omg how can you say this????? so your telling me everything the government says is true??? your not just saying that your saying what the american government tells you is the truth??Senor Grommet wrote:Because truthfully, why would a substance which does no harm to you, according to what you have said, be illegal? ?
I am just shocked by how ignorant this idea is.

Consuming narcotics and controlled substances for leasure and pleasure might not be a hobby per se, but I only use drugs and alcohol in my spare time, to enlighten my mood, to socialize with friends and to have a good time. If someone gets this same feeling from building model airplanes or taste-testing wines and such, are they not hobbies as well?sand wrote:you consider smoking a pastime? thats pathetic. doing drugs is not a hobby.
Some people have different points of view.
Either;
a) Sand doesnt consume narcotics, and doesnt understand that different people do different things, or
b) He smokes so much weed that its no longer a pastime for him and more of a need.
I feel that by keeping control of my drug and alcohol usage, i can control how much money i spend on both and keep in good shape to do the other things in life that i love and that are important.
Pot may be a lifestyle choice, but i just want to get high like everyone else.

I am not saying pot ISN'T a hobby, but is eating lettuce a hobby? I enjoy eating salads, and have been doing it for many years. I am enjoying a plant, yet I don't think eating salad is a hobby.Hacky_Slacker wrote:how is something you enjoy doing, and i speak for sevral of us here, for sevral years, NOT a hobbie? what do you not get about it, And calling us pathatic, for enjoying a fucking plant? Oh ya... Sevral= Several, Hobbie= Hobby, Pathatic= Pathetic, Consencis= Consensus, and Dusitn= Dustin. Maybe all of the pot has corrupted your spelling?

I would have to agree with Jon on this.
Cannabis goes alot deeper throughout the course of learning what its all about. The culture, the feeling, the ritualistic nature of it all... there is so much more than meets the eye of the beholder... alas the people who never bothered with it may never see this point of view.
hob·by1
n. pl. hob·bies
An activity or interest pursued outside one's regular occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure.
Doesnt this describe Cannabis Consumption to a T? If you discredit my sources, check out this link.

Maybe those that dont see this corelation, need a hobby themselves?

My favorite teacher of all time was dyslexic! He was also color blind and homosexual. Wow...I never even thought of that. Good old Mr. Ulkins . . .Hacky_Slacker wrote:i am also dyslexic, believe it or not.
Edit: Mr. Ulkins was also lactose intolerant.

thanks for bringing that up windsor, I feel the same way. I can do easy freestyle fine stoned, but at the level this sport is getting too, you have to smoke very little to still be able to play, or wait til after. At the beginnings of our footbag club as it is now, I used to smoke almost every saturday afternoon, but Now, I usually wait til the end of the meeting, or smoke that night, but still play a little stony, its still more fun, your just not as good or energetic.
