Re: April's Footblog
Yesterday I kicked for a bit, and then also went to juggling club for a while, the whole time looking longingly at the footbag club kick in the distance (like 20 feet away). I started kicking at around 3:30-4 (warm-up), then Ben showed up, then Marc. Then Aidan, Khoa, Derek, Ryan, Ivan, and Kat showed up too. By the time Kat showed up, I supposed I should at least attend a little bit of juggling (around 6 even though meetings start at 5:30). Then I headed back to footbag at around 7. I was mostly working on ATW/Orbit/Mirage/Clipper (the usual, yeah?). I also messed around with some other things and apparently, I footed Doof and Dragon Refraction. I was also working on ghosting the stalls I hope to get (pictures on Freestyle Footbaggers group on Facebook, but will post later).

Props on the dragon stuff. I can see a lot of unusual stuff in your immediate future. Once you get your wraps under control, clippers perfect, and ankles/knees/hips to do exactly what you want when you want, you're going to have the dopest style. Awesome kicking! Tomorrow, we will shred hard.

Re: April's Footblog
DISCLAIMER: This is actually just a little blurb-esque piece. This post. Yeah.
So, I was randomly thinking of all the people who do/have inspire/d me to footbag, and all the people I want to meet, and all the tricks I want to hit, when I decided to look at where I first started this here footblog. I hadn't even realized that I (really) started about a month and a half ago, and how much I actually have improved, even though it doesn't feel like much. When I first started, I didn't even know how to do ATWs, and now, they're like... my thing (even though I still need to practice them). I find that interesting. Reading back on what I've been doing really makes me want to improve even more and work on hitting tricks that I aspire to hit. Even if it takes time, that's the game, right? For the past couple sessions, I've been feeling like I haven't really been doing much, so I haven't been much up to the props people want to give me. Like, why do I deserve props on getting a trick that I might've hit before? I suppose I don't realize how much my form (and whatnot) have been improving because I can't see myself, whereas others can (PSUFC + Nick). Thinking back on it, it's really nice to get props and have people who are supportive and encouraging.
And now, I now that all sounds really gushy or what, but it's nice to look back and have a new perspective on being frustrated on what seems like slow improvement. Sometimes we all can't just hit a new trick every session, but we can work on it. YEAH! YEAH!
So now, I'm even more excited for the session PSUFC (PSU Footbag Club) will have tomorrow and I'll keep a positive attitude as well as a more passionate/fierce attitude about hitting tricks/drilling/practicing/etc.
AND. EAST COASTS. I'm excited to gain all this knowledge and wisdom from other footbaggers. And to improve still, of course.
I bet at this point, y'all are wondering who's inspired me/who I want to meet/tricks I want to hit. (Probably not really). But, I'll let you in on these little secrets (AS OF NOW). (This means that if you aren't mentioned, you might be in the future, so don't worry!).
People Who've Inspired Me:
**PSUFC: Forreal. Everyone! (Nick Polini, Nate Pipenberg - even though they graduated last year, I was interested when they were here (PSU) and they've done justice, y'know?; Ben Babyak, Ivan Iakimenko, Marc Peralta, Ryan Morris, Khoa Nguyen; all the other members)
-People I met at the PSU Jam '13: Doug Tank, Matt Kemmer, Mikie Etlinger (also, thanks for visiting PSU!), as well as others I didn't get to talk to as much (Drew Martin, Matt Cross, Mike Toolan, Anton Britting, Zach Hoffa, John Goode, Jon Schneider, Chrissy Fryer, and perhaps others (sorry, my memory...)).
I'm actually going to make a different list of people who I want to meet (who also obviously inspire me because why else would I want to meet them? Besides.. being an awesome that is).
People I Want To Meet: (in no particular order)
-Dave Clavens, Jay Boychuk, Jorden Moir, Cassy Taylor, Hanna (Hania) Mickiewicz, Evan Gatesman, Nick Landes, Ken Somolinos, Honza Weber, Johnny Suderman, Felix Zenger, Caroline Birch, Jindrich Smola, Brian Sherrill, Ian Brill, Peter Irish, Anssi Sundberg, and pretty much everyone (but those are ones that stand out to me).
Tricks I want to hit: (besides all of them)
-Doof, Fairy, Flapper, Illusion, Hopover, Pendulum, Pixie, Rake
-DLO, Drifter, Osis, Swirl, Whirl
-Paradox/Symp. stuff
-Double Over-Down, Down Double-Down, Dyno
-Ripstein, Dimwalk, Torque, Ripwalk, Blurry Drifter
-Mobius, Food Processor, Big Apple, Marius, Gauntlet, Shooting Star
Also, there's no specific order in how I split the tricks either, kind of. Make sense or not of what you will.
Might not be exact, but... Me: "I want to learn Mobius... eventually." Nick: "That's like the coolest thing I've ever heard anyone say."

Cool, I want to meet you too!

I have decided that I really want to visit your club! So even if ECFC doesn't happen for me I will make sure that this does happen ASAP!
It's only a 6 hour drive..
Sweet goals! I too would like to hit Mobius eventually, in addition to 69 and Nemesis
It may not always seem like it but as long as you're playing you're progressing so keep it up and you'll be hitting all those tricks in no time

Ben: Thanks! I will work hard on controlling my body! I hope to have a pretty dope style :3 That'd be cool... *daydreams*
Also, yes! I shall race you! >:O
Cassy: I love the picture XD
You should definitely visit the PSUFC! We'd LOVE to have you over!! There's crash space and food and non-stop kicking!
Or something along those lines.
I'm not familiar with 69, enlighten me?
Nick: Thanks!~~
I mean, I used footbag.org to help me with the names... BUT. I am familiar with them! I just need to learn them
And I'm excited to hear this tip of yours! (I hope it's not just something like, "practice"... hmmm....). EAST COASTSS!!!!
Today, we kicked. We kicked hard. (I don't know why, but I'm just narrating this to myself in some epic voice). But anyways. Derek was already at Old Main when I got there. Then Lauren showed up, then Aidan, and Ben, and Marc, and Khoa, and Ryan, and Ivan, and Kat. Maybe not specifically in that order, but maybe so. Anywho, I was mostly focused on drilling... sort of. I was working on my clippers, as well as practicing stretching my legs/feet. I also worked on ATWs/orbits so I don't get rusty. I tried butterfly/mirage/legover/outside>sole stall/clipper>flapper/outside>dragon>anchor/dustpan(?)/probably some other things. But yeah.... Didn't really hit any of them, but EVENTUALLY! (side note: I was off from the side of the group pretty much the whole time, drilling/kicking on my own as they circled up and all that). At some point, Marc suggested that I try same side tricks or asked about it, and showed me same side butterfly, which I hit! Two or three times! Yeah! That was cool. But it sucks that I can't hit regular butterfly yet... SOON ENOUGH! I also got 6 consecutive inside kicks! New Record! (My old record was 4). I FEEL LIKE I'M IMPROVING! YEAH!!

Re: April's Footblog
PSUFC had a session today. I also had an exam before that I wasn't at all prepared for (exam was for Phil 127: Intro to Philosophy of the Mind). I finished the exam then got some snacks, then headed over to Old Main to kick. It was still early (4 compared to session time of 6) and no one else was there. I eventually found out that there was an event that was going to take place starting at 6, so I then informed the group, and we changed our meet to the IST building. I practiced toe stalls, inside stalls, clippers, legover (hit once! again, footed a bunch of times again), mirage (not very successfully), (same side) butterfly (not very successfully), and ATW/orbit. The usual. Yep... Also, people who showed up: Ben, Ivan, Ryan, Kat, Marc, Aidan, Khoa.
I found out that I need to learn the (most) correct form of the magic hop. I also tried out stringing, kind of. If you count switching from toe stall to inside stall to ATW to clipper, and the sort. I need more practice. But yeah! That'll be fun. I guess I'm actually surprised I haven't really tried that sort of thing until now. I think it was because I never really had a flow or anything, which I still need to work on...
Anywho. EAST COASTS!!! It's just next weekend! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! TIME FLEW BY SO FAST. I'm excited to see everyone and everything. It'll be my first competition I'll be attending
(AND NOT THE LAST! - ideally).

Re: April's Footblog
David does 69 (nuclear drifter) back to back at the start of this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oO9EaDltEw
I wanted to find footage of Johnny hitting it cause he's pretty much the best at nuclear sets. Dave definitely does the trick justice though
I'm surprised you haven't tried doing strings too much yet! I would definitely encourage working more on stringing stalls together and getting into a rhythm with it. Instead of working on harder tricks just try doing toe/inside/outside stalls back and forth.
I challenge you to hit 10 toe stalls back to back switching feet each time and also 10 inside stalls.
See you next weekend

Cassy: Ah! That's cool!
I maybe actually am not sure what would be considered a string really, but I have done toe stalls with a couple of other stuff, but they're usually fairly short. So... I don't know.
I'm not sure if I hit your challenge yet, toe stalls, yes, but I need to work on my inside stalls
Anywho, see you THIS weekend! YEAH!
Today there was an impromptu session (as in most cases that aren't Wed./Sat. I feel) at the squash courts. Ivan, Ben, and Aidan were already there. Along the way, Derek, Ryan, and Marc showed up while I was there. I mostly worked on basics and doing toe stalls/inside stalls/ATWs/orbits/clippers. My knee started (or maybe was already) hurting, so I tried taking it easy. I don't want to be all injured at East Coasts, eh? But I also don't want to not practice, so I tried to bear through it. I need to work on my insides, definitely. I also hit toe>op toe>same side clipper (not sure if that's the right way to say it actually.... near clipper?). Anywho, it's been a long day... I hope my legs get better soon
(My left ankle also may be acting up/hurting a bit, and my right pelvic region hurts once in a while, and my right ankle used to be a bit strained but seems to be better).
EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention that I was talking to Ben about Nick's Shred Global interview. I very much enjoyed it.
One of my favorite parts is:
Q: "You have a huge passion for footbag and for inspiring other people to play – what gets you so motivated to teach others?"
A: "Oh jeeze, my passion is showing again? Zipppppp! Sorry about that.."
Just so everyone can also enjoy the interview (again), I will post the link.

Re: April's Footblog
Hi there. So it's been a while... it seems. Which means two days, but it seems like foreverrrr. My legs have been killing me. Not too badly because I'm not pushing it, especially with East Coasts just around the corner, but still. I want to kick and my legs aren't making this any easier. My left knee and ankle hurt, and my right "hip flexor" (I'm quoting it because I was told that's what it's called) has also been hurting. I casually practiced inside kicks, as well as simple semi-strings of toe stalls/inside stalls/ATWs/orbits/clipper (merely attempts at clipper for today). I really hope my legs get better so I can learn more!
Anywho, people who showed up today: Derek, Ben, Ivan, Ryan, Kat, Marc (way late), Khoa, George, and new person Jake! And I think that's it. That was cool/fun. I've actually also been really out of it lately, so that may have also affected my "game." Apparently I talk really quietly and therefore look like I'm talking to myself, when I am in fact responding to conversations or saying little quips. Maybe I was talking to myself though. Only those who had conversations or whatnot will know I guess. I certainly don't.
That aside. EAST COASTS! TWO DAYS AWAY! YEAH! YEAHHHHH!

Re: T-Hawkasaurus Rex [April's Footblog (PSU)]
Rawrrr. *does best t-rex impression, which ends up sounding like a hawk* Hence, T-Hawkasaurus Rex.

Picture drawn by Marc on the bus.
SO. YOU HEARD ABOUT EAST COASTS, RIGHT?
I survived it. Barely.
But let me tell you this story.
Friday. We approach the bus. It's Derek, Ben, Marc, Ryan, Aidan, and me. Well, actually, let me start from the beginning. And let me tell you more accurately. Derek gets to the bus terminal early. He wonders where everyone is and inquires through Facebook chat. Ben arrives shortly after. I am on a bus to the bus terminal. I find them at the end and we all chat it up. We're there about 45 minutes early. Shortly after, Marc arrives, after coming from the bank, if I'm correct. Then, the four of us are waiting for our other members/friends (Ryan and Aidan). Ryan was taking an exam so we wouldn't know when he would come, but he got there with about 20 minutes to spare. Then, we're just there wondering where Aidan is. When we get on the bus, Aidan still hadn't arrived. Marc was my bus buddy. (YEAH BUS BUDDIES!). It's getting to departure time. Still no sight of Aidan. Marc receives a text saying that Aidan is on the bus... but where was he? The other bus. When he got to the right bus, Marc just yelled at him. FRESHMAN. (GAWD. RIGHT?). Whatta freshman. We gotta take care of our freshie though. But all in all, it turned out well. The bus left at 3:30, 15 minutes late. During most of the bus ride, we all were in the back and loud and what-have-you. I talked to Marc most of the way, but when he took a nap, I was mostly spacing out then decided to listen to music right before he woke up. Which he then decided to continuously hit me with his lumbar-support pillow for listening to music and not talking to him.

We ended up arriving at New York around 8. We were at Port Authority in Manhattan. We were hungry. It was decided on the bus that we would get food. We walked around looking for what we would all agree to eat. Finally, we decided to get Five Guys. They ended up making my burger wrong (I got a Little Bacon Cheeseburger). They forgot most of the stuff. Bacon, ketchup, mayo, grilled onions and mushrooms. So I had to ask them to make another (please) because I paid for it! Right? I should get my money's worth. So, I ended up getting a free burger (which, trust me, I felt bad.. They should've just listened to me and added to it instead of make a new one, but oh well). Then we went back to the Port Authority terminal and ate inside. While I was eating, everyone started to kick... I'm a slow eater.

Then, we made our journey to Bruce's place. I've been there before, and apparently was the only one who had, so I led the way. We walked to Penn Station because the nearby stations didn't have the metrocard machines. Then we took the L to Bruce's place. When we got off at the right stop, I just led the way without really checking my phone, so Ryan seemed a bit worried, but I'm a visual rememberer so, I just went with what I remembered. And luckily, we got to the right place. Yay! (That sounds so reassuring, doesn't it?).
By the time we got there, Nick, Nadiah, Matt Kemmer, John Goode, Drew, Ben Cooke, Barrett, Mike (these last three people I had just met there/that night), and Bruce were there. We watched a lot of weird/funny videos. Towards midnight, Kevin Hogan, and Pete Bowler arrived. (I just met Pete Bowler then too). Also, Mikie might've made his way over at some point, but I don't really remember. The days run into each other.
Aaaaand... That's pretty much Friday. I don't remember a lot of specifics besides that, but yeah. There was a lot of people sleeping there.
Saturday. Apparently, this was the earliest a group of footbag players have been up. Around 10AM. Especially after a night of semi-partying. (We party so hard). I forget when we all went to sleep, but I ended up waking up around 7AM because it was kind of uncomfortable to share a couch with another person (*coughcough* Ben). What a couch hog. Kevin Hogan was on the other side (since the couch is L-shaped... kind of like this |_). Kevin let me have the side he was going to take, just to hop over to the side that John Goode was dozing off at and was let to sleep there since John Goode assumed the floor. Anyways, at 7AM, Nick and Nadiah were already awake. Eventually, Nadiah went to take a shower, and Nick was on the futon at the top of the stairs, peering over everyone. He then continued to promote violence by motioning to Ben to punch people awake. Ben made his way to the top with Nick for a bit, then on his way down tripped over something (one of the speakers?), which created a loud noise that woke most of the people up. Then, he gave Nick a thumbs up because he inadvertently woke everyone up. So, with everyone starting to wake up, we all were just there for a while. There was a point where everyone wanted to take a shower, but no one went to take a shower because someone else was going to but became busy. Way to make use of that time, yeah?
Anywho, eventually, we departed for breakfast. Brunch. Lunch. Whatever time it was, which was definitely at least 12PM. We split into two groups, where in one, was Derek, Bruce Dole, John Goode, and Boatz. And in the other was Kevin Hogan, Pete Bowler, Nick and Nadiah, Matt Kemmer, Marc, Ben, Aidan, Ryan, and me. Both groups went to a diner (different ones). For my group, we were separated into two groups. There was a group of Kevin, Pete, Nick, Nadiah, Ben, and me. Then a group of Aidan and Ryan, and then Matt and Marc. I don't know about any other group, but at the table I was at, Kevin and Nadiah both got coffee and cheese omelettes, Pete and I got the french toast lumberjack special with bacon and over-easy eggs, except that Pete also got hot chocolate and toast, and I got a strawberry egg cream (drink), Nick got a florentine and a vanilla egg cream, then Ben got water and the farmer's omelette. There was a bit of a scene at the end, but that's in the past now. By the time we were all done, the other group (of Derek, Bruce, John, and Boatz) were waiting outside (when I got out at least, I think). And then we split up again to get to the event site. In the rent-a-ride car I was in, there was also Derek, Ryan, John, and Bruce. In the other was (I believe) Matt, Ben, Marc, and Aidan. Then Kevin, Pete, Nick and Nadiah went in Boatz's car. We all eventually got to the event site, where we were greeted by Cassy (who was super friendly and met everyone by hugs). I forget who else was already there, but yeah!
It seemed a bit hectic, but there were circles formed. I mostly kicked with Nadiah. I met Alyssa, and Waylon, and Ted, and perhaps some others though. I'm not quite sure what went on with the net players/game, but there was intermediate circle, novice circle, open circle (battle format?), and open routines. For intermediate circle, there was Oli, Ben, Marc, Ryan, and Mikie. Marc asked me to record it, but I kind of failed epic-ly because I didn't realize his phone wasn't on video already and there were a lot of people crossing the path anyway. I eventually figured that I wasn't recording though and got a bit, but still, not good. *sigh* Sorry Marc! And whoever else wanted the footage....
Novice circle was up afterwards, since during intermediate circle, Derek and Aidan went to get water and they were the only ones participating. Then, it was announced that Marc, Ryan, and Mikie went to the next round of intermediate circle. Then, it was announced that Derek won novice. Then I think was the second round of intermediate circle. Mikie ended up winning (congratz!) He did a real good job with some crazy tricks there. He definitely deserved it. Then, there was also open routines with Mike Toolan (who had shown up around 2:30PM), Cassy Taylor, Jon Schneider, and Dan Greer (who ended up getting injured and couldn't perform his routine, sadly). Cassy ended up winning routines (congrats!). Then, there were some rounds for open circles, which... I think was just Boatz vs. Toolan, Pete vs. Nick, John vs. Jon, and Matt vs. Dan (which ended up not taking place - since Dan got hurt).
After a while, we cleaned up and went to start the night. Some people went to Ben (C.)'s place first off. The rest of us found our way back to Bruce's place (intending to wash up and get ready for the night). We planned to shower and get food then head to Ben's place, but what ended up happening was that we got pizza that we ate at Bruce's place and then watched Samurai Cop, and most of the people drank and smoked and all that good stuff. We were all pretty beat from the day that most of us stayed at Bruce's place. I believe it was at least Pete and Kevin who headed to Ben's place, which I hear was a lot of fun. At some points through the night, Mikie strolled on in with Oli (who I then first met), and they left with Matt Kemmer, then Matt Cross showed up for a bit. Eventually, it got late (because time does that), and then towards 3AM I believe, Pete and Kevin came back, just as the rest of us were about to sleep. Pete ended up crashing on the couch, and I occupied the side that Ryan was going to take (sorrrrry! kind of.). But, whatta night.
Sunday. I think we all got up around 10 or 11 today, but it was different than Saturday. It was more of a unison getting up around that time or so. It was also more crazy. Boatz threw water at Nick. Derek threw chocolate around. I hit Marc with the couch cushions (which are huge!). There was probably more shenanigans going on that I can't remember. Some of us eventually went to get coffee/bakery goods. After we returned, Bruce went and got eggs and bagels and cooked them (helped by John), which was nice of them. The food was goood. I had a plain bagel with butter, cream cheese, cheese, and egg. Yum. Everyone else had more or less the same (perhaps not with the cream cheese, or just the cream cheese in Boatz's case at least).
We got to the event site earlier today, or maybe around the same time. Instead of a rent-a-ride this time, we took public transit. The PSU gang (including myself) had to leave early, around 3PM to catch our bus back to State College. Before leaving, I saw the trophies, made by Bruce, which looked sick. Wish I could've gotten an extra coaster part haha. Well, the PSU crew made our way back to Port Authority, where we ended up kicking for a bit (well, I didn't, but everyone else did). A lady next to the snack place asked me for money (and I know, I was probably conned or whatever), but I gave her $10 anyway, just in the case (slight slight slight chance) that she was telling the truth. If anything, it helped her with something. Then we got on the bus and headed home. This time around, I sat next to Ben, and instead of talking, I slept. I'm not sure what everyone else did. Then, we got back! YEAH!.
TLDR;
East Coasts was awesome and fun and if you missed it, I'm sorry. You had to be there.
"I'm riding on a dolercoaster of emotion."
On Saturday, I hit legover/mirage successfully a couple of times, and practiced on stringing basics (the usual I've been doing). Aaaaand yeah.
Today, I hear we have a special guest, who I knew who it was when he was still secret because I keep up with the freestyle footbaggers page on Facebook. It's going to be Jean-Philippe Labbe, whenever he shows up (or hoping that he shows up during the time that we're having the session). Yay! More kicking.

Re: T-Hawkasaurus Rex [April's Footblog (PSU)]
YEAH! Today was an extremely fun session. Although my ankle was hurting all day, by the end of it all, it pretty much got all better! YEAH!YEAH!YEAH! The session started around 8PM, I believe, but I got there around 8:30. When I got there, Khoa, Ivan, Kat, and Aidan were already there. Shortly afterwards, Ben and Marc showed up, then Ryan. I was mostly practicing the usual at first (toe stalls, insides, ATWs, the occasional clipper).
Jean-Philippe showed up with Marie around 10PM or so. He joined the circle with Marc, Aidan, and me (since we split groups). Khoa also had to leave early, which sucked D: It was like East Coasts all over again. But yeah, he warmed up the first couple rounds, then did a whole bunch of cool stuff (that went over my head). For most of the time still, I practiced the usual, but also once in a while tried mirage or legover. Eventually, I was hitting legover seemingly easy (to me), and even almost got legover bsos, which was exciting. I mostly had only practiced legover ss, so getting legover ws was exciting. I think I had also gotten mirage at least once, but today was more of a legover day. And I also tried pickup a couple of times, with no avail. But soon enough... Soon enough.
JP also helped me with tips on clipper, which was nice. Curling my toes was a reminder, but it was a helpful reminder because I tend to forget to do that.... I must remember...
We all ended up kicking until around 11, when we got (nicely) kicked out of rec hall.
Today was a good session for me because I hadn't had an intense session for a while on account of my legs hurting. I almost was going to take it easy as usual, but pushed myself through. And see where that got me. Yeah. Yay! Legovers! I hope I'm more consistent with them now. It was fun. It was a fun time. I'm happy now.
After the session, I went with JP and Marie to get their car to bring over to the shredhaus. By the time we got there, everyone was already there (everyone = Ben, Ivan, Marc, and Ryan). They ordered pizza and picked up beer (Blue Moon), and Marc got his coffee. It was a good time. Talking talking talking and fun times. Yay!

Re: T-Hawkasaurus Rex [April's Footblog (PSU)]
Impromptu session today (mostly as usual). I had an exam for one of my philosophy classes, then thought it'd be a good idea to kick to get my mind off how horrible I did on it. Derek, Ben, Ivan, Khoa, and Kat showed up. I was also thinking that since my ankle was hurting yesterday, but after kicking with JP and the gang, my legs felt pretty good. I also was just pretty happy about yesterday, but anyway, I decided that I'd give kicking through the pain another go. Today both of my ankles started to hurt in the morning, but ehh. While I was kicking, my right hip started to hurt, but whatever body. Be that way. I mostly tried the usual, except this time with more legover, since it seemed to be going well yesterday.
The best thing I seemed to hit was ATW>legover, which I then wanted to get bsos, but that didn't happen.
Also, I was reminded that I sometimes say "profound" things very nonchalantly. Perhaps someone will post about it because I can't really even remember what I said how I said it.

Nick: YEAH! I like writing. Also, it's fun to see the progress I make. And yeah! EAST COASTS WAS ALL THAT IT LED UP TO BE AND MORE! And yeah, I kind of regret that, but also, I was just keeping it easy (legs! argh!) and didn't want to hold anyone back by sucking so much. I'm glad to hear that! Yay! I was hoping that it would help because I enjoy kicking with her and talking to her
I brought it up to Ivan when I read that post on Facebook, and I'm hoping something, even if it's small, could work out. That'd be really cool. And if anything, if something big doesn't happen this year, perhaps next year! IDEAS!
And yeah! It was a bit late, but your interview happened to come up in conversation, and yeah. Yeah. Haha.
Glad you're flattered!
Today we had a session! THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE! Perhaps the most we've had everrrrrr. Derek, Ben, and Khoa were there when I showed up. Then Ivan stopped by, but had to leave for laundry I believe, but eventually came back after Greg showed up. Ryan showed up with or shortly after Ivan came back. Then Kat and George and Lauren showed up. Eventually, when Ben was about to leave, Aidan showed up. Then Marc showed up. SO MANY PEOPLEEEEE. IT WAS AWESOME. Too bad we all couldn't have all been there at the same time. And then we were also missing Tom and Jeff. But yeah. It was cool. Anywho, I worked on the usual, mostly toe stalls and insides. And then also legover. I got legover BSOS. Which I'm stoked for. I also hit butterfly twice (first time it hit my leg and therefore I didn't catch it, but almost!), so I guess actually once... BUT STILL! I'm excited. Today was a good day.
My near-future goals now: ATW>legover bsos, pickup, butterfly bs, illusion, more consistent mirage, (at least) 10 toe>inside bsos
^Ifthis makes sense. Apologies if my connotation (or whatever the term is) is wrong.

Props on the legover BSOS today, that looked really smooth and controlled. Also, good attempts at clipper - When I started kicking, clipper was the most awkward thing ever and I hated them - just keep attempting them every session and you are bound to get better at them!
Definitely practice mirages more. Butterfly will come as clipper gets better. Also, I think you can hit ATW>Legover rpt, not just BSOS. Keep kicking - your persistence is starting to pay off, even if you don't quite realize it yet.

Ivan: Thanks! I think you were the only person who really saw that.
I will! And thanks!
I'll try --- I think they'll come soon enough. Yay for persistence!
Session today! I was half an hour late... But anyways, Marc, Ryan, Derek, Ivan, and Khoa were already there. Angie (Marc's friend or something) stopped by to kick for a bit, and I realized I think I met her before (I gave her a weird look at first because I was pretty sure I recognized her, then found out how I knew her). Ben eventually came. Then I think that's all that there was. I got three consecutive inside stalls, which made me happy. Almost four! Soon enough, I'll be able to do SOOOO many. Soon. I also got pickup bs. AWESOME. Practiced toe stalls/legovers/insides mostly. But yeah. It was a short session.
Eventually, I went to eat at Penn Kebab/Big Bowl (they're next to each other) with Ryan, Derek, Marc, and Ben. Ivan came and got food to go, then we met up at the shredhaus. We played Cards Against Humanity ('we' being Ivan, Ryan, Marc, Ben, Kat, and me; Kat showed up a couple rounds into the game). Then eventually Ben and Marc left to hit the bars, and Ryan, Kat, Ivan, and I watched Horrible Bosses.
It was a fun day.
I will! And thanks!

Re: T-Hawkasaurus Rex [April's Footblog (PSU)]
Session today! It seemed shorter than usual. Started around 3-3:30. It was Ben, Kat, Ivan, Greg, Marc, and me. I practiced toe stalls, inside stalls, legover, ATW, orbit, clippers, and perhaps a bit of some other stuff. I hit hopover today, which was cool. My legs got tired quickly and my right hip-flexor is still hurting a bit. But whatever body. Be that way.
After the session, Kat, Ivan, Marc, and I went to the creamery and got milkshakes/ice cream. It was good. I got a monster mash milkshake (vanilla ice cream with oreo and caramel swirl I believe). Then we visited Ben at work - Kat and Ivan got food from there.
After that, I went to see the homecoming dance competition, as well as CHILDISH GAMBINO. It was cool
I also made a new friend which was cool.
