I'm told the Vancouver scene is inactive at this point, But i play everyday pretty much so i may as well post in here occasionally in an attempt to revive this dead blog and the Vancouver players who may or may not play anymore.

A bit of info as to who i am and where I'm at:

My name is Antonio Pirrotta I'm 24 yrs old and live in Coquitlam B.C & i think i may possibly be the shortest footbag player in the world at 5'2
(kids don't count they aren't fully grown yet). I have been playing roughly a year and a half and I'm trying to go guiltless, But until i can master this flip open set i don't see it happening anytime soon because my guiltless toe game basically doesn't exist.

Played for 2 & 1/2 hours this afternoon, Session highlights:

- 12 guiltless (to many Osis )
- Smear x3 (strong)
- Smear BSOS
- Open Near Muted Clipper BSOS (I love this move)
- Open Switch x3 (flip still needs work :x)
- Spinning Clipper x4 (Strong)
- Spinning Clipper x2 (Flip)
- Ducking Clipper x4 (new personal record, Felt pretty cool)
- Posted on modified (first time in like a year :))

Yo Antonio. I'm going to try to make it over to the mainland sometime soon. When I do, I'll be sure to drop you a line for a session. If you ever find yourself over on Vancouver Island (Victoria specifically) look me up and we'll shred! I'll play most any day.

Sounds good Allan, I have seen tons of your vids. love the double spinning stuff, It would be an honor to get to play with such an elite player.

Had a couple sessions over the weekend, Nothing really notable was hit.

- Open near muted mirage (Flip)
- Open switch x4
- Footed flip spinning ducking clipper (not sure how clean the duck was)
- Near Osis x16 (New personal record, I feel like i could of hit 20)

For the past week or so i have been mainly just kicking and drilling tiltless and DOP's, Due to a recent medical issue that forced me to take 5 days off of footbag. I had something wrong with me for over a year and every test i had came back negative even though i knew that something was wrong. It isn't exactly a life threatening situation but its forced me to change my diet and as a result i decided to quit drinking alcohol and coffee for good :(.

My advice to anyone who read this blog: If you don't feel well and your doctor tells u your fine, Do not wait go get a 2nd or even third doctors opinion because doctors can definitely be wrong. I did decide to forgive my family doctor, But only because hes polish :).

Session Highlights:

- Osis x18 (New personal record, So close to 20 :x )
- Gyro Clipper x3
- Whirl x5 (Tied my record)

...wow time flies 8 months since a post. still playing footbag and have been all year with the exception of 2 weeks off in September to let my body heal. I guess i figured my training sessions were quite repetitive and since i play solo 99% of the time prob didn't make for an interesting blog. But since modified is so inactive these days im going to try to post at least semi regularly.

This summer i did meet up with another local player for the first time (thisisdream from modified) and that was pretty cool. we only got one session in but it was fun seeing and talking footbag with someone else after 2 yrs of solo sessions.

As far as my game is currently at im still not playing at guiltless level quite yet but i let that go last year and since then have been training more structured and focusing on string length, consistency, and good form. I spent alot of the summer just working on Dop's, Open set, Ducking/Diving, and Pickups. Pickup was a move i never liked when i first started playing. It didnt seem like it would be very helpful for whirls and it was sort of awkward to set out of so i dropped it.

This fall i wanted to start working on my variety so i decided to give whirls a 2nd go this time with the idea that all the pickup training i had done would have made the muscles stronger. I had previously learned midtime whirls, but when i started trying them downtime i felt a strong pull in my knee and since i have seen posts warning people the potential danger of whirls i figured i may as well hold off on them. Mixer is another move i have started schooling and they are coming along alright, Wish i could say the same about my drifters..... .

highlights since last post:

- Smog (strong only) (first triple dex)
- phoenix (BS) (first 5 add)
- Magellan > Open Switch Rpt
- Paste B2B
- Ducking Down BSOS
- Ducking Osis BSOS
- Diving Clipper > Ducking Clipper Rpt
- Osis x28

Hmm Thats about all i can think of :?. I still havent hit a 6 yet and the only one that seems in reach is anoixia i think its called (spinning ducking FS mirage) but there are lots of 5's i have never hit that are more realistic if i feel like add hunting.

Been playing a fair bit this month. Turned 25 on the 17th and was hoping to have a good birthday session and hit a new trick or 2 but it didnt work out. My 2 new bear bags are starting to break in pretty good (not like they werent playable from day 1) but i had been using a mushy heavily used footfighter for about 6 months so i needed to adjust a bit. I have been working on spinning and gyro more lately, I find gyro a bit tougher but some of the coolest tricks are gyro tricks so im determined to get it consistent on BS. Oh ya i realized i misspelled the player i met this summers modified name last post its thisisfate (kung ho) my bad.

highlights:

Infinity x20 something > handcatch without warming up (is it bad that i can do more osis then infinity :? )
Gyro clip x4 (looks like ill be drilling these for awhile :| )
Merkon BSOS
Gyro mirage BSOS
Spinning far mirage BS
Paralax BS
Pandora's box :? BS (usually i like trick nicknames but this ones ridiculous lol)
Spinning clipper > Ducking clipper Rpt.

I have a couple tricks/drills i wouldn't mind hitting before the end of the year, But my main goal atm is still consistency and control in the tricks/sets that i have already learned.
