footbag is fun. i messed around with pelvis placement today. bringing my pelvis forward a bit seems to lower my center of gravity and seems to make most things a little easier. also messed around a lot with trying to plaly as lightly as possible. although it felt pretty awkward, it actually increased my string length and endurance. yay

I feel like i've done a lot of bitching my past few posts but this will hopefully be the last for awhile. This has been a super f'ed up week so far.

Mikey, this freshman in high school that is a part of our footbag group, has slight leukemia. it is curable, but his mom is in a tight financial spot. we have decided to focus this coming montana freestyle jam as a fundraiser for him. he went through some surgery yesterday and I believe is starting treatment soon.

I had a fever of a little over 103F yesterday and went to the campus health center. I tested negative for both influenza and mono which is good. I do have a virus though and they gave me some corticosteroids. I took one and immediately felt pretty much healed. I'm feeling great now and even kicked footbag today. Not 100% yet but i'll just take it easy.

the property management company that we go through had to go bankrupt because the owner slowly stiphened funds and made out with a little over $300,000. we won't get convicted but a lot of people are getting fucked over. she's going to be caught up in legal ramifications for probably the next few years due to the fact that what she did is illegal.

am looking forward to kicking on our regular weekly session tomorrow. my endurance will be shot but everything is feeling slow and controlled lately. still drilling the hell out of downtime components/spins/ducks like I have for the past year straight. It's funny though. i'd thought it'd be getting old by now but i'm loving it. I think i had an epiphany about flip fairy set which may change a lot in my game. i'll just have to wait and see if it's correct.

peace

school's been absolutely crazy. I pulled a few consecutive all-nighters studying and doing papers. When I could finally go to bed, I had troubles falling asleep which was weird. I tried having a face to face conversation with my mom and I was sooo out of it. she got the sickness that I had along with pneumonia, ?portrusis?, influenza, and laryngitis. she'll be okay in the long run, but it's still pretty scary.

I finished one mid-term today and finished a mid-term paper. Have another test at 1 in my use and abuse of drugs class. it should be very easy.

today is our weekly kicking session. yay!

My roomate threw away some old pants of his the other day. I recovered them from the trash and sewed up the leg. They are the most comfortable pants. I've been living in them ever since.

I took the last of my medication last night 8)

can't wait till MFJ. i still have to write up a description for the journeys thread. half of it is idaho info. lol

Can't wait till the Idaho jam. I love hanging out with Penske and Daryl. Good times had by all.

Byrin anything but sucks at ducks. last year I saw him hit ducking scorpions tail. I heard he hit it both sides that day. He also hits spikehammer bs in one of his videos. **I hope you're reading this ** :P

played today. worked on downtime elements even more. hit two new drills: dlo>paradon>drifter>rpt, diving butter>ducking butter>ducking osis>rpt. been throwing lots of torques into my strings. had one run yesterday with four sets of bsos torques and bsos pdx torque.

still bopping like a maniac. had a 96 contact bop run last night with riley.

I have horrible luck with getting things off of the internet. 90% of everything i've ordered off of the internet has ran into some problem where I lose money and never receive what I ordered

YEAH SPRING BREAK!!!!

I had absolutely nothing to do today, so I drilled spins for about 3 hours. it was fun. my roomate joined in. he was throwing down inside kick gyro outside kicks and a lot of kick>in-gyro kicks. spinning was feeling godo. gyro felt the best it ever has. closed with a fun link: gyro mirage>toe whirl>rpt. hit gyro symp mirage for the first time. spinning is sooooooo fun.

played footbag with ben and jere today. focused entirely on spins and gyro, my new favorite concept. finally hit flip vortex, which I wasn't expecting because i've never hit strong vortex. it was flip gyro and flip drifter. still trying to make spin clip>gyro clip>rpt as consistent as humanly possible. hit it a few times. had one string that I was super stoked about. it started with gyro clip>spin clip>rpt and bsos spin butter, bsos spin mirage, bsos merkon, and ended with spin osis>spin osis>blender>barfly>pass.

on friday i'm going to be giving a demo to three different gym classes at Frenchtown high school. and another three classes the following week. should be fun. their gym classes are 1.5 hours long each so lots of footbag will be going down in Frenchtown, MT.

played all day yesterday doing demos for the Frenchtown High School P.E. classes. it was a blast. we covered three periods, each lasting an hour and a half. every kid had a blast and kicked in a circle. one girl though.........she messed up her toe doing kicks. it was specifically the toe that would be the pointer finger. it pointed straight up 8O there is no doubt in my mind that she will never kick a footbag again.

We kicked for awhile after their school got out:
vortex bsos
smoke bsos (first time :) )
gyro dlo>symp paradon
sealed a string with superfly

it really sucks being the only one to write in this blog. i've been slowly losing incentive to write in here and I've contemplated letting this blog die for quite awhile. this blog may be no more

played about six hours of footbag on friday 8O

we had to do demos for three gym classes in Frenchtown again last friday. their periods are an hour and a half. we then kicked at the university afterwards.

my new shoes arrived and i wore them for a few days and modded them last night. i'm gonna wear them to hike up mt. sentinel after work. what better way to try breaking them in and dirtying them up. they're way too white for my liking.

I played with Riley yesterday after a few days off. spinning feels great in my new shoes. hit two new moves in the same string. it started with gyro diving butter and ended with gyro diving osis. later i got ducking osis>gyro diving osis which felt neat.

nice work on mobius. i think its really cool that you are doing demo's at schools. thats what greg nelson does (www.flyingaces.com) he also does frisbee and snakeboarding during the show. there is a chance that i might be doing a portion of the show with greg.

hope we can kick again soon.
