but since it's been held so many years now, I doubt they'll rename it.

haha ok starkster! I'm down.

I still do freestyle... A lot! I just don't shred much these days. Maybe once a week and about ten minutes a day. There is a HUGE difference between freestyle and shred in my book... Maybe one day the footbag comunity will come to know them once again. However, after checking all the impressive vids in december, maybe not. My humble camera will do what it can in the coming month to show what I've been working on.
My sister is in town, so filming has been out as she takes up the best shred room. I live in a new house now, which will be featured soon. I also got a still camera and will be posting some pics in all those sweet-ass post your blank threads.
I've been making some amazing fruit smoothies of late and I got a killer yoga video that has been making me happy. I just deposited my bi weekly 500 buck check. Most of wich went to my student loan. It doesn't really bother me to think how many of my checks will be going to the partieing I did in college. It just makes me smarter. I still have my beautifull glass after all... That thread needs a bump ;]
I took a vacation to portland with my girl person last weekend. It was nice. Lots of window shopping and lots of coffee, and driving around just to drive. We stayed in this "hotel" which was more like an apartment. $65 a night, no tax, full kitchen with food, front and back yard, cable, internet... Just unreal what you can find when you are lucky. Makes what I thought was AMAZING in Seattle look like a best western. Full kitchen is now a must for any hotel I stay at.
Good to know some folks were thinkning of me at a footbag thingy. I'll make it out to more jams in a few years. I'm gunna be in this game for a long time ya know, no hurry. My homade pizza is ready.

My fingers are bleeding.

I am awaiting my friend to play his hour spot on the radio, my lovely girly person is sleeping, Groundhog day, my favorite movie, is playing and I am now realizing it is groundhogs day(I need to watch the news more), and I am enjoying the sight of an empty bottle of sake. (sounded sokee).
I don't get drunk anymore though I try every now and then. The sun rise was killer this morning. So much red, wish I had a camera. The coffee owner recognized us, that was nice. My fingers are bleeding.

So footbag and life have united again, or for the first time, I'm not sure yet. I want to scream at the top of my lungs the new style/genre/less-ness I have been skooling, but you won't dig it anyway. Lets just say easy can be cool. Have I mentioned groundhogs day is a cool movie.

I still shred. Hit scorpions tail x2 the other day... SNOOZE!!! I shred so my lady can see my abs, I freestyle when I wanna challange myself. To quote the second coming, "maybe you'll get in in a few years".

I have refound my beloved guitars. And to be honest, simple Kicks ASS!!! I am falling back in love with basic, recognizable tunes that I laughed at in the last few years of my life. It is amazing how the basic things are what turns heads, and c reat the most satisfaction. The simple things can be made uniquie and amazingly talentful. Suck on that shredheads.

I don't write well. I like my job, but its not my life. Maybe one day my life will be my job. But not today... Today I have a drink, a girl, a hobby, some debt, some memories, and some people that read my blog. Chears if you read this, props if you skimmed it, mega props if you didn't read and reply ~fuck you~.

Sadly I am finding I need a few more weeks and maybe months before my new "experimental video", as some people call em, is ready. I prefer to call them anti-shred vids

I need some more skooling before I'm ready to release anything. Just rewatch some of my old stuff if you are really hurting for something besides leg flails between clipper and toe stallz, girlies.

I made a set list of cover songs I know, its big and needs to be bigger.

After trieing to reinvent the word "freestyle" I almost literaly took 4 months off. Well after a fun session with Riley and James a week ago I had 4 warm up/training sessions to help shake the rust off. This past thursday I had a session on campus and my gf alex came down and stuck the camera on me for 20 mins. Footbag is like riding a bike. Expect a real vid in the next few weeks.

The sesh at Saturday market was a good one. We ended up kicking for a couple of hours. until my shins couldn't take it anymore. I feel much more confident about my shred at the Saturday market than the turf session the other day. Aaron and I definitely turned some heads at the session. For the first time I hit 10 unique tripless to a 20-contact guiltless routine. I like drawing that sort of attention to freestyle footbag.

There was this one guy who could do 10 contacts kickless/dropless. He said Aaron, James and I were the best freestylers he had seen in person. I wish I could live here again to promote the Eugene footbag scene and get it active again.

I still have that 'fourkast-fourteen' footbag for you, Nate. PM me your address and I'll try to get it in the mail before too long. Who knows, maybe I'll send you a postcard from the field too.
