I was thinking about how I could wrap up CSS7 and tell everyone about it, but I think listing a bunch of shit I saw hit and talking about competition really doesn't personally benefiet me. I think an overview of how CSS made me feel is a way better thing for me personally, but maybe not for others. If you feel like hearing about cool combos, I dont think this is what you'll want to read.

Sitting back and thinking about the past few days really made me reflect on footbag and what it means to me. It made me think about all the people, all of my friends. I have so many memories that I really can't even put it all down. It all just blends to an incredible weekend.

I feel like for the first time I really hung out with people. Normally I'm all play play play, but this time I just did stupid stuff and enjoyed it. Barefoot sessions, walking around, sitting in rooms. I really feel like the people made this tournament. I dont care that I won or that I hit good stuff or played bad or good, I'm just happy I spent time with the people that really mean a lot to me.

I left CSS really sad. It's so unfair that all the people I love I only see a few times a year. Dropping Barnes off at his house really made me realize how much of a friend he had become in only 2 days. Saying goodbye to everyone just made me feel like I was returning to some kind of psuedo existance. I feel like I live from jam to jam, because that's the times in my life that I really love being alive. It's silly how much footbag means to me, and how much I truly enjoy just being around footbag players.

On the other hand, I do regret somethings. I regret being so serious when I played, I regret not spending time with certain people. But I think at tournaments its hard to see everyone, and I think i did a pretty good job of distrubuting my hang out time.

As far as level of play goes, so many people impressed me. Just really consistant high level play. We may not be as good as Europe, but I think it's only a matter of time until we are.

CSS made me really think about my game, and how I want to play. But overall I feel satisfied that I have a good base to go off of, and now can really stretch into other areas.

I want to thank everyone who hosted this, everyone who came, and everyone who showed me the kindness that is always prevalent in footbag and its players. I'm really glad I went.

I like reading a lot of posts in your blog. You spend more time presenting your emotions and analyzing situations than just bitching about this and that or bragging about a certain move you hit. It really is one of the most enjoyable blogs I've seen, and I always leave feeling like I learned a little something-- sorta like reading a good poem or watching a good movie.

with emphasis on the "butt." heh. Some constructive criticism b/c i know you like it. *I* think that your atomic/tapping and quantum sets need to be performed a bit more out in front of you rather than under you, which is what i saw in this vid. Maybe it is just that this vid showcased some under-you shred, b/c I don remember thinking that when we kicked togehthr at CSS. In any case, think about where the bag is in relation to your body during atomic and quantum and determine whether you're too far over the bag. The vid was nice, long strings, i dodnt know you could surge at all! Sweet on that. More variety please.

this is exactly how I feel at the end of footbag events, always. Props on doing so well in competition. I look forward to playing again.

Well my loyal readers, today marks a big day in the life of yours truly, the Cleaver aka Tahoe aka The One True Gonz.

If you've been slacking off on your stalking duties (where were you last night?!), I work at a grocery store right up the street in my hood. Its called Giant. Anyway I am a service associtae, which is a fancy name for someone who bags and does cashier type shit. Anyway, last month they had this thing at my store and it was like a best bagger contest. So basically you had to bag all this junk as fast as you could and the winner got 50 bucks. So i thought hey, i could use some cash money for my bitches, so I entered, but pretty much just as a joke.

Anyway, I ended up winning. I did all of it in like 57 seconds or something. Which isn't great, but it won. So anyway the next thing is the district bagging contest, which is all the stores in the area. AND THATS TODAY! IN AN HOUR! So its kinda funny because I had to like pratice and shit last night with the manager because he has some bet with the other store that I'll win. Its 12 stores in total which equals 12 people including me. So I guess I could get skooled, or I could own people. I hit 43 seconds last night which is pretty phat.

If I win today, i get $125 and go onto the regionals in Hershey. I really doubt that will happen, but I'd like to get 2nd which is $75. Its kinda funny how I got into this as a joke and now am going to frikken districts for it. I dont know, kinda silly, but if I win it'll be more cash and a chance to win even more shit. Idk, part of me feels like a dork, part of me thinks its kinda funny/cool. Anyway, I will report back in a few hours when all is said and done. Wish me luck!

YOU KNOW HOW I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
