Im an artist, student, footbagger, baker.

I used to play cello, and one day hope to get back into it.

I grew up playing w/ puzzles, doing magic, collecting erasers, making paper airplains, playing lava, snowboarding, darts, playing soccer and basketball.... pretty much everything in the book.

David Clavens is my best friend, who I've known 0-present.

Ive had 2 cats in my lifetime.

I like to wear my hair up.

I'm not your average guy.

Childhood
- I'm named after my late Danish grandfather, Jorgen
- I'm left-handed/footed
- I learned to ride the bike when I was 7
- my parents separated when I was 10
- my All-Star little league team made it to the Canadian championships (I was a starting pitcher)
- I have my black belt in Olympic style Taekwon-Do
- I usually keep to myself and enjoy being alone
- I went through a fairly severe depression at age 11 (I didn't tell anyone)
- at age 13 I made it to the Provincial Spelling Bee Championships for my age division

Footbag
- I was overweight before I found footbag
- I learned most of my basics with unmodded Rod Lavers and a Kanga
- clipper took me 5 months to get consistent
- my first performance was my high school variety show in 2002
- I received a standing ovation
- in my 2nd competition I started off my intermediate routine with fairy ducking mirage
- Worlds 2004 was my first time competing in Open
- I came 10th
- I have never won the routines event at a footbag tournament -- no, seriously!!
- I've had only one dropless routine in competition
- I once spent 90 minutes in my garage in the middle of winter trying over and over to hit one move
- I managed to hit it -- it was ducking pdx blender
- I played 20 hours of footbag in 2 days once
- never had any injuries worth noting

Teenager --> Now
- footbag completely consumed my teenage life
- my dad makes me very miserable
- I only had one really good friend throughout high school -- he helped me through a lot
- I went to one school dance -- didn't dance with anybody, kicked a crocheted glow bag instead
- I don't have a driver's license or even a beginner's license
- I was given a small blanket at birth. I still sleep with it most of the time
- I'm afraid of approaching girls/have trouble keeping conversations with them
- I have never had a girlfriend, or even kissed a girl
- despite being a 'champ', I have low self-esteem
- I'm majoring in Math at University -- my main reason is (honestly) b/c I like finding out what all the weird symbols mean
- I haven't been to a party at University
- I want to be an entertainer for a living
- my mom is the most amazing person I have ever met
- she frequents modified and will probably read this post

Peace.

I am baffled at how open people are about their personal lives. I really can't beleive people talked about their romantic lives/personal hygiene/hating siblings/etc etc.

Maybe I'll gather up some balls.

I enjoyed Jordens, eriks, and henrys the most.

-i guess that means im a procrastinator
-im optimistic about everything except my personal abilities most of the time
-i think that the main reason ive only had one girlfriend is the fact i grew up 100% a nerd, and now that im not so much, that the nerd in me has decided to make me stray away from flirtation and affection even though i like it.
-i too was really over weight as a young kid growing up, killing my self esteem i think, but i dont really remember much
- i once beat up my brother because he called me fat.
-colby jack cheese is my favorite
-my sleep schedule since ive been to college is REALLY messed up, i wake up at around 11am and sleep at around 4 or 5 depending on whats on T.V.
- at night i religously watch adult swim and south park
-i wish i had more me time
-i like to cook, and consider myself a good cook
-i footbag with jim penske and daryl genz almost everyday (2 to 4 times a week)
-i used to collect coins
-i tricked one of my classmates into thinking a "pedometer" is a device that measures where all the pedophiles are in the world.
-im so insanely against drugs that i will attack like a rabid wolf if you try to force them on me in a peer pressuristic way.
- i consider weed a drug
- im against alcohol because i think it tore my family apart, but the amount of people that drink is staggering enought that i dont care about it that much, but still refuse to drink it.
-one time i said LOL in a public setting...in a college class room...on accident and got laughed at

i think thats enough for now

- I have a psychiatrist tested IQ of 162.

- I once threw up a whole bottle of sweet chilli sauce for no money (in about 3 seconds).
- I've used a large variety of different drugs, but never very often.
- Occasionally I get very self destructive and push myself far too hard - examples of this include running until I throw up and playing footbag for 11 hours in one day. These events almost always follow bad events in my life and a desire to feel alive.
- 5 of my classmates from school are dead.
- 2 more are in jail, one for murder.
- My favourite animal is spiders.
- I have an irrational hate for people I see kill spiders, probably in the same way they have an irrational fear of spiders.

- I get bored talking about footbag.
- I am a member of The Flat Earth Society.

- I struggle to take anything seriously, and often laugh at very inappropriate times.

I am passionate about computers
I am equally passionate about seeking happiness.
I like beer.
I like fantasising about my future.
I live in Singapore and I can't wait to move back to melbourne to find a place to live and get a job.
I have a fear for cockroaches and moths.
I have a totally bizarre urge to cultivate marijuana.
I'm quite tall (185 - 190cm) and I'm very thin (weight like 60kg).
I havn't properly been able to play footbag in over a year as a result of bad knees.
Unfortunately i get very annoyed at those who disagree with me.
I hate narrow-minded people.
My eyes change colour (blue and green and change between them in different parts of the iris and stuff).
I like music.
I once skolled a 350ml bottle of sake.
I'm currently writing a chess program.
I've done heaps of IQ tests (of varying degrees of legitimacy) and my average is 142. Coincidentally the most recent one i did was 142 also.
I have ADD.
I think singapore is a totalitarian state.
I am usually very empathetic. At the same time, when I hold something against someone I can be quite a dickhead.
2004 is the year where some of my best memories lie.
I hate stubborn people.
I recently got my braces off, but i feel wearing a retainer is worse.
I am very confident and believe in my own abilities, yet I am often shy and self concsious about the way I come across as a person.
I am struggling to think of anything interesting to say yet there is so much to say.
In many regards I am very well coordinated (spinning books, footbag, parkour) but alot of the time i'm a big unco.
I am extremely dedicated - almost obsessive, about things I like.

hmm thats all.

OH, i miss footbag :(:(:(
Oh when I embarass myself, i don't get over it - and i embarass myself easily.

This is such a great thread, I keep finding myself thinking about it alot..

More about me..

- I am very afraid of dark rooms when I am alone, not at all when anyone else is present (even my cat)
- for years I was deathly afraid of seeing a UFO out my window so I would twist the blinds in a way that let me look down but not up
- I am very afraid of ghosts, but I am not sure what about them scares me
- Religion and religious people really frustrate me. I don't have the motivation to say all the things I want to say to the worlds religious people, and it wouldnt matter anyways since they are dead set on their crazy ways.
- I have really great parents, I think I said this before but it's still really true and pertinent
- I try so hard to follow through on the abundance of passion I feel for life
- I sometimes want everyone to love me and make a big deal about me... but then when I finally get that I hate it so much and run away
- Very often I am inclined to just be alone and think
- I am extremely selective about who I hang out with, luckily I have found a great group of friends that like me too
- all my best friends play footbag
- pengpeng has taught me so much about life and how to not be retarded, I am very lucky
- I just looked out the window and saw a squirrel scurry past
- deep deep down at the core of 'me' I am genuinely happy and positive nearly always. I try very hard to always have a positive outlook and find ways to make situations good
- the KFM is so awesome! I love my homeboys (and girl)
- I copied and cheated my way through the last 2 or 3 years of univeristy. I am not cheating this, my final, semester and it feels great.
- karma motivates me. combined with integrity I wind up doing alot of 'good' things without anyone directly noticing
- I quit littering about 2 years ago and havn't slipped since
- it frustrates me that so many people are so negative
- it frustrates me that people act like modified has changed greatly and that it sucks now, people just feel the need to complain.
- complaining is stupid
- irony is sweet
- the past year has been a flood of learning and I feel I am a much better person now than I have ever been
- in 8 weeks school ends and my whole life changes forever... it's alot to think about
- i am starting to post on a fixed gear bike forum, but only some of the people are nice so it's not stealing that much of my time
- xanabox feels cool
- alot of people have wierd hangups from odd parenting or something, I want to raise my kids like my parents raised me
- i really want to impress everyone with things I do

I could go on forever, this thread is great, it makes you all introspective and shit.

I agree. The introspection is priceless. Some other things I thought of:

-I am introverted but over the past 6 years I've been working on being more extroverted. It's still a work in progress.
-I have a degree from an ivy league school which I usually don't like to mention to anyone because instead of impressing them it usually just makes them resent me.
-I am still paying off the loans for said education, although I am almost done :) My goal is to have them paid off before MFJ.
-I used to love science. First it was biotechnology, then later engineering and math. I finished school with a mechanical engineering degree and a math minor. Now that I am out in the real world my perspective has changed, I feel very disillusioned. Industrial companies invest billions of dollars into scientific research concerned with profit only and destroy our planet. Drug companies invest billions of dollars for cures to preventable diseases that many less people would have if they ate a healthy diet and exercised regulary. Billions of dollars goes into boner medicines like viagra, what the hell are we doing!?!??!?!?
-Over the past couple years I've tried to live a much healthier lifestyle, including vegetarianism. So many of the illnesses, conditions and diseases out there are preventable. It's far easier and much more responsible to live a healthy lifestyle now than to pay for it when I'm 40 or 50.
-I'm still an athiest, and I like science, but like any tool it can be either good or bad depending on its wielder. It's not just mad scientists and terrorists who use it for evil these days.
-I don't have an inferiority complex, but I definitely have some complex where I think most people don't like me.
-As a result of that I burn a lot of bridges. I've had many good friends that I simply don't talk to anymore because I got an inclination that they were upset at me or I did something they didn't like so I cut off contact.
-I hate getting phone calls. I consider them very invasive. I rarely answer my phone unless it's at work because then I'm obligated to. I also hate calling people on the phone.

I'll probably do another one of these.
