Well keep my email handy!
I don't know if I'll be in France still, but I can hook you up with footbaggers around the country nonetheless.

Just holidays?

This week I'm going to start looking for work in Bruxels (man I never know how to spell that in English). With a bit of luck in 90 days I'm there. I was there this week-end and the place fscking rocks. Everyone speaks french (with a slight accent), it's so Europeen that most of what I saw looked just like certain parts of Paris. I know they have a scene there so I'll check that out too.

Oh, and it's a whole 1h25 train ride from the heart of Paris, so I won't exactly be disconnected either.

I won't be selling my appartment so crash space can be available (I will rent it out at some point but I have to move out first). The scene here in Paris is good with a bunch of eager young shredders that are going to make names for themselves.

As for the French Connexion, well as I posted a while ago: we spent the last 18 months or so preparing a routine, and to tell the truth it's just not fun. We managed to get the fun out of team freestyle. So after a long chat Fred and I decided to leave it at that with the promise that "When we want to do some team freestyle FOR FUN then we'll shred".

I think that's a cool motto.
Anyway I'll keep you all posted on my moving around Europe.

Max, I know why team freestyle lost it's fun, because you were both such fun philanthropists with your routines at World's! You gave away all your fun! The French Connection threw down the coolest sets for sure.

I wish you luck in Brussles (I also am unsure how to spell it) it sounds like you are going to have fun there! I *love* really european cities, I am so jealous of the places you get to be.

Hey, perhaps this being set free from Paris is in line with your new set-free footbag game.

Take care max.
shred hard.

edit: also, you are set free from a 'relationship' of sorts with the switch to singles only.

had a fun session yesterday with Fred.
Just a quick hour and half then I hurt my ankle (not quite sure how). During those 90 minutes we filmed about 45, so maybe that'll be up on the net once it's edited (say by summer 2012 or thereabouts).
I tried some new stuff out with heels:

drifter xbd heel
pixie same xbd heel
a couple of long duck / dive combos with run > diving heel > diving clipper > rest of run

I have a pdx whirling swirl midrun on video also if I remember correctly and 2 new tricks:

- diving pdx drifter, or zulu drifter without planting.
- spinning symp swirling pickup

both unsealed

also I'm very very happy for having hit a very clean gyro weaving drifter. I'd been trying that for years.
Other than that a cool little combo i hit:

weaving osis > far dyno > weaving osis > far dyno.

I gave tomahawk swirl and diving whirling swirl (non symp) a couple of attempts... still no luck but I'm awfully close.
I've also been trying double dyno (not motion) and reverse whirr but damn those are hard!

Other than that I just simply had a fun session. lots of dives/ducks osii, drifters and spins. I'm really enjoying the drifters these days!

As usual I was really eager to kick. I guess that kicking once or twice every two weeks has several advantages:
1) you're super psyched up to shred
2) your legs are well rested and ready to take a beating

I've got too much work to do, I'm off.

hah yeah I kinda flipped out on New Years and started smoking again.
But I don't really feel like quitting as yet. I'll slowly regain motivation and quit again.

But too much shit going on at the moment. I was way too stressed out when I quit.

and weaving is ducking same side.

Oh no! You broke your streak?? 8O

You made it so far though!

Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted.

You should go back and re-read all the great things you said about not smoking.

I'm gonna go hit the bong, Peace!

haha good point there Mosh.
Hmm my take on the subject is that it's very easy to quit smoking when things are going your way and you're not losing sleep over "stuff".
Got a steady weel-paid non-stress-inducing job? Got a steady gf you love? Got great friends? Living happily without a care in the world? Yes? Well you'll be ablr to quit smoking in no time!
I'm in the intricate process of winiing back for the woman of my life, whilst changing coutries (going to one I know no-one in) and also while changing professionnal sectors..

it's not as easy as it sounds, and it doesn't even sound easy. So yeah the cigarettes are the easy way out of relieving me of a bit of stress.

Andrew: Yes there was a videoJam last friday, yet I didn't participate (had other things going on) but there should be a vid up shortly.

As for the documentary on footjam, Fred is currently working on it and it has def. not been scrapped I'll keep you posted on that.
