Actually, at Mt. Sinai all the people became the Jewish nation. At that point everyone became a Jew and all of Judaism gets passed down by the mother. By your, my, or anyone's standards Jews have been Jews by Jewish standards since Mt Sinai.

So if by your standards, my standards, and Jesus standards he was not a Jew, how is it possible that he be the Messiah for the Jews? Maybe he's a messiah, but he's certainly not one of the Jews if he's not even a Jew. That makes no sense at all.
