Well it's time to update!

Had a couple of shred sessions the last couple of days. TWO today! Thursday was the first day I kicked since saturday. I haven't kicked 'cause my knee has been acting up  .

Highlights (today):

rev whirl bs and bsos, my strongside rev whirl is weak. Got some good
practice on it today.
far rev whirl strongside, footed it twice, couldn't seal
far dyno, sealed with far rev whirl and dyno in run
Crispy flip torque, sealed with infinity

diving butter > ducking butter > osis > ss butter > far rev whirl
ducking butter > op butter > rip
weak rev whirl > op butter > rev whirl > osis > rip > rip
far rev whirl > dyno > ss butter > rip
far dyno > far rev whirl > rev whirl > osis > blurry rev whirl
infinty > op butter > torque > ss butter > rip > dyno > torque drop
torque > op butter > rev whirl

There's others but I can't remeber them

NEW MOVE ALERT!!!
Wauxspin! mid string sealed with ripwalk and ducking butter in run

Had a little session today, maybe a half an hour. Basically to work on my weak rev whirl on my strongside

Highlights:
Weak rev whirl: I think I got the timing down pretty close for I can hit them more easily

Symposium Far Rev Whirl 8O 8) : Took me 3 tries then I got it and sealed it with a far rev whirl and rev whirl

infinity > osis > infinity > infinty > osis > infinity > infinity > rpt

just had a good run, I hit what I was trying to and then some :!:

rev whirl > symp far rev whirl > dyno > osis > ss butter > rip

Last edit for today:

rev whirl > symp far rev whirl > dyno > ss butter > blurry rev whirl > rev whirl > far rev whirl drop

ducking osis > symp far rev whirl > osis > symp far rev whirl

Those symp far rev whirls are a fun move to hit, when I first hit I was like 8O , I even said "what the.." right after I hit it and sealed it.

Hey Josh.

Just wanted to say I liked your Sick3 submission for May. I envy your step sets out of osis, I suck at those. A few more random comments.

*atomic opp butterfly is called legbeater.
*ripwalk-ripwalk x6 means you hit 12 ripwalks. To avoid confusion, you can say things like: "I hit 6 contacts of ripwalk-ripwalk."
*good to hear you are skooling your bops. Remember to skool pdx mirage. Your clippers look real solid, but a balance between toes and clippers ultimately leads to more fun, and a better looking game.

Keep up the good work.

Ken, thanx for the comments. Sorry for the confusion there, thanx for clearing that up.

June 26th

Had a pretty good session. Again with lots of rev whirl stuff thrown in.

Highlights:

rev whirl bs, weak rev whirl is as consistent as my strong
symp far rev whirl, more consistent, one side though
weak far rev whirl, footed a couple of times, never sealed
symp blurry rev whirl, footed once!!!!

I had some good runs I threw together but I don't remember any of them

I kicked a little today, maybe 30 min. nothing too big or long. For some reason it was really really hot in my house today, so that kept my to a mini session.

One highlight, I hit symp far rev whirl with all the bags I own, thats 9 bags and 9 SFRW's in a row!!

Maybe some more kicking tomorrow, who knows!

Kicked a little today. Nothing to serious, I wore my baggy b-ball shorts, so I decided to work a little dexless.

Highlights:
flip ducking clip: looking better, it's easier to do now.
flip diving clip: needs more work, but is getting there.
osis > osis 30x give or take a couple.
zulu clip: easier to do now, thanx Ken fo suggesting that move!
peeking clip
spinning butter
spinning mirage

with dex's
weak rev whirl: getting stronger
weak far rev whirl: footed a couple of times
weak symp rev whirl: got it twice, sealed once with ducking clip
and zulu clip
weak symp far rev whirl: gave it a try, not even close
gyro ss butter
gyro ss mirage
gyro rev whirl
gyro dyno

Thats about it for today, I'll probably have another bag done today and I'll get pics posted when I do get it done.

Today I kicked twice. Once at my Dad's friends house, and then again after we got home.

Highlights:
(Friends House)
flip ripwalk: worked on form, definately better than before
flip blur: got a couple of times, need to work form more
zulu: worked form and consistency, also got zulu butter a couple of times.
flip blur > op butter > blur: 8O

(Home)
flip ripwalk: worked more on form
atomics: worked on form, did hit atomic ss butter and legbeater
pixies: worked on form and consistency
butter > diving butter > ducking butter > osis > zulu butter
diving butter > ducking butter > osis > ss butter > rip > dyno
butter > torque > op butter > osis
torque > ripwalk drop: so close to stepping out of my torques 8)
symp mirage > dimwalk drop
ripped warrior: worked on getting a higher set, got a couple of close tries to hitting it again, needs more work tho 8)

Thats it for today. I'll probably kick more tomorrow after klass. I still need to get my demonstrative speech set up. I can do that tomorrow before, after or while kicking. I love having my shred area in front of my computer :!:

Josh,

Hey! Great job on your kickin as usual. Symp rev whirls are sweet! I used to do that on my strong side. I should try to get it back. Symp blurry rev whirl? Damn. You didn’t plant your stepping leg? Wow that must be tough. Good job on the spins, gryo & peeking. Those are cool to add to your runs. Plus it helps give some much need breathing time for us mere mortals. Good to hear you are throwing some pixie’s & atomic’s in your game! Keep at it. Work on mirages & illusions. They are so helpful. I have been skoolin consecutive mirages & illusions a lot. There is so much to practice & so little time. One thing I have learned over the years is to keep consistant & practice something like 2’s or simple 3’s so that you can keep improving at any kind of pace. Keep putting add’s on your shoes like Ken Somolinos would say. Keep at it, this works for any sport or hobby. Yeah I know, duh it is obvious but I always think about practicing more then I practiced. I should have kicked this hard back in 1998.

Your ankle crank is amazing so your cross body stuff should not be a problem. Have you hit whirl yet? Oh yeah nice job on the 30 osises! I can still only get about 12 or so. Wauxspin nice! We will have to compare next time we kick! We will try to kick at the end of this week or next! Let’s try to get Nate, Steven, & Victor out to kick to! I will keep you informed.

Shred on!
Mike Jauss
-almost guiltless-
-more fiber = longer runs!

I hope we do kick soon, it's been too long damnit!

Had a little session today. My house is way to hot to keep going, so I put the bag down somewhere between the 30 - 40 min mark.

Highlights:
legbeater: more consistent, by far my only toe move I got
atomic ss butterfly: needs more work by I did seal it all the times I hit it!
dimwalk: once, my pixies need alot of work! !
legbeater > rip > blur > symp mirage
legbeater > osis > osis > dyno > rev whirl > something
atomic ss butter > duckin clip > dyno
diving butter > ducking butter > osis > zulu clip > dyno
blur > butter > stepping ss mirage > op butter > blur
butter > infinity > osis > op osis > infinity > infinity > osis > op osis> rpt
weak far rev whirl: got it a couple of times
far rev whirl > weak far rev whirl: got it once!

Got a new bag done today, it's gonna replace my old Lesh bag. Nice colors to it, soft and already partially broken-in!

It's the little one on the right!

Yesturday I said I wasn't gonna play today, but I did!

Highlights:
Blender!: Don't know what came over me to try it, fourth try and I got it, sealed with butter and rip. Took me another 10 tries to get it again!
ducking butter > rip > ss butter > rip > ducking clip > rip
ducking butter > rip > ss butter > diving butter > zulu clip
diving butter > ducking butter > ss butter > infinty > osis > op osis >
infinity > blur drop
clip > infinity > rip > ss butter > rip > rip > osis > far rev whirl
rev swirl > rev whirl > infinity > rev whirl > osis
clip > far rev whirl > rev whirl > osis > symp far rev whirl > infinity >
blurry rev whirl

Well thats enough for today, time to get my demonstrative speech finished up!

I finished writing my speech, and went through it a couple of times. After that I had a little session mainly practicing my run at the end of my speech. I finally got the trick I've been trying for a week, symp blurry rev whirl! 8O 8)
When I first tried it today I hit it and then caught it. I was like HELL YA!!!! I tried it again and hit this run:
symp blurry rev whirl > osis > symp far rev whirl > osis > rip > osis > ducking clip drop :D
Nice little run if I do say so myself!

Had a little session yesturday, actually it was quite long! I can't really remember anything from it except, torque > torque > ss butter > rip. I started working my torques a little more yesturday and decided to try to get it b2b. It took me 5 tries before I got the run :D . Tomorrow I'm getting together with a couple of other shredders to kick for awhile. It'll be great to kick with others. I'm bored kicking by myself!

Alright yesturday was GREAT! Got together with Mike and a couple of others at Encanto Park, and we kicked from 3 till about 7:30. Mike has really worked his flip clip and it shows. One of the new guys, Conrad, is really good. He has an effortless pixie set, and with that He can also hit Phoenix. It was kool to see that move hit in real life than in a vid. Conrad brought a couple of his friends with, they were mostly just circle kickers but towards the end of the seesion they started to try to get toe stalls and lo's. Nate (HighDemonslayer) also made it, he has some crazy spinning combos that's fun to watch!

I had a good session. Hit some good runs. I guess the best part of this shred was that I had two really good chances at ripped warrior. Both felt great, I got some advice from one of the threads about not forcing the set and it worked. I guess I'm gonna work'em this week to see if I can get a 5 add that I can hit on command!

Well I had a decent session before I decided I couldn't do a rev whirl and slightly sprained my left ankle!

Highlights: (Before sprain)
butter > dlo > butter > rip > infinity > spin clip
dlo > butter > spin clip
legbeater > osis > dlo > butter
legbeater > osis > ss butter > torque
butter > dlo > butter > dlo > butter > torque

For some kool reason my dlo's were on today and I was hitting them like nothing!

Well I'm done for one or two weeks. I think I might've pulled a muscle around my ankle/lower cald area

I did have a session today before I did what ever I did to do this. I was hitting dlo's again pretty easily, also had a good run: atomic ss butter > ss butter > rip > osis > ss butter > torque > infinity > osis > dlo > butter.

It was fun, then right after that I did an infinity run and thats where I did whatever I did to my leg. Ohh well, now I got the time and motivation to finish my recent bag, and watch some great shred footy!

later

Alright, it wasn't two weeks or even one. But I can shred again! I kicked awhile this morning and it felt good. Didn't do anything to worth while. I was mainly working on a sick 3 combo for the next online comps. I think I got a couple of them that I could do pretty easily.
