No. I am saying there is a pdx that I count as a 1/2 dex instead of as a pivot. And an additional turn more than the turn already present in a pdx whirl. I treat pdx like an xdex [dex] rather than a magical mythical roughly defined [bod] add.

Don't be so matter of fact and universally negative, we're only discussing details not building a new system in this thread. :)

Ok. Even though this is about difficulty, we should still make an attempt to accurately describe the tricks. Pivots are not dexes. It gets confusing enough when you go with decimals.

As far as the end stalls are concerned, I think we have to take into consideration the most natural place for the trick to end (after all turns, pivots, dexes, etc.). For PDX Blender's case, what would you say it is? And for Barrage? I might even argue that pdx blender wouldn't even have a natural end point, while barrage is obviously toe.

It absolutely gets confusing, this is why I say things like "agree upon" for difficulty. I use components within each move as an example to help explain the physics. We can call it a pivot and a full dex instead, if we can agree? I am ok defining it in any way that will make it less confusing for sure. This is where the DS shines and I appreciate all the effort behind it. It's gonna take me a while to understand and utilize all those name changes.

About the stall - pdx blender SHOULD end logically in the clipper position. Are we talking a swooping osis? Or a clean osis? The catch in a clean osis is blind. Watch Scott D footage and watch his eyes. Is that what you mean? You may have lost me with that question. Thanks.

Barrage ends in a toe.

Edit: a swooping osis is one that is caught too early and then carried behind the back. These I consider thin or unclean, but not the or missed.

Well, if we're ignoring the totality of the trick and just going component by component, what stall appears to be the easiest to finish off all of the components. You'd have to figure out where the components before the stall end though, because osis is also confusing. Is PDX Whirl what you assumed when you see pdx blender? Or do you always assume pdx blender?

Basically, this is what makes High Plains so hard, because the end point in reality is so far away from the assumed end point.

If the end points for both tricks are 'natural', then I don't think that the osis in pdx blender should be something that makes it much harder than barrage.

Hmmmmm... What's natural, I see. So with the flow?

I can see the flow in pdx blender the way Phil Morrison hits it. It's just a far osis with a flick of a dex mid to end of move. Those look sweet!

That kind of control comes with practice. I would agree that any move feels easier with practice, but the physics remains the same. I can hit barrage 8/10 tries and pdx blender 1/10. It would be biased and subjective of me to assume pdx blender is more difficult based on that alone.

I think both moves flow, however, the front far osis adds more travel and effort up front than a clipper to toe transition. Then they both have a whirling motion, while pdx blender's whirl is from the far side. There is simply more to do overall in pdx blender.
